Little Goldie was acting very abnormally, but it was hard to say whether this was out of excitement or pain. In short, its body fiercely shuddered as energy pulses came out of its body.
Several minutes later, Little Goldie burped, a sour gas coming from its belly. It giggled at Xia Fei as if nothing had happened, its honest and simple appearance truly amusing.
However, Xia Fei stared at Little Goldie in disbelief. This was because the demon chrysalis had experienced a huge transformation in only a few minutes!
The large eye had split in two, and the mouth had moved from the belly to the front of the head!
Little Goldie seemed to be in the middle of changing from the normal appearance of a demon chrysalis. It was still that strange golden color, but the rest of its body had rapidly shifted. Right now, Little Goldie looked like a giant caterpillar, its soft golden fur appearing very comfortable to sit on.
It was clear that Little Goldie had gotten promoted!
After swallowing the pearl of the Ten Thousand Buddha Radiance, Little Goldie now had a much thicker aura and was full of energy. In a single motion, it had turned from a child to a teen!
Compared to Furball’s slow growth, Xia Fei was more delighted with Little Goldie’s fast maturity!
*Pa!*
Xia Fei walked up to the Demon chrysalis and gave it a light slap, excitedly saying, “Good job! I guess that you didn’t waste the pearl. You’ve actually evolved!”
Little Goldie nodded its head, its two giant eyes warmly looking at Xia Fei with a silly smile on its face.
“Let’s rest nearby for a bit. You went through a lot just now,” Xia Fei said.
“Hing~!”
Little Goldie bellowed and turned its body around to show off its powerful post-evolution muscles. It must be said that that pearl had a truly superb effect. Not only had Little Goldie been stripped off all its fatigue, the big creature was even bursting with energy at this point!
“I understand. Let’s get on our way then, but remember to keep in mind of your safety this time,” Xia Fei ordered.
Little Goldie hastily nodded and continued to show off its new strength to Xia Fei. It seemed to be saying that, even if it ran into another Ten Thousand Buddha Radiance, it would be able to handle it alone.
Xia Fei smiled as he entered through the gaps of Little Goldie’s teeth. This was truly a fortuitous outcome. He had never expected to have a friend in Dark Space, and one that was very loyal and powerful!
Dark Space was a strange and distorted space. There were few, beyond the organisms that lived in Dark Space, that understood its complicated spatial structure, knowing where the channels headed and which channels were dead-ends.
Demon chrysalises were born rulers of Dark Space, so they were familiar with this dark world. Having a demon chrysalis was an immense blessing to Xia Fei. If traveling through ordinary space became impossible, he could summon Little Goldie and infiltrate through Dark Space!
Moreover, the God Race rarely used demon chrysalises, and Little Goldie was a bizarre and powerful existence. With Little Goldie, the Skywings and all of Xia Fei’s friends would benefit!
As he thought about all the benefits the loyalty of Little Goldie would bring him, Xia Fei shut off the Colorless Celestial Spirit defense and returned to Pinnacle’s research station.
Little Goldie set off on its original route. This unexpected promotion had left Little Goldie bursting with energy, so it was traveling much faster now. Like a super submarine, it traveled through Dark Space and took Xia Fei to the Hidden Realm!
In the main control room, Teddy and the others were also feeling very excited. After all, they had escaped from Fig and obtained their freedom, and all of this was because of Xia Fei and Little Goldie.
“Was that the legendary Ten Thousand Buddha Radiance?” Celestial Artificer Wind Raja excitedly asked. “I’ve heard of that gigantic creature before, but that’s my first time seeing it! I didn’t think that you would be able to kill that giant thing and the two demon chrysalis tamers so easily! My three years of forging Sin Raksha weren’t in vain with you using it.”
The mention of Sin Raksha had Xia Fei frowning as he sternly asked, “There’s something strange about this Sin Raksha armor. When I put it on, I naturally got a big boost in combat power, but I also felt extremely angry, with nowhere to vent it. It felt like the only thing that could end it was killing my enemies.”
Teddy and Yabli turned to look at Wind Raja, who turned red in the face. “Hear me out first. In truth, Sin Raksha uses an abnormal metal. That Blackstar Coldsteel exuded a ruthless aura when it was still an ore. If Qing He didn’t repeatedly stress that I must use that metal to make a suit of combat armor, I would never do so.”
Xia Fei slightly creased his brows. “Why didn’t you say so earlier? It’s a good thing I have pretty good control over myself. It was really close back there; I almost lost myself and was on the verge of going crazy.”
Wind Raja became rather embarrassed while Teddy and Yabli pursed their lips, mentally saying, ‘On the verge of going crazy? Haven’t you already gone crazy just then?’
Wind Raja shrugged. “You left too quickly, so when did I have time to tell you? You might not know this, but the reason this suit of armor remained in Pinnacle even after completion was precisely that it’s difficult to control. I observed your performance moments ago, and I found that Sin Raksha’s not entirely effective against you. It should be the principle of every item having a weakness.”
“Every item has a weakness?” Xia Fei curiously asked.
Wind Raja explained, “This is a theory among us artificers. Some types of metal are particularly unruly, and the armors and weapons made from them will only submit to even crazier masters. Giving such to ordinary people will only hurt them. You have a very wild and unruly personality, so even Sin Raksha has to submit to you. As such, you’re the perfect owner for this suit of armor. You just need a little practice to obtain full control of Sin Raksha.”
Xia Fei rolled his eyes at Wind Raja. What did he mean by wild and unruly? He had always pegged himself as the very reasonable kind. Of course, this was only when Xia Fei wanted to be reasonable. With one glare from him, reason would naturally have to step to the side.
Regardless, Xia Fei rather liked Sin Raksha. It was able to amplify the Skywings’ unique Inner Demon and Xia Fei’s innate madness! As long as he did not lose rationality, he would receive a very obvious boost in combat power.
Based on what Wind Raja had said, this suit of armor was at the Law God tier! The highest level of armor that Celestial Artificer Wind Raja could make on his own!
As for suits of armor at the Superior Law God or Peak Law God, they were far too difficult to make. Several celestial artificers would need to work together to make one!
To have a Law God suit of armor at the Superior Law Overlord level, Xia Fei was truly improving his equipment to an abnormal level!
Earlier, when Elan used Darkness law force to attack him, Sin Raksha helped Xia Fei easily block it! He then used that chance to break through the darkness and kill Law Sage Elan in one blow! This was a battle that could be written down and studied in textbooks!
The advantage in equipment had given Xia Fei the absolute upper hand! It made it impossible for him to lose!
Coupled with the disruptive power of the Law of Primal Chaos and Peacock Blue, which had integrated four mystical armaments, Xia Fei had been able to kill a level 5 Law Sage instantly!
It must be understood that Xia Fei was only a level 7 Superior Law Overlord. This heaven-defying ability to kill those far above his rank was enough for him to stand alone in the Law Realm!
After a pause, Mechatronics Master Teddy sternly asked, “Where are we heading now?”
Xia Fei smiled. Not acting at all like a savior, he said, “All three of you are masters of your professions, so I don’t dare to decide things on my own and need to discuss this matter with you. I presume that all of you know that Fig Corporation has immense power in the Law Realm, and its tentacles can be found everywhere. If the three of you go back, you’ll probably fall into Fig Corporation’s demonic claws once more.”
The three masters all sighed. The more forthright Wind Raja bitterly smiled. “My home is gone, as is my family. What would I even do if I were to go back?”
These words almost had all three men crying. To control them, Fig Corporation had annihilated their families! Just like with Radix’s Mech Race, the clans of these three masters had been exterminated long ago! They no longer held any hopes for the Law Realm and had no lingering attachments.
Xia Fei was naturally trying to persuade them with kind words. While he did save them, he had no intention of hanging this achievement over their heads. Instead, he was persistently trying to think about a way out for them.
As the saying went, only with one’s back against a large tree could they enjoy the cool shade. The three of them were alone and had offended Fig Corporation, so they naturally had no way out. Xia Fei was merely expressing his stance.
What did a person who had just regained their freedom fear the most? They naturally feared falling under the control of someone else again! Only those who had lost freedom understood how precious freedom was. Xia Fei was matching their taste and letting them experience freedom’s advantages.
When Xia Fei was young, he had already thoroughly studied all the twists and turns of human nature! These three masters had no idea that Xia Fei was willingly letting them go so that they would be easier to capture later, all for the sake of making these three masters of their respective fields to ultimately become his willing subordinates!
The three masters turned gloomy when they realized that they had nowhere to go. They finally understood what sort of challenges they would have to face now that they had regained their freedom, and the situation did not seem optimistic.
At this moment, the most straightforward of them, Wind Raja, said, “Xia Fei, you saved us, so we’ll just follow you wherever you go. As long as we can taste the air of freedom, it doesn’t matter where we go.”
Teddy and Yabli were both a little surprised, but they expressed their agreement with Wind Raja’s words. No matter what, they desperately needed a backer, or else they would once more fall into dire straits.
The time was ripe, so Xia Fei stopped concealing his plans. He nodded and solemnly said, “I actually do have an idea.”
“Please explain,” Teddy said.
Xia Fei replied, “We’re currently heading for a secret realm. That place is very safe, and you will have a lot of freedom there. The three of you can stay there for a while and enjoy a free and unrestrained life.”
Xia Fei specifically emphasized the word ‘freedom’, and the three masters found themselves very tempted. They had been imprisoned for several hundred to a thousand years, so which one of them did not want to enjoy such days? Thus, they all began to ask in detail about the Hidden Realm’s situation.
Xia Fei patiently explained, and the three masters’ smile gradually grew as excitement sparkled in their eyes.
“You may not know this, but I’m a member of the Skywing Clan,” Xia Fei informed.
“Skywing?! The Demon-sealing Fiendish Blade?!”
“No wonder you have such incredible speed! You’re a member of the famous Skywing Clan!”
The three masters were shocked. After all, the Skywings were far too famous, and the Demon-sealing Fiendish Blade was a long-established name in the Law Realm, occupying an important place in the universe very early on.
“All three of you are top-class masters in the circle, and my Skywing Clan can always be counted on to keep our word. As long as the Skywings exist, no one will dare to cause trouble for the three of you!” Xia Fei waved his hand and firmly declared.
This was a fatal attraction for Teddy and the others! Everyone knew that the Skywings were free and relaxed people. Even if they were only servants in the clan, they would still have some status, and no one would dare to look down on them. Gaining the protection of the Demon-sealing Fiendish Blade was all that one could wish for!
The three masters soon totally surrendered, intending to follow Xia Fei to the end.
Compared to Fig’s tough and unyielding methods, Xia Fei had managed to gain not just the servitude of the three masters but their hearts as well!
From now on, the Hidden Realm would have three more powerful allies! Also, with the return of the king of the mechs, Radix, an ascent to the heavens was inevitable!
…
Once the conversation was over, Xia Fei assigned the three of them jobs and then went alone to Prison Cell 1 to seek Radix. Radix had not communicated with Xia Fei through the screen this entire time, so he could not help but worry.
“What’s wrong?” Xia Fei went inside and shouted.
He received no reply despite shouting three times. Xia Fei was stunned, an ill foreboding welling up in his heart!
