“Boss, 4 and a half minutes.”
The battle ended, but Sky Moon was constantly mindful of the time.
“Healers grab all the others. Thieves, stay and finish the battle. Everyone else, retreat! Hachi Chan, you lead the way – never mind, I’ll do it. Sky Moon you stay and take the others to sweep the battlefield. Gather everything over at Hachi Chan, then we’ll distribute it later,” Lu Li instructed, quickly delegating the roles.
To rely on Hachi Chan to lead the way was worse than idling around to wait for other people to surround them.
When creating groups, one could see indicator for their teammates. In this way, Hachi Chan still had a chance to walk over in a straight line, but would lose the indicator if she led. She would most likely lead everyone into the ambush of another team.
Players who had been revived wouldn’t have a tombstone. Only revival via the Hearthstone would result in a tombstone. It would engrave the date that the player had died as well as a sentence or two of a special eulogy.
Those Horde players who had been killed didn’t choose to run for the corpses because they were worried they would continue to be ambushed, so they had been all revived via Hearthstone.
Ever since Honor Hold and Thrallmar had been opened to the public, players could tie their Hearthstone to these two places so that they didn’t need to go back to the former mainlands after death.
“It’s the people of Wings of Dawn!” one player who had been killed and revived declared resolutely after he rushed back.
“An ambush like this is like a complete massacre! How inhumane. Let’s go find where the Wings of Dawn are for revenge,” someone suggested. Naturally, there were people who agreed, so everyone called for their friends to pursue the Wings of Dawn.
As for this group of people from Ruling Sword, Lu Li had asked for Hachi Chan to fly away in the sky act act as eyes for them in case of other people lying in ambush, while he and the other Thieves went to look for new targets.
Lu Li and Cain’s Left Hand were paired as a two-man team. If there weren’t many people, they would just kill them off straight away. Only when there was a larger group would they organise reinforcements for an ambush.
Very quickly, Ruling Sword’s overall number of attacks was on the scale of over thousands of people. A majority of these were ambushes.
“Lu Li, quickly come and help! We’ve been surrounded!”
This was a message sent by Star Baby. They didn’t move along with Ruling Sword. Travelling with too many people held the risk of escalating into a wide-spread battle, so it was better to move apart.
“Where? Send me your location,” Lu Li said hurriedly.
He and Star Baby didn’t have a very deep friendship, but if all was going to plan then his partner would be together with her. Star Baby’s so-called “we” evidently included Water Fairy.
“~*&…”
Star Baby sent the location and also explained the situation.
They were one of the teams of Drizzle Court, along with about a hundred or so girls that enjoyed PVP. Of course, Drizzle Court as a club couldn’t compare with male-dominated clubs in terms of fighting spirit.
At first, they didn’t have any issues.
Then, the Horde players suddenly decided to initiate an event that was codenamed ‘Operation: Beauty Hunt’. This was directed at Water Fairy and her people. They planned on surrounding and teasing them.
Because of the restrictions in the game itself, they couldn’t do anything improper, but this type of behaviour received a lot of response from many other players.
Now, there were already hundreds over there and numbers were still increasing.
What was even more detestable was that the Horde clubs were coordinating with them to block Peerless City and Drizzle Court.
“In fact, Water Sis didn’t want me to say anything. I came to find you in secret,” Star Baby added.
“Just hold on for a bit longer,” Lu Li said. He had understood the situation, and had also started to deploy his own players.
Did he need to think it over?
Of course not! His girl was being ‘beauty-hunted’ by others. Any man couldn’t stand that!
“Drifting, it’s time to make ourselves know. Gather your people.”
Lu Li didn’t gather too many others, even though Ruling Sword and Judgement Spear had about a thousand people who had entered the Outlands. However, amongst them, many were only pure PVE players. To get them to participate in PVP would be unwise because they would be unable to display their true abilities.
Killing people and fighting monsters was different. In virtual reality games, the hardest part was the psychological aspect.
“Sky Moon you keep commanding everyone to continue playing. I’m gonna go rescue my girl,” Lu Li instructed and turned into a crow. He left first and flew towards the area where Water Fairy and her team were stuck.
Lu Li felt rather at ease to leave over a hundred or so people with Sky Moon. On the other hand, he wouldn’t leave people with Azure Sea Breeze even if it killed him.
Lu Li flew to the scene of the incident and participated with the current surrounding crowd of over a thousand people.
He even wandered about the surroundings. The people of Drizzle Court and Peerless City had indeed been intercepted. By looking at the characters of the situation and the people, evidently, they were not ordinary soldiers, but players from the clubs of the Alliance. Even so, they showed no signs of going over to help. Rather, they were chasing the skirmishers near the Horde.
Of course, this didn’t include Blood Red War Flag, who were engaged in a fierce battle with the people of Glory Capital.
Jade Flower Lover was someone who liked to plot, but this didn’t mean that he wasn’t hot-blooded. Otherwise, he couldn’t have established his role as commander. Blood Red War had a lot of retired soldiers and they never feared hard battles. They and their fated enemy, Glory Capital, would always clash in the wilderness.
It was said that in the recent period, Blood Red War Flag had recruited new members based on a changed examination format.
Players had to kill five Glory Capital members to be eligible to join the PVP team in Blood Red War Flag.
“Okay hahaha, please order our offensive attack.”
Drifting Rain was so excited he was shuddering. He and the others had been waiting far too long for this moment and hadn’t an opportunity to appear in front of the public yet.
“Uh… Attack!”
Lu Li was rather awkward and placed down the attack order after being forced to.
The ones who had surrounded Water Fairy were all desperados of the PVP arena. Otherwise, they wouldn’t dare try to surround the owners of Drizzle Court and Peerless City. Even if it were a super-level club, no one would dare to offend a woman.
Since it was teasing, then naturally, they couldn’t just go straight up to them and kill them.
They surrounded the girls, but didn’t kill them. Even so, they still shot arrows at them constantly which made it impossible for them to return to the city. The truly offensive weapon was probably their vile laughter.
Even if Water Fairy had over 100 or so people on her side, they still couldn’t withstand the power of an opposition that was 10 times theirs. Even though they could occasionally kill a few enemies, it was impossible to end them immediately.
Water Fairy was amongst them. She was a Thief, so there wasn’t an issue for her to leave. But how could she leave without her own sisters?
