Gu Shishi paused halfway through drawing on the fan.
She read the assignment message twice before she realized that she had inadvertently gotten onto the right path.
It looked like a big portion of the boss’s issue came from his sister.
His issues with his family must be resolved!
But would the boss agree to it?
If it was an assignment from the system, then for sure Huo ChuChu would not be affected by the curse.
But the boss didn’t know that and would be worried about it, right?
Aye, she’d just have to put more time into thinking this one through.
Gu Shishi pondered over it as she drew. She was quick and the ink painting hand fan was done in no time.
She took a picture and sent it to Chen Kexin, asking her if she wanted it mailed.
“This is for Old Mrs. Chen?” asked Huo ChuChu suddenly, her arms still wrapped around a pillow.
Gu Shishi nodded.
Huo ChuChu was a bit surprised.
She didn’t exactly have all her acts together in recent years, but she was still quite in touch with what had been going on in their circle.
Old Mrs. Chen loved collecting and she’d always attend all sorts of shows or auctions with other elderlies.
Anything that could get this old lady’s attention must be very exceptional.
Gu Shishi… really wasn’t as bad as how she was portrayed in the rumors.
“You are mightier than others said.” Huo ChuChu blushed a little as she said that.
She hated it when others talked about her brother behind his back, yet she listened to what others said about Gu Shishi.
“I’m sorry… for being so rude to you this morning. I…”
If it wasn’t for this sister-in-law, she would probably still be sitting in the rain right now. She had been so sad that she didn’t even want to go home; nor did she have anywhere else to go.
“Oh? What exactly did they say about me?” Gu Shishi put down her paint brush. Her interest had been piqued.
Huo ChuChu has already had a newfound respect for this new sister-in-law of hers.
Too bad she didn’t have her cellphone with her, but she repeated what she had heard to Gu Shishi…
The more Gu Shishi heard, the more her eyes widened.
These Second Generation Riches!

Inside the study right now.
Huo Sishen was sitting quietly behind his desk. He had a solemn look on him and he was sitting straight up.
Siyi, standing in front of him, mustered up all of his courage to report back to his boss.
“Miss Gu found Miss Huo and brought her back. Miss Huo was drenched and she was crying. Miss Gu comforted her and brought her inside of her own room.”
Huo Sishen’s lips were shut the entire time until he finally looked up and asked, “What did Sier find out?”
Siyi scratched his head and said, “The Luo’s young miss, Miss Luo Pingting, invited Miss Chuchu to the party. They added her to their girls’ group prior to the party and bad mouthed Gu Shishi to her. They seemed to want Miss Chuchu to bully Miss Gu with them. But Miss Chuchu shouted at Miss Luo in front of everything this morning and really embarrassed her.”
Huo Sishen raised his brows as he listened.
There seemed to be a slight curve to his tightly shut lips.
His little sister wasn’t entirely brainless.
He had taught her a lot when she used to follow behind him when they were kids.
All the pampering did not go to waste.
She was much smarter than those chirpy girls.
But he had quickly turned cold.
How dare these spoiled girls plan to use his sister to antagonize her ‘sister-in-law’ on paper!
“They had established a group by the name of ‘The Anti-Shi’.” Siyi forced himself to carry on.
The temperature continued to drop in the study, and the air pressure was alarmingly low.
Huo Sishen reached out his hand.
Siyi, hesitated a little, but finally handed over the cellphone that he was holding in his hand.
