In the middle of the night, when Qiao Qing had just drifted out of consciousness, her curtains shook and a shadow hopped in from the outside.
Qiao Qing was startled, “Jun Yexuan?”
Jun Yexuan nodded, “Don’t be scared. It’s me.”

Jun Yexuan was taken aback for a second before his chest shook from laughter. He tapped her nose, “So you’ve been waiting for me.”
Qiao Qing’s face turned black, “No!”
“You’re lying to my face.” Jun Yexuan pinched her nose, ‘Your brothers are guarding you far too intensely. I tried to come over once but was caught by your brother. So I had to go with plan B.”
Qiao Qing, “… Can’t you just not come?”
Jun Yexuan answered, “Didn’t you notice that when you’re on your period, if you sleep with me by your side, you don’t wake up from the pain?”
Qiao Qing froze up for a second. That seemed to be the case…
“Why didn’t you tell my brothers that?”
“You think they’d believe something like that? More likely than not they’d think I’m trying to take advantage of you and made up an excuse.”

Qiao Qing’s heart shook a little. She saw that Jun Yexuan stood by the foot of the bed and asked, “Why are you standing over there?”

Qiao Qing’s face turned dark again and she turned around, “Go away!”
“I’ll stop joking around.” Jun Yexuan lifted the blanket and lied down. He scooched and embraced Qiao Qing into his arms, “When I was flipping between windows, my body became cold. Until I warmed up in this warm room, I didn’t want to go and lie down beside you.”
Qiao Qing didn’t say anything.
Jun Yexuan hugged her tighter, “Actually, your brother was right about one thing.”
Qiao Qing, “What?”
“I’m a good for nothing. Even now I want to take advantage of you. Without a kiss good night, I don’t think my day is complete.”
After he spoke, he leaned towards her lips.
Qiao Qing, “…”
