Qin Ruhai had no choice but to go visit Gu Shishi who was adjusting the thickness of her ink in the other room ten minutes later.
He started the conversation in a very point-blank way.
“Pardon me, sister-in-law, the one next door is having his episode again.”
Gu Shishi, who was deep in trance with her work, paused a little when she heard that.
“How come? He was fine just last night.”
She even blushed a little when she said that.
She had gone to bed five minutes late the night before because she had to accommodate to some specific position of his.

Qin Ruhai sighed and stated it in the simpliest way possible the problem that he had encountered next door along with his own observations.
“Due to the trauma from when he was younger, he resents memories from his childhood and that possibly makes it difficult for him to embrace the idea of having children.
“You know, he was the oldest one among his siblings and had always been the one who had been looking after his siblings. His closeness to his siblings were overturned overnight when the incident happened. Most likely he had been feeling guilty over that since.”
Gu Shishi was taken aback a little. “Are you saying that he is worried and doesn’t want to have children?”
She didn’t hear the last few things that Qin Ruhai had said.
She was stunned by his opening.
Luckily, she hadn’t said it out loud the last few days but had only been getting ready from her end.
Otherwise, they just might have gotten into their first fight right after the wedding.
Qin Ruhai scratched his head. “Let me put it this way, we can assume that his logic works the same way as others.
“One thing for sure though. He had witnessed the infancy to toddler period of both Huo Wencheng and Huo ChuChu, perhaps even the entire period of time into their adulthood. In a family without a father, the oldest brother will take on the role of the father.”
Gu Shishi’s mouth opened and closed.
“So, the fact that they didn’t grow up properly left a bad taste in his mouth?”
Qin Ruhai shook his head then nodded. “It would negatively impact him to a certain degree. He felt guilty subconsciously. It was because of him that Huo ChuChu, once a nice girl, had become rebellious, which then negatively affected her school, friendships, and romance.
“And Huo Wencheng… he isn’t much to show for either.”
Qin Ruhai was not a fan of Huo Wencheng.
“As the oldest brother after his father and grandfather had passed away, he felt that the responsibilities had fallen onto his shoulder but he never had the chance to do that. By the time they had already turned out the way they did, there wasn’t a lot more that he could do.
“As such, having a child might be a very difficult decision for him. He might worry about ruining another individual’s life. One that is his flesh and blood no less… Eh, sister-in-law, what’s the matter?? Why are you crying? Please don’t cry!”
Qin Ruhai finally looked up when he was half way through talking.
He was immediately startled by the girl in front of him covered in tears!
