Two people walked into the parking lot.
Ai Bao cried out in great excitement, “That’s him! Wu Hanxiao!”
“Are you sure he’s an actor? Why have I never heard of him before?” An Yibei frowned and gave that man a quick glance.
He was average-looking and of average height. An Yibei couldn’t see how the guy differed from any other passerby.
“Well… He’s just getting started in showbiz and hasn’t gained much popularity yet. He’s quite famous in the online voice acting community, though. His followers on Weibo are up to six figures!”
An Yibei arched his eyebrows, turned the steering wheel, and skillfully bumped into the other car just as those two were backing out of their parking bay.
There was a faint thud —
Ai Bao only felt the car sway slightly when An Yibei smirked. “It’s done.”
Just like that? Ai Bao was dumbfounded.
An Yibei got out when Wu Hanxiao’s manager opened the door in a threatening manner and yelled, “What’s wrong with you? Can’t you see we were backing out?!”
“Can’t you see my signal light, then?” An Yibei said unhurriedly. “Are you blind? Can’t you tell when to dodge? Are you mannerless or brainless?”
The manager was nonplussed at those words and didn’t know what to say.
“Call the insurance company! I’m dialing the Bunny Hotline to report you now!” An Yibei made to reach for his phone.
Bunny Hotline was a Yu City TV program which specialized in reporting things like the brawl between Miss A’s cat and Mr. B’s dog, or the discounted price of eggs in a supermarket still being higher than that in the food market. The program had good viewer ratings and was well-known among the people of Yu City.
The manager backed off immediately at those words. Smiling obsequiously, he said, “It’s just a little scratch. I’m sure we can settle this…”
“Of course not! This is an expensive car and I need compensation!” An Yibei adjusted his glasses. “Now, how much are you going to pay me?”
Inside the car, Ai Bao was astonished!
She had just heard those shameless words from Mr. An, the most upright and noble man!
That was more terrifying than a horror movie!
The manager’s face turned livid. An Yibei was driving a secondhand Cherry that couldn’t be worth more than 30,000 yuan, but their car was an Audi that was rented by the company, which had a price tag of over 200,000!
They hadn’t mentioned the service fee yet, but he was brazen enough to ask for compensation?!
“Mr. Whatever-you’re-called, do you think you can swindle money out of us just like that?” A sultry, mesmerizing voice rang out at that moment, which made An Yibei narrow his eyes.
It was… so seductive that it had an androgynous quality to it.
Wu Hanxiao got out and darted a look at An Yibei. “I’m not paying you a penny! Get the traffic police here, if you want!”
The manager scolded him. “No, we’re not! You’ll be finished if the paparazzi gets wind of this!”
Wu Hanxiao gritted his teeth and snorted. “I’m not paying him!”
The manager was calling Wu Hanxiao a miser in his head. The guy had all the talent, but was such a skinflint.
Being his manager hadn’t turned out to be lucrative at all. All the guy ever did was swindle young women out of their money.
“Fine, don’t pay me.” An Yibei cast a stern look at him. “Call the police, then! This is my card!”
With that, he handed them his card. The manager took it suspiciously, and his knees buckled when he saw the “Thousand Island Law Firm” printed on it!
And the next line read: Chief Counsel!
The manager almost fainted.
An Yibei feigned a careless tone when he said, “It’s your lucky day that I wasn’t driving my own car… or I’d never let you off the hook this easily!”
