6am in the morning, Jiang Fei woke up from his sleep and found Ariel lying comfortably on his chest.
“Heh. Little minx…” Jiang Fei scoffed. Before Jiang Fei slept, he was sure that Ariel was sleeping in a different room. From what it looked like, Ariel had crept into his bed in the middle of the night. It was her habit ever since she was resurrected into the real world. She would take efforts to be together with Jiang Fei whenever it was possible.
“Mhm….” Ariel moaned softly when Jiang Fei moved a little. When Jiang Fei’s hand reached out to run through her smooth hair, Ariel was fully awake and reached in for a hug.
“Good morning, darling,” said Ariel as she smiled as bright as the sun.
“Sigh… What am I going to do with you,” said Jiang Fei as he softly pinched her soft cheeks.
Ariel returned to her own room and had a bath. Jiang Fei finished his bath much earlier since well… he was too lazy to take care of his basic hygiene. After a quick splash of water, Jiang Fei wanted to call the hotel service for breakfast when there was a knock on his door.
“Fei! Are you up?” asked Han Tianyu from outside the door.
“Yeah,” said Jiang Fei as he opened the door for Han Tianyu.
When the door was opened, Han Tianyu came in with a service crew and a tray full of food.
“Leave this here, I’ll call you once I’m done with these,” said Han Tianyu as he pulled out a few bills and gave them to the service boy as tips.
“Brother Yu, you not here just to deliver me my breakfast, are you?” said Jiang Fei as he turned back into the room and went into the bathroom to change his clothes.
“Mhm. I have important matters to discuss with you,” said Han Tianyu as he helped himself with the food on the tray.
“Let’s hear it,” said Jiang Fei after he was done changing into a new fresh set of clothes. Ariel came into his room right after Jiang Fei and the two had their breakfast.
“The Mutants are going to make their move!” said Han Tianyu as he took a large bite of a toast.
“What does that mean?” asked Jiang Fei as he placed the sandwich he was eating aside and paid full attention to Han Tianyu.
“America’s Third Fleet and Seventh Fleet have already entered Japanese water. The Fourth Fleet and the Sixth Fleet had taken the Indian Ocean and are now surrounding us! Only the Tenth Fleet is still in America,” said Han Tianyu.
“That means the American is going all out!” exclaimed Jiang Fei in fear. Five giant fleets of warships and only one was left behind. This was a drastic move made by the Americans and it was purposely done to stir up trouble! They wanted to take China in one clean swift attack! It was all to maintain their position as the global “dominator”!
“Besides that, the Europeans have already made a fleet of themselves. Although it was a mix of different kinds of warships, their fleet is only on par with the Americans,” said Han Tianyu. Having to have multiple types of warships meant that the fleet was only recently formed and formed in a hurry. That could only mean that the Europeans was only acting this way because the Americans were forcing them to. Either that or the Europeans were trying too hard to be on the good side of the Americans.
“Hmm. Seems to me that the Europeans are going to make an enemy out of us,” said Jiang Fei. It was only natural since they were both western countries. Even though it was a surprise, it was expected of them.
“The situation doesn’t look good for us. According to intel, the Americans have already obtained information about China’s Supreme Android Project through spies inside the government. That is why the Mutants and the Americans are trying to make the first move! War is coming and they will not allow us to make the first move!” said Han Tianyu as he grew more agitated.
“Tsk,” Jiang Fei clicked his tongue. China’s government was only creating the Androids as a countermeasure in case the martial artist in China decided to do a coup. That was why the project was kept as a tight secret from anyone in the Martial Artist Alliance. Unfortunately, their plans had backfired on them when the Americans had obtained information about the project. They thought that China was trying to “one-up” them!
Technically speaking, the Martial Artist Alliance was somewhat connected to this. Mutants and the American government were only acting on the interests of American people, hence they were considered as the same entity. With a common goal, the Mutant had revealed themselves to the government and was ready to work with and for them.
Martial artists were different. Their connection to the national government was limited. In fact, only Han Tianyu was directly related to the government. That was the reason why the government had very little information about the alliance. There was no way that they could control them even though they were basically the same people. With great power yet no government supervision, that group could simply go against the government’s will and interest and might even come in, unannounced, to take over China for themselves.
“What are you trying to tell me?” said Jiang Fei.
“I’m telling you that the military wants to have those weapons to be delivered ahead of time,” said Han Tianyu.
“How soon do they want them?” Jiang Fei asked. He had given them a specific date; twenty days, but the truth was Jiang Fei could finish the weapons in only ten days if he wanted.
“Today, if possible. Tomorrow is fine too,” said Han Tianyu with a straight face.
“Get out!” Jiang Fei gasped. Even though the alien tech he had was incredibly advanced, building fighter jets and aircraft carrier needed time! It was, after all, delicate technology! Not magic! How could the government expect Jiang Fei to cough up so many weapons in a day!?
“I understand what I’m asking for seems ridiculous. However, the situation calls for immediate action. Based on our current fighting force, we will be decimated!” said Han Tianyu. He knew that his request might be rejected but it was worth a shot.
The situation in China was at a tipping point. Even though Jiang Fei had given Han Tianyu a good number of fighter jets and weapons, they would not work as intended. The culprit was none other than our own earthly technology.
Planet Namek’s technology was so advanced that they were able to compress an unimaginable amount of energy into a hyper-stable state. To cope with Earth’s own technology, Jiang Fei had made modifications to the Interceptors that they would still perform even without the alien power source. All Han Tianyu needed to do was to fit in a nuclear power source. Currently, the only entity with technology to do that was the Zhang family. Unfortunately, they were not miracle workers as most of the nuclear power source there was had already been fitted into Androids.
When Han Tianyu came forward to ask for more, the Zhang would have to reject his request since there were no more left! Even with military forcing Zhang family to work for them, the Zhang would still need time to make more of the power source!
Everything needed time, even Jiang Fei making superweapons. When the Americans attacked and deployed their weapons against China, it would not be a war but a massacre! China was not armed for such an attack at this moment of time! If they tried to fend off the Americans, there was a slim chance that they would win but it would cost the whole of China itself!
That was why Chinese government had placed their hopes on Jiang Fei. Jiang Fei had promised them weapons and the power source to operate them. All the weapons that Jiang Fei promised Han Tianyu would work as intended but not the weapons that Jiang Fei had given to Han Tianyu!
“I need at least ten days! No less!” said Jiang Fei.
“Ten days…
Han Tianyu frowned. Ten days was too much, especially since the Americans were practically sailing across the bay!
“I have a plan. I think it will delay the war from happening!” said Jiang Fei.
“Try me!” said Han Tianyu. He was desperate, if Jiang Fei had a plan, even if a stupid one, he would listen.
“Let’s try a scare tactic!” said Jiang Fei with a smirk.
“That’s your idea?” said Han Tianyu.
“Let me explain…”
