“Seriously?” Yao Zhiyan, who had thought everything was under control, stopped smiling. He took a closer look and found the situation was worse than he had thought. Not only was Xie Yu sent flying, but he could not go on fighting anymore. He was severely injured. He would have fallen to the ground if that member of the Pegasus Society had not caught him.
Finishing this sword attack, Jiang Chen looked delighted. It was his first time exerting the third movement of Universal Wind and Thunder. It gave him a sense of accomplishment. He vaguely felt his sword doctrine had entered a brand-new stage. When Jiang Chen had come to himself, he was going to get rid of Xie Yu.
At this moment, Xie Yu’s companion started to flee with him.
“Useless thing!” Yao Zhiyan was annoyed. He threw a punch over before Jiang Chen could do anything. The heavy punch was carrying a fierce flame. It not only killed Xie Yu and his companion, but also killed Xie Wanting.
“Alien Flame?” Jiang Chen was kind of surprised, not because Yao Zhiyan had Alien Flame, but because he could not recognize what Alien Flame it was.
“Yao Zhiyan, let’s have this fight, but he can leave,” Wan Renlong felt this was over. He said, “If I cannot get something, no one can get it!” Yao Zhiyan was ferocious after killing. He threw Jiang Chen a gloomy glance. The same terrifying Alien Flame started to burn between his fingers again.
“Do you honestly think I’m kidding with you?!” Wan Renlong acted too. He unsheathed his sword. The sword energy soared into the air. The sword radiance was like a stormy sea.
“Mind your own business!” Yao Zhiyan punched over backhand. The fierce Alien Flame swept over.
Wan Renlong twisted his wrist. The blade created a ripple to eliminate the whole Alien Flame. “Why do you think I was staying in the castle?”
Yao Zhiyan did not stop. He was making a mudra, with both hands rapidly moving. The power of the Alien Flame was changing drastically as his hands moved.
Jiang Chen knew this attack would be tricky since he knew fire pretty well.
“Heavenly Fire Mudra?!”
Wan Renlong was shocked. The words rolled off his tongue, “No wonder I hadn’t seen you for such a long time!”
Then he glanced at Jiang Chen, who was standing not far away. He said to him, “Why are you still here? What are you waiting for?”
“He has lost his chance to leave.” Jiang Chen did not speak. He felt an overwhelming pressure tumbling over, squeezing the air. Yao Zhiyan and Wan Renlong turned pale. They stopped in tacit agreement and looked toward the castle seriously, as if they were waiting for a great enemy. A man sitting on a throne carved in jade flew over. Even though he was sitting, it was not hard to see he was a large man. He was at least eight feet tall. His arms were long. His legs were long. Even his face was narrow and long.
“Tian Weiyi.”
Gazing at him, Wan Renlong felt frustrated.
“Now even if you want to go, you won’t be able to go,” he told Jiang Chen helplessly.
Jiang Chen sized the male Divine Recluse up. He found in surprise that the latter’s eyes were dark blue.
“He is almost as strong as a Martial Arts Saint, nearly the same as that Human Emperor, and much more powerful than this Half-Monster.” Since the Divine Recluse Race did not adopt the Human Race’s state system, Jiang Chen had to analyze the enemy’s level by himself.
All of sudden, Tian Weiyi launched an attack. However, his target was Yao Zhiyan. Yao Zhiyan was totally taken by surprise. The Alien Flame gushed out of every part of his body. Crossing his arms on the chest, he was trying to focus on defense. Even so, when Tian Weiyi’s attack came, he was still sent flying. The Alien Flame on him was extinguished too.
“Tian Weiyi! What is this?!” Yao Zhiyan’s energy was tumbling. He called the Alien Flame out once again as he posed the question. There was a gap between the two’s strengths, but it did not mean the stronger one could knock the weaker one down immediately. Tian Weiyi extended his right hand. His wide palm caught a ball as big as a child’s fist. It was exactly this ball that had sent Yao Zhiyan flying.
“You are coveting my prey,” Tian Weiyi said.
“And he is helping your prey!” Yao Zhiyan intended to involve Wan Renlong as well.
“Then he’ll get a chance to beg for my forgiveness.” Tian Weiyi got to his feet. A rainbow appeared under his feet to pave a road on which he could walk.
“Now, kneel down and admit your mistake,” he said to Wan Renlong.
“You wish.” Wan Renlong certainly would not do that. Showing a fierce look to Jiang Chen, he said, “I’m leaving if you’re not leaving!” He did not want to see Jiang Chen do anything silly and involve him.
While he was speaking, Tian Weiyi suddenly launched another attack. It was the same ball. It flew over as fast as a shooting star.
When Wan Renlong wanted to brandish his sword to ward it off, the ball split in two and then these two balls split in four. Soon, there were more than 100 balls. Wan Renlong realized he would suffer more than Yao Zhiyan did.
However, he suddenly heard a sharp whoosh. Then a figure showed up in front of him.
“What are you doing?!” Wan Renlong shouted out of anxiety when he saw it was Jiang Chen.
No one could ward off Tian Weiyi’s balls.
“Back!”
Jiang Chen opened his arms forward. The bronze cauldron started to grow. It grew into a shield in the end.The balls hit against it. There came a series of muffled noises which sounded like rat-a-tat. Then they were all bounced back, with more power than that of the original attack of Tian Weiyi.
“What?” Both Yao Zhiyan and Wan Renlong were given a scare. Tian Weiyi raised his eyebrow. He waved his big hand and took all of the balls back.
“So, you have some secret weapon. No wonder you had the nerve to attack the Divine Recluse Race. However, the power you average people borrow isn’t your power after all.” Tian Weiyi did not give up. He strode over. Ripples would appear when he stepped on the rainbow-like surface. After every step he took, more balls would fly out of his hands. Soon the balls were raining down like cats and dogs.
There continued to be a series of muffled sounds from the bronze cauldron. The balls kept being bounced back. The balls bounced back, but could not hurt Tian Weiyi. They entered his body, as if falling into the water, but the water did not splatter at all.
“If you can conquer everything with external force, there is no need to have adventures at all.” Yao Zhiyan was gloating.
Wan Renlong was hesitating whether to leave. If the bronze cauldron was the only thing they had, it was far less than enough to resist Tian Weiyi.
Tian Weiyi and Jiang Chen were getting closer and closer. The balls were thrown with more and more effort. When they had been only six miles apart, Jiang Chen took the bronze cauldron back.
He was emitting golden lights, as if wearing a golden armor. The balls were all smashed into pieces. The Azure Demon appeared on his left and the black dragon appeared on his right. They were protecting Jiang Chen.
“Great Vacuum Mudra!”
Jiang Chen went all out. At the same time, he put all of the theories of the eight groups of spiritual beings he knew into use. He threw a palm over. Tian Weiyi, walking toward him head-on, was sent flying. The throne behind him was destroyed.
Yao Zhiyan and Wan Renlong stared at Tian Weiyi. They found the latter had blood at the corner of his lips.
“He is dreadful.”
“He has achieved a thing that almost no Star Venerable has ever achieved!”
Yao Zhiyan and Wan Renlong started to look at Jiang Chen with new eyes, especially the latter. Think about it, if Jiang Chen were a Martial Emperor, what would this palm attack have been like?
“You provoked the gods to anger. You must die.” When Tian Weiyi had realized this, he was not going to allow Jiang Chen to live until the next day.
