Fang Lin continued rushing away from the danger zone as he consoled the scared Rou’er and Xu’er.
Both of them were shivering slightly as they also felt the danger at that area. Their eyes were teary as they gave Fang Lin a look of gratitude. But this look changed into irritation as both of them glared at Fang Lin while pouting at him. Fang Lin smiled wryly, clearly aware of the reason they were angry.
“Fang Xiushang! You almost died there earlier! Why did you not dodge? Instead you tried to reason out with that invader!” Rou’er grumbled. “I know that you are strong, but what you did earlier almost borders on stupidity.”
Fang Lin just sheepishly replied, “I actually have a good plan that I was about to execute earlier…”
“Then do tell that plan to us.” Xu’er quickly replied.
“…” Fang Lin shook his head, as he tried to make himself look mysterious. “Matters like this must only be touched by those who were enlightened like me.”
“Enlightened my ass! You are just making that s**t up!” Rou’er sneered in reply. “But because you are the father of our child, I will forgive you for this time Fang Xiushang.”
Fang Lin sighed in relief and was about to sit when he heard another query from Rou’er.
“Now that we were done about that, its time for the next question.”
“You still have more questions?”
“Of course we do.” Rou’er and Xu’er then gave Xue’er an appraising look. Their eyes roved all over her pale white skin, her long white hair and her angelic face. Their gazes though were almost concentrated on her fluffy tails that were swishing behind her.
Rou’er and Xu’er gave Fang Lin a smile that was also not a smile as they asked him,
“Care to introduce us to your WIFEY?”
“……..”
………..
Wang Hao looked pensively at the tremors emanating from the rebel leader’s hideout. With him being the leader of the invasion, the control of the Underworld Suppressing Formation was passed to him. With that, he already knew all the effects and short-comings of the formation.
One weakness of the formation was that it cannot affect those who were in the middle of the breakthrough. The reason for that was because people at that state will have their practitioner stage in limbo, where they seem to have not stage at all. That was to be expected, since they were at the midst of changing their stages.
This state of limbo will make the formation ignore them since they have no stage that can be suppressed. This was the reason why the rebel leader, Nathalia was not affected by the suppression.
Another problem that arises from these breakthroughs was that once the practitioner successfully steps on the next stage, the formation will be extremely confused with the sudden appearance of a higher stage on its domain where no higher stage should exist.
This confusion prompts the formation to change into extermination mode, which makes it an attacking formation. In the extermination mode, the formation will wantonly attack everything inside its domain. This killing move was extremely effective, with about 99.99% effectivity.
But the extermination mode of the formation should only be used as a trump card. It was because the formation will lose its suppressing abilities for a day after using the extermination mode. A day was enough for a planet to recover the areas affected by the formation.
Aside from that, even the Underworld Soldiers inside the formation will be attacked during the extermination mode. Their lives were much more important compared to the lives of the worlds they invade. As such, the extermination mode was only used if it’s absolutely necessary.
Of course the formation masters of the Underworld tried to resolve this but to their dismay, none of the remedies that they used had any effect. It was as if the universe itself dictated that the Underworld Suppressing Formation will have no chance to affect the breakthrough of any practitioeners.
In Wang Hao’s case, the extermination mode being activated right now means a big trouble for him. After all, he wanted to conquer the Solstice Kingdom with at the very best, no casualties. The extermination mode being activated means many people will die needlessly.
As for the vibrations everyone felt earlier, it was Nathalia’s instinctive reaction to the triggering of the extermination mode. She felt that she will die if she does not do anything to resist it.
As for her words of surprise, the reason for that was the current condition of the Underworld that she saw with her divine sense. Nathalia saw the weird portal in the castle, the fleeing people, the strange formations covering the whole Kingdom and the creepy armored men roaming the Kingdom.
It was no wonder she shouted in surprise after seeing these changes.
Wang Hao knew that with his control of the Underworld Suppressing Formation, he can easily stop it from achieving the extermination form, wherever he is. That means he can deactivate the extermination mode even if he was not at the formation itself. The only reason he stayed in the courtyard was because he wanted to make himself look cool in front of Fang Lin. After all, a master must always look cool in front of his disciples.
He smiled and was about to activate his connection when he felt something approaching their area quickly. His eyes widened when he realized where this incoming object came from.
Instead of looking on his cardinal directions, Wang Hao looked up, and there, he saw something at the outer space. He used his energy manipulation abilities to hit that object with small streams of light that reflected back to his eyes. With that technique, he was able to see the ship’s appearance even with the large distance between them.
That ‘something’ was a large space ship. Not a spirit ship, but a space ship. It was placed precariously just at the spot before the planet’s atmosphere.
Looking up from below, Wang Hao saw that this space ship’s length was comparable to that of the Solstice Kingdom. Its body was studded with high-class weapons, ranging from small artillery launchers to large plasma cannons. Its body was made from countless rare metals that were seamlessly welded together.
Jets of dark energy pulsed out from its boosters, which helped the space ship to stabilize its position. Wang Hao also felt electricity crackling around it, forming a seemingly impenetrable defensive barrier.
Its appearance and aura indicates that this space ship was meant for combat.
Wang Hao knew from looking at its parts that this space ship was made from technology. That means this ship will not work once it was inside Planet Thrae’s area. That must be the reason why this space ship did not enter the planet’s atmosphere.
Wang Hao immediately had a bad feeling when this space ship arrived. This feeling of his intensified when he saw with his enhanced vision that all the plasma cannons of the ship were lighting up.
The plasma cannons started to glow red as violet orbs of light appeared at their tips.
These violet orbs grew bigger and bigger until they were around 1 kilometer in diameter! Even here on the ground, Wang Hao could feel the powerful energy fluctuations emanating from the plasma cannons.
What made him frown was the fact that all the plasma cannons were pointing at the Solstice Kingdom!
Wang Hao gritted his teeth as he realized these newcomers were targeting either the Solstice Kingdom or the Underworld Army! This was bad news to him, since both the Solstice Kingdom and the Underworld Army were important for his plans.
With his factual memories not sealed, Wang Hao was able to recognize what kind of people could do things like this. He stared at the space ship he angrily muttered,
“What the f**k are Spacefarers doing here?”
