Gu Shishi was one for good looks and it mattered a lot to her. That had to do with her profession and her hobby.
There was nothing she could do about it.
It was her thing for many years. She was an expert at observing pretty things and recording them.
She needed to be moved easily by what was pretty so that her paintings could be filled with emotions.
Huo Sishen had her figured out long time ago.
He had kept that in mind ever since she had said that he was good looking and she wanted to draw him.
As such, there was no way he would place a good-looking man near her.
His long and slender fingers flipped through the stack of resumes while Gu Shishi went to make him his black sesame paste.
He picked up the oldest and safest ones from the stack and placed them on top with no hesitation.
“Here, drink it while it is still warm.”
Huo Sishen frowned a little when he tasted the sweet and sticky black sesame paste.
He didn’t like the taste of it.
It was too sweet and too thick.
He continued to drink it without saying anything while listening to Gu Shishi’s phone calls with the candidates.
Her voice was clear and sweet and she was very polite on the phone.
She was respectful in her word choice. She demonstrated professional distance and also cautiousness in the first communication with the candidates.
It was far from the soft and sweet way when she talked to him.
Huo Sishen suddenly felt that the black sesame paste wasn’t that bad after all.
Gu Shishi had quickly spoken with three of the manager candidates.
“How is it?”
Huo Sishen rubbed the edge of the cup.
“Which one do you like best?”
He looked at her with this cool and calm black eyes.
Gu Shishi had jotted down notes from her calls.
When she heard his question, she tabbed on the first man naturally.
“I wouldn’t say like.”
She pouted a little.
Huo Sishen nodded and his lips curved up almost unnoticeably.
Mmm.
She didn’t like. Excellent.
“The first candidate from the first impression, I guess. He had started his own studio in the past and have relevant experience. He also had experiences in large-scale internet activities. His knowledge is more comprehensive.”
She could find nothing wrong with him other than the fact that he was ugly.
Gu Shishi thought that he would work, as long as she avoided looking at the picture.
Huo Sishen’s look did not change at all and he took another sip of the black sesame paste.
He lifted his chin at Siyi.
“Go and have the comp discussion with him. Have him start on Monday.”
Even his magnetic voice sounded very relaxed.
Siyi acknowledged him right away.
He couldn’t help but turned and gave his boss a few more looks before he took off. He had an odd feeling that his boss was in a good mood right now.
Gu Shishi still hadn’t figured out what was going on and was just very touched right now.
The boss was so busy normally and always worked till the wee hours of the night and sometimes even stayed up working in the study instead of going to bed.
He only had a few days off for a change but he still worried about her matters instead of taking the time for some much-needed rest.
She had even forgotten about talking to the candidate about salary and start date earlier and he had to step in to help her out!
She wasn’t doing a very good job.
Looking at the bald candidate on the resume, she felt that she still had a lot of maturing to do.
She wasn’t a little girl like Huo ChuChu, how could have the boss take care of so much for her?
At this rate, even if the boss wouldn’t go bald, his skin condition would be poor as would his health. The beer gut was caused by prolonged sitting, stress, and poor eating habit.
No way!
She needed to do her best in maintaining his perfect and prideful appearance as well as a healthy body!
“Would you like to take a nap?”
Gu Shishi got worried all of a sudden.
She had almost forgotten about the boss’s danger within the next two years’ time as described in the novel.
Now that she had recalled it, she was very anxious.
She blinked her limpid eyes at him and they were filled with pleading.
