“Keep it. It’s extremely rare to come by. Onyxia’s not that generous. This might not even drop after another 1000 runs.”
Lu Li wouldn’t trick his own family. If it was an item that would be a little wasteful on Remnant Dream, he would do something about it, but this was a mount. The usage would naturally be much more limited. His own Crow transformation was much more convenient.
“Hachi, I also have a dragon now!” Remnant Dream was delighted.
“Sell it to me. I’ll buy it for 5000 gold,” Haze, a player from Peerless city, offered. Mounts were always mainly for aesthetic purposes. Since this mount was from Onyxia, its size wouldn’t matter and it would still attract a lot of attention.
“No way!” Remnant Dream rejected him without hesitation. She might be a little dull, but after dealing with exquisite items and tools for such a long time, she was quite familiar with the market prices. If the drop rate was really as low as Lu Li had described, it still wouldn’t only be 5000 gold. Even 50000 gold was a price that would attract rich buyers.
“Alright. Dreamy, start looting,” Lu Li said. He was annoyed – trying to trick a little girl in front of him? What a dog.
“60 Enhancing stones. 7 gems….” Remnant Dream reported.
Haze couldn’t help himself and blurted out as he watched Lu Li store them all away.
“Wait a minute, shouldn’t this be split between the three guilds?”
His tone did not sound pleased. After all, he had been instantly shut down in his request to buy the mount. Furthermore, Lu Li, as the commander of the squad, didn’t even say anything about the matter.
He knew that 5000 gold was a little short, but wasn’t negotiation part of doing business?
“Who told you that it was split three-ways?” Lu Li was speechless.
“You’re Haze right? Don’t say anything anymore, or go and check with Soul Eater, then come back.” Right before Haze could keep speaking, Water Fairy interrupted him. This guy had to be joking.
Soul Eater asked Lu Li if he could bring along some people to practice fighting this Instance Dungeon. Then, Lu Li asked him for two Hunters.
Not even Drizzle Court received a share in the loot, so in what world would Peerless City get something?
Recently, Peerless City had gone through a major expansion, so there were many new players. Lowering the requirements meant that the quality of the players had decreased.
“Seven Fusion stones, and five of them are fairly average. These can just be distributed.”
Because of Lu Li’s relationship with Soul Eater, he decided to give one to Peerless City. However, this was given to Vegetarian Mosquito instead. He was the other player that had tagged along from Peerless City.
Although Vegetarian Mosquito was a professional player, he wasn’t in a position where he could criticise Haze.
Haze only joined after the last Shadow Cup, so he had only been in Peerless City for a few months. However, he was the leader of the Hunter department and was responsible for all the Hunters in the guild. He had quite a bit of influence and his skills were not bad.
He could only remain in silence. Lu Li gave him the stone because of his quietness.
It was definitely not to antagonise Haze.
Then, there were three skill books. One was an Enhancing skill for Healing-specialised Paladins, so Lu Li immediately gave it to Mu Qiu.
Of course, the deduction of guild points was not forgotten. Although he wasn’t as capable at healing as Darkness, he was still a professional player, so he had to be given some sort of special treatment. Darkness didn’t object to the decision, since she was often looked after in the squad. It could be said that she was the number one healing Paladin in the squad.
The other two books were normal skill books. One was for Warriors, and the other was for Warlocks. Whoever needed them would receive them.
There were four rare materials in total and Lu Li took all of them. Once again, Haze quietly expressed his annoyance. However, with the lesson that he had learned from before, he didn’t dare to say anything about it. After all, even if these were given to him, he wouldn’t be able to make use of them.
Next, were six Dark Gold items that were all level 60. The stats were quite decent, and all in all, there weren’t any rubbish items.
Then, it was time for the Epic items. This was the main event.
Eskhandar’s Collar!
This was an Epic necklace for Main Tanks and was extremely valuable. Of course, this was given to Azure Sea Breeze.
There were many level 60 Instance Dungeons, with the next one being Blackwing’s Lair. Naturally, the Main Tank was given the highest priority. Lu Li deducted 100 guild points from him for it, which was a fair price, so one said anything about it.
Dragonrider’s Helmet!
This was an item in the T2 set for Hunters, so it instantly attracted the attention of all five Hunters who were present.
“Let’s bid for it,” Lu Li said.
“Wait, why is it that some items don’t need guild points, but other items do? If that necklace was put in the auction, it would probably cost around 500 points wouldn’t it?” Haze interjected, stopping others from bidding first, then awkwardly asked while smiling, “How about giving this one to Peerless City? You can’t let us leave without anything, can you?”
“You can bid for it too,” Lu Li gently said.
“Are you joking? You only gave us 80 points at the start. Then, you took away my points twice. I don’t even have 100 points! I can’t bid for crap with 100 points.” Haze was visibly angry.
“You’re blaming me for taking away your points?” Lu Li was absolutely speechless.
“Remnant Dream took the most precious mount, then Bearded Zaza took an Epic item. Even the Hunter from Drizzle Court got a Skill Point. As for me, I only got a Dark Gold item. Is that fair to you?” Haze was clearly not going down without a fight for being blamed; he had gotten his points deducted twice. However, Lu Li had already made things easy on him. Otherwise, they would have been more than twice.
“What do you want?” Lu Li asked.
“Give me this item. Then, I won’t ask for other Hunter items anymore,” Haze said, as if he was someone who was being neglected.
Before Lu Li spoke, Water Fairy couldn’t stand it and interrupted, “Lu Li, just continue with the auction. If you don’t think it’s fair, then you can leave. Or, just kick him. I’ll talk to Soul Eater about it.”
Lu Li couldn’t be bothered kicking him from the party and continued with the auction.
Haze left the party himself, expressing his discontent while doing so. As for how he would talk to Soul Eater about the situation, no one knew what would happen.
At last, Remnant Dream gained the item. She had quite a lot of points.
Netherwind Crown!
This was a T2 Mage item and was bought by Lonesome Flower. However, it would probably be given to Short Road first, since he would be participating in the Donghua Cup shortly after.
Short Road wasn’t officially a professional player yet, so it would be unfair if this item was given to him straight away.
Deathbringer!
This was an Epic weapon with decent Attributes, but it was a one-handed axe.
Because it was a one-handed axe, Moonlight wouldn’t want it. He was used to wielding a two-handed axe. Paladins also didn’t have a use for it, since they were all proficient sword users. This item would be quite good on Azure Sea Breeze, but he was already completely focused on making himself a Quel’Serrar.
Quel’Serrar was the strongest Defense-based Warrior and Paladin weapon.
It was a Legendary grade with powerful aggro capabilities and respectable damage. Furthermore, aesthetically speaking, it was extremely attention-grabbing. Azure Sea Breeze had been eyeing Quel’Serrar for a long time.
World’s Best Friend was also planning on making himself a Quel’Serrar, so he didn’t want the Deathbringer either.
“Hunters and Buffing Shamans, you guys can bid for it.”
Lu Li couldn’t do anything about it. It was quite an exquisite item, yet no one wanted it.
The Hunter that Water Fairy brought along ended up with the item. It only cost 50 points. Everyone realised that there was quite an interesting ending to this raid. Haze originally thought that he couldn’t buy anything with 100 points, but what was weird was that Vegetarian Mosquito didn’t bid for it. His silence was a little too much.
