Yao Tang threw Anna onto the ground and chased after him.
“It’s not what you think!”
He waved his hands up in the air just when she was moving closer. He tried to explain, but it was useless. She was already tying their wrists together before wiping her hands on the back of her pants.
“Are you a member of the Yao Family?” Anna widened her eyes. “We’re just…We’re just testing you right now. You were pretending to be a weak little girl, right? Well done!”
“You talk too much.” She blinked.
Her shocked expression flickered, and Anna quickly said, “Miss, please, just tell us what you want. Whatever you want, we’ll do it! Just…please don’t kill us.”
“I’d prefer the instrument you have much more,” Yao Tang said snidely.
“It’s in your backpack, right?”
As she said that, Yao Tang picked up a bunch of parts from their bag before piecing them together at the speed of light.
Before them was a small device.
John was stunned. “Oh my god!” He gaped. “How have you been able to piece all that together? It’s…that’s impossible!”
Anna was also in a state of shock.
That device was the newest product that they’ve developed. Nobody knew how to use it, as there was no information that had been given regarding the device. How could she have possibly known this?
As for how she had pieced it together…
It’s as if she had done it before.
Even Anna, who had just learned about it a few days before they had set off, could barely put it together that quickly.
Could it be that someone had betrayed them?
Had someone leaked the blueprint?
“Don’t you have the brains to put it together?” Yao Tang furrowed her eyebrows.

John paled.

This invention had taken them five years to create and develop. He gritted his teeth.

“Please take us in.” His body shook as he knelt on the ground. “Please.”
Anna followed suit. “Your intelligence…it’s amazing,” she said honestly. “Please, let me serve you.”
He inched toward her.
“The purpose of this operation was to traverse to Fengyue Peak and seize the treasure before the others will find it. However, we had accidentally traversed to Lingyun Peakinstead.”
“When we arrived, our machine detected an unusual energy so we decided to stay behind and see if we make any new discoveries.”
Anna nodded rapidly. “That’s when we noticed the fluctuation of energy around there.”
Yao Tang slowly nodded.
The crater was located right in Fengyue Peak, yet Lingyun Peak was also suffering from strong energy fluctuations.
