Silence.
A dead silence.
They looked at each other and both of them were speechless.
A couple of seconds later, Ai Bao screamed at the top of her lungs. “Aaah —”
She turned around and was conflicted over whether she should cover her breasts or her lower half when An Yibei said calmly behind her, “I’d cover my face if I were you.”
…!!!
Ai Bao felt like jumping out the window. Burying her face in her hands, she yelled, “Don’t look!”
An Yibei smiled. “But I’ve already seen everything.”
“Shut up!”
“You’ve got a great body there.”
“You… you animal!”
Before she could say anything else, she was pulled back and spun around. An Yibei had pulled her into his arms.
Frightened, she was going to scream again when she felt something warm against her skin. Opening her eyes, she saw that An Yibei had taken off his shirt and wrapped it over her shoulders.
Ai Bao turned around and quickly buttoned up the shirt. Her face was as red as an apple.
An Yibei arched an eyebrow. “I was going to show you what an animal I am… It’s just that, Baobao, I’m not going to force you.”
He was willing to wait.
Ai Bao stared at him in a daze.
“What would you like to eat? I’ll make us some dinner.”
He turned to leave, but she caught his wrist.
Ai Bao’s voice was as tiny as the sound of a mosquito. “You can… if you really want to…”
An Yibei narrowed his eyes. “Do you know what you’re saying?”
Ai Bao couldn’t think straight. A hundred voices seemed to speak all at once in her head and she didn’t know what she was doing.
All she knew was that she liked this man, so much so that she didn’t care if she got hurt.
“Mr. An.” Ai Bao blinked. “Will you lie to me?”
Unlike Wu Hanxiao, An Yibei didn’t make some elaborate promise, but only said in a solemn voice, “I can’t make promises about things in the future. Baobao, I’m a man, not a god. I’m not perfect. I’m sorry if I’ve disappointed you.”
Seeing how earnest he was, Ai Bao couldn’t help but chuckle. “Hey, stop calling me dumb. I think you’re the dumber one here. Shouldn’t you fill my ears with honeyed words now? That way, I’ll get into bed with you willingly…”
An Yibei said, “… Baobao, if my goal is to sleep with you, there’s no need for me to coax you.”
The corner of Ai Bao’s mouth twitched. “What do you mean?”
“I think a dummy like you will do that without my help.”
Ai Bao bristled. “Goodbye! I’m going back home!”
She stormed off, but only realized when she reached the door that she hadn’t changed her clothes yet, nor did she have any money on her. Hitting her head with her fist in frustration, she inched back to An Yibei. “Give me some money.”
An Yibei smiled gently. “Haven’t you been warned that you should never piss off a lawyer? Or… you’ll lose everything, including your pants.
“However, your lawyer here is willing to give all his money to you.” An Yibei picked up his wallet on the table and removed his ID card. He then tossed it to Ai Bao without hesitation. “There. My debit cards, credit cards, and my salary card. All yours.”
Ai Bao said after a long pause, “So, you’re the one without pants now?”
“…” Blue veins popped in the corner of An Yibei’s forehead as he said between gritted teeth, “Shall I start by unbuckling my trousers now? Huh?” He was turning into a big bad wolf; the little woman had it coming!
“Wow, you’re giving me your trousers as well? Mr. An, you’re so generous!” Ai Bao was greatly moved.
An Yibei was speechless.
Could he get a refund on this girlfriend?
Could he?!
