Yao Tang gazed at the screen. When half an hour had passed, she couldn’t help but feel a little bit bored.
However, she couldn’t help but catch a whiff of a sweet and fruity scent. She glanced beside her, only to see a slice of fresh cake.
A fork appeared on her side.
She raised her eyebrows and glanced at the man beside her.
“It’s blueberry cake,” he said simply. “Try it.”
“Thank you.”
She took a bite of the blueberry cheesecake, and she could feel the cake crumbling on her tongue. The burst of flavor made her lips twitch. “It’s all right.”
Cheng Yan took out another cup from behind him and handed it over to her. “Try this milk tea too. It’s a new product that we’ve developed. See if it’ll be good for the market.”
“Okay.” Yao Tang reached out her other hand and inserted a straw into the opening. Taking a small sip, she nodded. “It tastes pretty good too.”
The milk tea tasted amazing! It wasn’t too sweet like the other brands she had tasted. In fact, it was the perfect blend with an equally good fragrance to top it off.
It was definitely a part of her top ten.
“It’s good that you like it. Do you want some popcorn to go with that?” Cheng Yan grabbed the bucket of popcorn from the side and handed it to her. However, a thought occurred to him, and he immediately pulled the bag back. “Right, you don’t have any hands now.”
He smiled sheepishly, and instead grabbed a piece of popcorn.
He was just about to feed her when Yao Tang subconsciously leaned back.
He pretended not to see it and instead brought the popcorn forward.
She was just about to refuse when the aroma of cream and caramel hit her. Her stomach rumbled, and she couldn’t help but want to taste it.
Her eyes flickered to the side and she opened her mouth, taking the popcorn he had been holding in front of her.
In an instant, the crispy surface burst in her mouth, and she was immediately overwhelmed with the sweet and salty mix. It was really good too.
Seeing how much she liked the popcorn, Cheng Yan handed her a second, then a third…
Yao Tang slowly relaxed in her seat as she drank the milk tea in her hand. A smile slipped into her lips.
“From what I heard, Qin Rui said that you needed a music score. What happened with that? Do you need my help?”
His voice was deep and pleasant to the ears.
She slowly nodded.
She didn’t expect Qin Jing to send a message to her brother, Qin Rui.
“It’s fine.” She shook her head. “I already solved it.”
“That’s good.”
Although she had said that, Cheng Yan couldn’t help but glance worriedly at her.
If it weren’t for the unexpected incident at the port that day, he wouldn’t have missed the message Qin Rui had sent him. It would’ve been too late for him to solve this matter for her.
Suddenly a thought occurred to him, and he quickly sent a string of numbers to Yao Tang.
“This is my backup number. If you need help, you can call me from here.”
Yao Tang gazed at her phone before nodding. She glanced back at the movie screen.
“Is this a new movie?”
As she spoke, Cheng Yan was passing the popcorn to her mouth. His finger suddenly brushed against her lips, and he froze.
His heart skipped a beat.
As if he had been electrocuted, Cheng Yan immediately retracted his finger as if nothing had happened. “Yeah, the movie was released yesterday.”
While his voice didn’t change much, the tips of his ears had turned bright red.
However, in such a dark environment, it was hard to see clearly.
Cheng Yan’s finger twitched, and all he could think about was the way his heart had skipped. Had her lips always been this soft?
Just then, Qin Hao’s words echoed in his mind.

Yao Tang shook her head as Cheng Yanhanded her another popcorn. Her expression changed slightly, and she narrowed her eyes.
