“I’m actually calling you about that matter as well.” Nalan Chunbo looked down at the little girl who was still sobbing in his arms and patted her shoulder gently.
“Do you want me to delete it now? Otherwise, she might be getting some serious backlash later,” Jack asked, feeling a little helpless.
“It’s difficult.” Nalan Chunbo exhaled wearily. “Don’t take it down for the time being. I’m sure she didn’t plagiarize the paper. It was the professor who copied hers.” Nalan Chunbo felt Wen Shan’s body relax a little.
“Okay, since you said that, but her thesis was originally—”
“Jack.” Nalan Chunbo interrupted him, then glanced at Wen Shan who was still sobbing. He put the person on the sofa before continuing speaking to Jack at the balcony.

“By the way, Nalan, we have known each other for almost two decades but I have never seen you care so much about a woman. Coco has had feelings for you for more than ten years, but you never went for her,” Jack said good-naturedly.

Nalan Chunbo frowned. That woman was coming to China?
“If you didn’t sound so happy right now, I would really believe you that you were genuinely doing this out of kindness,” Nalan Chunbo said dryly. He told Jack that he needed to hold the decision of taking down the thesis for at least two weeks. He could solve this matter within that time.
For the sake of the parallel universe script, Jack readily agreed to his request.
