He had participated in the first place just to keep An Xiaxia company.
But he didn’t want it to go public, or An Xiaxia would face much unwanted attention.
Jiang bowed politely. “I’ll handle it.”
He left the office to find Tong Yan outside with a hand over his chest and a twisted face. On his phone was that video as well.
“What’s going on with you?”
“Jiang, can you maybe ask Mr. Sheng why he’s doing this to us poor single people all the time? And why is he so good at it?” asked Tong Yan indignantly.
Jiang chuckled. “You can’t handle it already? You haven’t seen Mr. and Mrs. Sheng’s interactions on a daily basis. Tsk, tsk, tsk…”
Good luck surviving that, poor single person.

Sheng Yize told An Xiaxia about the program.
An Xiaxia had no objections.
She and Su Xiaomo only went on the show for fun and hardly anyone knew who they were.
But with Sheng Yize and He Jiayu on board, it was a totally different story.
Those two guys had a substantial number of fans.
At the thought of coming under the spotlight, An Xiaxia would rather not be on the show at all.
Nearly every member of the crew came to plead the decision in the next few days, but Sheng Yize wouldn’t budge. He even offered an economic incentive, agreeing to become a show sponsor, which finally sent the distraught crew on their way.

That weekend.
Sheng Yize did it with An Xiaxia a couple of times the night before and was planning to stay in bed until noon. However, his wife climbed out of bed sleepily when the alarm went off at six o’clock.
With his eyes half-open, Sheng Yize watched as An Xiaxia wriggled out of the blanket butt first. He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at her dumb yet adorable move.
He was really raising a piglet.
An Xiaxia spent over an hour dressing up. After she came back into sight, Sheng Yize narrowed his eyes. “Where are you going?”
“I’m going to see the voice… ah, I’m going shopping with Momo!” An Xiaxia corrected herself immediately.
She was in fact going to a meet-and-greet with her favorite voice actor.
Sheng Yize snickered. “Isn’t it a little too early for that? Shopping malls don’t open until 10.”
An Xiaxia said awkwardly, “Well… we’re having breakfast before that! Honey, I’m off! You stay put!”
Stay put?
Like hell he would!
Face dark, Sheng Yize jumped out of bed and caught up to An Xiaxia in a few strides. He then carried her back inside.
Checking out her lolita-style knee-high dress, Sheng Yize said teasingly, “You’re seducing me.”
An Xiaxia blushed. “Stop it!”
He reached up her skirt and gave her a few squeezes, which brought tears to An Xiaxia’s eyes right away. She knew she would never leave the house if this went on, and had to tell him the truth. “I’m going to Comicon…”
“As in that anime thing?”
“Yes!”
“Go, then. You don’t have to be so secretive about it.” Sheng Yize chuckled and let go of her.
An Xiaxia blinked. “Really? Remember to feed Cola and Pepsi, then. I’m off — Hey!”
She turned around to leave, but Sheng Yize stopped her again. An Xiaxia was frustrated.
Sheng Yize’s lazy, mesmerizing voice came to her ears. “I’m coming with you.”

All was boisterous at Comicon. The cosplayers and audience were filing in.
The corner of Su Xiaomo’s mouth twitched. “What? You brought your husband?”
An Xiaxia said in a defeated voice, “He wouldn’t stay behind…”
“We’ll have much less fun with him around,” Su Xiaomo said in a regretful tone.
Sheng Yize was speechless. Was he an unwelcome guest now?
