“If you want to compliment my cooking, just say so.” Jun Yexuan crossed his arms and said proudly, “Other than you, nobody’s been lucky enough to eat my cooking.”
Unexpectedly, Qiao Qing didn’t roll her eyes. She thought about it and then said, “Thank you.”
Jun Yexuan took out a napkin and dabbed at her slightly oily lips.
He had a serious expression on his face, “Between you and I, you never have to say thank you.”
Qiao Qing was a little taken back. Just as she was about to turn away to avoid his touch, Jun Yexuan had taken back his hand.
“I’m sleepy. I’m going to bed.” Qiao Qing turned her head and headed up the stairs.
Jun Yexuan watched her as she walked away, he felt a wave of warmth wash over him and swell up his heart.
One day, he would walk into her heart.
The next day after breakfast, Luo Chen came to the Qiao manor to find Qiao Qing.
When he entered the living room, he saw the cold looking handsome man sitting on the couch.
“You haven’t left?” Luo Chen scratched his head, ‘Right, your clothes have been dry cleaned. I’ll go get it for you!”
Then, he looked over to Qiao Qing, “Qingqing, I’ll come back later!”
Qi Yusen was just about to wave his hand and tell him there was no need when Luo Chen ran off.
Mu Jinghang was playing a game on the couch. When he heard all this, he looked over to Qi Yusen, “What’s going on? Why’re your clothes with that boy?”
Qi Yusen was in a daze as he stared at the clothes he was wearing and ignored the question.
Ning Ye on the side explained, “Young master Mu, last night before the party, the young man ran into young master Qi and dirtied his suit.”
Mu Jinghang laughed at this, “Fate.”
Then, he pointed at the clothes Qi Yusen was wearing, “Where did you get that then? It’s obviously not his style. Don’t tell me you bought it for him.”
Ning Ye was about to answer when Qi Yusen warned softly, “Uncle Ning.”
Ning Ye didn’t dare to make another comment. He checked the time and bowed down, “Young master, it’s time for us to leave.”
Qi Yusen glanced at the door and then stood up, “Let’s go.”
“Hey, hey, hey, that boy went back to get you your clothes. He’s not back yet and you’re leaving?” Mu Jinghang smiled.
Qi Yusen hesitated. He thought of something and went up to Qiao Qing.
Jun Yexuan narrowed his eyes.
Seeing Qi Yusen approach, Qiao Qing asked, “What’s up?”
“Give me your cell number,” Qi Yusen said.
Qiao Qing froze. After a moment of hesitation, she told him.
Qi Yusen dialed it on his phone and then said, “That’s mine. Keep it. If you ever get in trouble, you can always come find me at the Qi house.”
Jun Yexuan chuckled, “You think I’m dead? With me here, there won’t be a time when she gets in trouble. If you want to go, go. Don’t waste time.”
Qi Yusen ignored him. He couldn’t help but pat Qiao Qing’s head. Then, he turned and announced to Ning Ye, “Let’s go.”
It wasn’t long after he left when Luo Chen came back with his suit.
He glanced around the living room and out of breath, he asked, “Where did he go?”
Mu Jinghang shrugged, “Left.”
“He left?” Luo Chen froze, “I didn’t give him back his clothes yet.”
He went to Qiao Qing, “Qingqing, do you have his contact info?”
Jun Yexuan raised an eyebrow.
Qiao Qing debated. Though Luo Chen was her good friend, without Qi Yusen’s permission, it wasn’t right to just give out his contact info.
Just then, Jun Yexuan opened his mouth, “165***8988. You don’t need to thank me.”
