There were all sorts of emotional displays and exclamations in the world channel, but this was due to a few people taking the lead. Even the President of Blood Red War Flag came out and threw shade at Lu Li.
However, these were minor things. How could Lu Li give all players of the whole Alliance some kind of explanation?
A game was a game. Whoever had the bigger fist got to talk. Ordinary players could only complain at the very most. Did they really have the guts to go and kill the members of Ruling Sword? Regarding the other clubs, they would be naïve if they had similar thoughts. If it was any other club that had received a similar mission, they wouldn’t have notified everyone to all come to Stormwind City and enjoy this amazing buff.
There was fair competition among everyone. Lu Li had just gotten the advantage again with his allies.
Even an idiot would know why Lu Li would complete a mission now – Blackwing’s Nest!
This was the most obvious purpose, not to mention that he had gathered so many people in Stormwind City, so it seemed like he was serious. Those who didn’t get to enjoy the Dragon Slayer’s Roar Status felt depressed. Everyone was already not as proficient as Ruling Sword at First Clearing Instance Dungeons, and now they had an even larger advantage. How were people going to continue playing this game?
Naturally, there were still those who benefited far more than Lu Li and the other three guilds.
After all, Stormwind City was not only the main human city of the Alliance, but it was the most populated city for the whole Alliance. Lu Li chose this time precisely because this was when it had the most amount of people.
Some people felt more or less grateful for Ruling Sword.
Lu Li didn’t care about this – he didn’t care who hated him or who was grateful for him. Public opinion was the most easily played fool.
Let’s go! Blackwing’s Nest!
After a little preparation, Lu Li officially announced the First Clear attempt for Blackwing’s Nest.
Of course, more people were hoping to go to Onxyia’s Nest. At the moment, only Lu Li’s own team had passed this Instance Dungeon.
Now with the Dragon Slayer’s Roar, it would be a lot easier for everyone to fight the Princess of the Black Dragon.
Blackwing’s Nest was like the Molten Core in that it was also a high-level, 40-man Instance Dungeon situated at the top of Black Rock Tower. Blackwing, or Nefarian, was the eldest son of Deathwing and Onxyia’s elder brother. Nefarian’s Gates were situated in the depths of Blackrock Tower’s top level.
Blackwing’s Nest, like the Molten Core, was a 40-man Instance Dungeon – but it was much harder overall. Naturally, that meant that the rewards would make people’s mouths water even more.
If one wanted to enter, then one had to intensely focus on clearing this Instance Dungeon again.
Describing it as a wipe-out was a little overboard, but it was true that the top level of Black Rock Tower was no longer any sort of obstacle to Lu Li’s team.
In the beginning, not everyone entered the Instance Dungeon. March Rain did not get here until everyone else had already arrived at the entrance of the Blackrock Tower Instance Dungeon.
She used this time to craft a few pieces of equipment while everyone else was on the top level. Lu Li had just received these set parts. They could mainly be completed by a Tailor, but the plates belonged in the Blacksmith’s area of expertise. Although Lu Li held the best Forging hammer, he took the route of Forging weapons.
March Rain had brought Lu Li two pieces of equipment.
One piece was the Bloodfang Headcloth. From the outside, it looked like a hat with a facecloth that covered the entire face and had a pair of scarlet eyes. To cut out a hole in this stocking-like head piece did not look classy. This was unusual for Dawn, which was an elegant game.
“Wow! Looks cool!” Azure Sea Breeze commented on Lu Li’s new equipment in admiration.
Unfortunately, his equipment was a clumsy Plate Armor. Even the most lovely woman wouldn’t like his steely style – you would have to have a unique taste to find that attractive.
Lu Li had no clue regarding outer appearances; he cared more about his Equipment’s attributes.
Bloodfang Headcloth (Flawless Epic): Armor+150. Agility+180, Strength+120. Critical Hit +35%. Slot3. Special Effect 1: Blinding Skill Level+1. Special Effect 2: Dark Insight. Instant Cast. Increase Detection after use. There is a greater chance of discovering hidden units within 40 yard range. Lasts 10 seconds. Cooldown 30 minutes. Special Effect 3: Death Stare. Instant. Instils fear in the target after use. Lasts 3 seconds or ends when the target is attacked. Level Requirement: 60, Durability: 400/400.
Lu Li knew March Rain must have used special items to achieve this type of level.
Dawn had something similar to Lucky Stones. Any tools in the Lucky category could be used in the scope of a Trade Skill, mainly to increase the chances of producing high quality equipment or strengthening a equipment’s success rate. This type of thing was hard to come by. Whenever it appeared, it would be bought in seconds, and naturally, the price was ridiculously high.
Lu Li was originally going to give some gold coins as repayment to March Rain, but she refused.
Out of the five pieces of equipment rewarded previously, this pair of brother and sister were given one each by Lu Li.
Another piece of equipment was the Bracer that Lu Li had just received. As soon as he received it, he gave it to March Rain to work on. It was still hot from just coming out of the oven.
Bloodfang Bracer (Fine Legendary): Armor 100. Agility+120, Constitution+80. Hit+35%. Slot 2. Special Effect 1: Slit Throat Skill Level+1. Special Effect 2: Escape. Teleport to a location within 15 yards of sight. Cooldown 2 minutes. Cooldown is not shared with similar skills. Special Effect 3: After successfully killing all active units, this item will gain 20% Attack for 10 seconds. Can be accumulated. Level Requirement: 60, Durability: 400/400.
This Bracer was not as powerful as the hat.
Even though 80 or so Constitution could add a lot of HP, Lu Li preferred the additional damage that was given by Strength.
Then, there was the effect of increased Critical Strike damage after hitting the target, which was reasonable.
However, the following few effects could not benefit him. Slit Throat was a very powerful skill, but it required movement assistance. Bosses usually had a rather large body, so it was impossible to reach their throat. Escape was a good effect, but it was very situationally specific. As for Special Effect 3, Lu Li still did not have a skill for damage over time.
However, this was not to say that the Bloodfang Bracer was rubbish – it depended on how it was used.
If it was used to PVP or fight small monsters, then it would be the same as an Assassin set piece.
As such, Lu Li still brought the Bloodfang Bracer with him. After all, it was still part of a set, and it would come in handy for killing small monsters.
The Gem slot was empty, so it needed to be filled. If all five slots were filled, then it would be considerably Enhanced. It was very quick to add Gems, and Lu Li Strengthened it twice along the way. Both pieces of equipment were successful in one go.
After Lu Li finished this, he chose the difficulty of the Instance Dungeon.
He chose the Nightmare Difficulty without a moment’s hesitation. After entering the Instance Dungeon, everyone found that this was different from a usual one.
Firstly, there wasn’t a guard at the door – the grand Prince of the Black Dragon Lair couldn’t possibly be without a guard.
The Dwarf architect master, Franklin Cast Iron, designed this Stronghold. Iron Dwarves occupied this place for centuries. Then, Ragnaros the Firelord became the owner. People did not know what why the village was so attractive. Not just Ragnaros, but even the Black Dragon had developed an interest.
The son of Deathwing, Nefarian, and his Black Dragon corps occupied the top areas of Blackrock Tower. He continued to clash with the Iron Dwarves of Ragnaros the Firelord in the Blackrock Abyss.
Ragnaros found the method of giving life to Stone, and prepared to produce an invincible Rattlegore army to aid his plans to conquer the whole of Blackrock Mountain.
In order to respond to an ever-powerful enemy, Nefarian experimented with all sorts of blood magic from the Dragon clan. In the end, he produced an invincible Colourful Dragon army. With the help of his sister, Onxyia, they produced more Colorful Dragon people, and finally took over their father completely in controlling the entire Black Dragon army.
Nefarian swore to destroy Ragnaros, but Lu Li did not know for what reason.
These stories were not considered secrets, and there was no value in making use of them. Fundamentally, it was still a competition about overall strength.
However, as a person reborn, Lu Li did not have any advantage.
At the very least, Blackwing’s Nest was a classic Dungeon that required skilful technique. Lu Li more or less indicated that he had experience dealing with the number one Boss that was called “Razorgore the Untamed”, who was in charge of guarding the Dragon Egg.
Guarding the Dragon Egg was a full-time job. Poor Razorgore did not have much time to do any other important things, for example, enjoy his own time, or socialise and behave like a normal dragon. He fundamentally had a bad temper, and being assigned to this role made his mood even worse.
If not for the fact that Nefarian could not be defied in his mind, and all his actions were controlled, he would have smashed those eggs to bits.
Nefarian knew how to use people. He got Razorgore to guard the Dragon Eggs not because he was the best suited, but because he was an anomaly among the Black Dragon people. He was born wild and impatient – his body had an abnormal heat source that could act as a heater for the incubator.
In order to prevent Razorgore from damaging the Dragon Eggs, Nefarian created a control platform, as well as sending a Blackwing Controller and two Blackwing Guards to monitor and control him.
Lu Li had a degree of knowledge on Razorgore. He sent a Thief to try and attack the Dragon Egg. The System notified that the attack was ineffective.
They then patiently made some other attempts.
“We can’t attack these Dragon Eggs, but obviously, we don’t have any other way if we don’t attack it. If they hatch at the same time, then we will definitely be destroyed,” Lu Li said as he pointed at these few hundred Dragon Eggs, then continued, “This type of game design wants us to destroy these eggs within a limited amount of time. So now, we have an idea of what to dom but how should we resolve the Dragon Egg problem?”
“Boss, are you testing us? We just need to kill the Blackwing Controllers. Then we control the Boss to go kill the Dragon Eggs, right?” Sky Moon casually answered Lu Li’s question.
“Yeah I think so too,” Lu Li agreed with Sky Moon. It was much easier to get things done with a teammate like him.
Now, it was a 40-man team. The more people, the more trouble there was and the harder it was to lead. Lu Li was afraid of being too reckless, so he needed these smart people around precisely at these moments to lend him their ideas. Sky Moon was a person with a natural gift in in commanding, even though his commanding at the moment was still a little rough. However, his mind was sharp, and his thoughts ran wild. This was exactly why Lu Li always liked bringing him along to Instance Dungeons.
“Let’s begin then. Breezy, Charge. Once we get over there, let’s first kill the Controllers. Once the Controllers are dead, Breezy, immediately use that to control the gems, then kill off the rest of those two Guards,” Lu Li said, fluidly formulating a plan.
“Follow up guys, Epic equipment is straight ahead!” Azure Sea Breeze roared, then Charged forward.
The Blackwing Controller was an elderly Orc Controller. After Blackhand and Nefarian cooperated, many Orcs appeared in Nefarian’s power. They pretty much had nothing to do with Blackhand. The prefixes of their names were all tied with Blackwing. From this fact alone, you could see that Blackhand and Nefarian’s cooperation was impossible.
If one day, you opened the door and saw a group of burly fellows surrounding you, what would you do?
This old Orc, the Blackwing Controller, faced exactly this dilemma. This old guy had no intention to submit to this adversity, but instead gave an angry roar and retaliated.
This Orc Controller had four skills – Slow, Arcane Missiles, Mind Control and Powerful Deformation. The first two skills were relatively easy to understand. The third skill allowed him to control a player to serve him, while the fourth was a legendary Enhanced skill that changed appearances.
In fact, monsters had Enhanced skills as well. Many Thief type monsters had undergone Enhanced Stealth.
With 40 people coming right at you, who were you going to reduce the speed of? Who would the Arcane Missiles hit? Who could you control? Who could you transform into? All in all, the Blackwing Controller was probably in a state of mental breakdown. His retaliation looked hilarious, especially when everyone was aiming at him.
He persisted for 10 seconds or so and then he was gone.
This short amount of time was not enough for Razorgore to run from his platform, while the Blackwing Controllers’ other two followers were being distracted by the other Main Tank.
After dealing with the Blackwing Controllers, Azure Sea Breeze controlled the gems immediately. He found that he had acquired the perspective of the Boss, and could use all its skills – one of which was to damage the Dragon Eggs. It felt as though everything was in everyone’s control.
“It seems like we have nothing else to do. Do we just watch the Boss destroy Dragon Eggs?” Her Tears asked after killing two Guards.
“No way,” Sky Moon refuted immediately. “The game company could not have this type of design. From a design perspective, there must be something else that will pop out and ruin our plans.”
Just as he said this, everyone could see new monsters spilling out from various corners of the lobby.
