When they arrived beside the elevators, as they couldn’t fit in the same elevator, they separated into two groups, each taking one.
After they arrived at the reception, a team of FBI agents was standing there, talking to the reception, saying they needed to talk to the chairman or the CEO, but the receptionist was unmoved as he said they can only wait for the related department to come unless they have a warrant.
Seeing a group of people with suit coming their way, the FBI’s attention was drawn to the group.
The Legal ugly came straight in front of the team of FBI, he reached his right hand out while saying “Hello, I’m Robert James, the head of Legal Department at Virus Industries. How can I help you?”
Listening to his words, the FBI knew they were not going to meet the chairman or the CEO, so the person who was in the lead said rudely without introducing herself first, “Hello, we’re here to meet the Chairman or the CEO of the company, not you!” It was obvious she was very much annoyed that no one was listening to her in this thief company.
This woman was a top-notch beauty, she had a light bronze skin, long eyelashes, a medium-sized nose, with blue eyes and naturally filled lips which made her quite the beauty.
Without paying any attention to her beauty, the Legal ugly said “You can’t meet the Chairman or the CEO unless you have a warrant, which makes me wonder, do you have a warrant miss?”
Listening to his voice which seemed to be empty of any emotions, she was offended inside immediately, because men always used to try to gain her favor in different ways everywhere she went or at least tried to act cool or ignore her or thousands of other ways for her attention, but as she was a good FBI agent, she could always see it in their eyes that the other person had an interest in her, but knowing their intention was not pure, she ignored them, but still, it made her happy that other people saw her as a beauty.
But this person was just annoying, he seemed to lack any kind of emotion, she could feel there was nothing in his eyes while he was looking at her, it was a blank stare, like a person who was looking at the wall with no thought whatsoever, she was getting this feeling which made her greatly annoyed.
“I said do you have a warrant, miss?” Seeing there was no response the Legal ugly asked again, still as dull as before.
“No, I don’t. But we’re the FBI and…” She finally answered.
As she started talking the Legal ugly interrupted her by saying, “Oh please miss, let’s cut the crap, we are all lawyers here and we all know our rights. You coming to our door without any kind of evidence to accuse us of something would just make us able to sue you for libel you know that right?”
Listening to him talk the police beauty started gritting her teeth, but she didn’t say anything because he was right, they had come today just to see their reaction as they were ordered from the higher-ups to see if they would cooperate.
‘It seems they won’t cooperate…’ As she was thinking this, her thoughts were interrupted by that emotionless ugly man.
“… But as our Chairman is a really good man, even though he won’t be able to come for interrogation as he’s a really busy person, he told us to cooperate with the police and go with you for interrogation… so let’s go ” The Legal ugly said.
Listening to him made the FBI beauty surprised because she hadn’t expected for them to cooperate.
And just like that, they went to the FBI station with fifteen disciplined lawyers.
After they arrived at the FBI station, they went inside a room probably used for interrogation.
Right now inside the room, the FBI beauty and the Legal ugly were each sitting on one side of the table, while behind the Legal ugly three rows of lawyers, each row consisting of five lawyers, were standing without moving in a very disciplined manner, they were famous lawyers that lots of FBI agents at the station recognized.
That beautiful FBI wanted to start the interrogation as she said “Okay Mr. James, so let’s start with this, was it the Virus Company that…”
She was just starting the interrogation with the first question when she was interrupted again by that ugly man, making her furious inside.
“Miss, I think you’re misunderstanding something, we can leave whenever we want to and we’re here just because of our Chairman’s kindness in trying to bring justice to light, so I will do the talking while you listen.” The Legal ugly said with the same blank expression he always wore.
“First let me start by saying that we, and by ‘we’ I mean the Virus Company, were not behind the ‘Ghost Theft’ case and neither have we stolen any kind of technology from anywhere, all of our technologies come from ourselves and decades of research.” The Legal ugly said.
“Now talking more than this would be a complete waste of time unless you have evidence, which obviously you don’t.” The Legal ugly said.
At this point the FBI beauty almost felt like exploding, pressing her lips firmly together while thinking ‘first they come here by their own feet, saying they agree to the interrogation out of good will, then after coming here, this ugly bastard doesn’t allow me to ask a single question and rejects everything straightforwardly, then what the heck did you come here for!!! You could’ve just told me this there!’
As she was almost on the verge of exploding, as she was clenching her jaw, the Legal ugly talked again with that blank stare of his, “But worry not, miss, as we have not come here just to announce this and waste a ton of our time.”
“Then what exactly have you come here for?!” The FBI beauty said frustrated while glaring at the Legal beauty with fire burning in her eyes.
Honestly, even though there was a serious atmosphere about her right now, but that seriousness and frustration oddly made her seem even more beautiful, the fifteen lawyers behind the Legal ugly couldn’t stop themselves from thinking ‘So… beautiful… .’
