Before he was even done talking, Qin Ruhai got a cold look.
Huo Sishen took a step closer to him and lowered his voice, “Don’t you think you are a little too slack for a doctor?”

“Hello! I work 12 hours a day! I am still seeing patients when you are sleeping in bed with your wife!”

“What does you having to work 12 hours a day have to do with me?” asked Huo Sishen.
Tears streamed down Qin Ruhai’s cheeks.
He couldn’t take him.
That was a blackhole for logics!
“Yes, yes, yes, I’ve chosen this path myself. I didn’t dare go against my grandfather’s wish back then and had walked down the path of no return. But… why am I telling you this?! Neeways, your wife is fine and healthy. With all the rest she had been getting these past two months, she is healthy than me!”
“Have you forgotten already?”
Huo Sishen frowned in displeasure.
“Hmm?”
Qin Ruhai felt that something was very off.
Surely, Huo Sishen brought up long-lost memory the very next second.
“She had been hurt before. She lacked security and wanted to commit suicide.”
Huo Sishen paused. His handsome had never been more solemn.
“How is she doing now?”
Qin Ruhai’s mouth dropped open all of a sudden.
He was so in shock that his face twitched a few times.
“What?”
They had already gotten married and had a baby together. And he was still thinking that she wanted to kill herself?
“Bro, are youalright??”
Qin Ruhai thought he had had it all figured out way before now.
Who knew this huge misunderstanding would still be ongoing??
“This is love, bro!”
When Huo Sishen heard the first half of the sentence, he was about to frown. But when he heard the second half, he was stunned all of a sudden.
Qin Ruhai gritted his teeth and straight up punched Huo Sishen.
Stop bullying the single dogs!
Why should a family doctor who was still single be responsible for teaching his patients what love is??
“She just had a child with you. Why would you still think she is sick? Have you never heard the song Will Die for Love? Sister-in-law had been professing her love for you this entire time. She is very healthy mentally. She might be a little lonely recently from all the sitting around but she will get better when she gets to walk around some.”
This could not all be attributed to Huo Sishen’s straight man mentality.
He didn’t know this was love before he got married and Qin Ruhai had misled him to think that he was the mental support for this poor girl.
And, after they have gotten married and he had been falling for her bit by bit and that he had seen her notebook, he finally learned how important he was to her.
That being said, with what Qin Ruhai had said to him previously, it had never occurred to him that… this was love all along……
Huo Sishen was stunned. He could feel drumming inside his chest.
Qin Ruhai shoved him on his shoulder. “Take you wife home already. I am heading back to the clinic. Stop gloating your love in front of me like this in the future. It’s bad for my heart.”
Huo Sishen went silent for a few seconds then, as though he had finally recollected himself, nodded and opened up the room door.
He walked straight into the 2-bedroom suite and saw the soft body who was just now folding up a dress.
He could see her smiling from her side profile.
He took a few steps over to her and wrapped his arm around her tiny waist. He pulled her into his arms and right up against his body.
“Let’s go home.”
