Transfer Student (1) (转学生(一))
Listening to Xiao Haiqing’s loud voice, the students near the announcement board all immediately stared at the name ‘Qiao Hongye’. As expected, Second Place was now someone else. The originally immoveable Qiao Hongye was actually in the next board of rankings, and was indeed in the 120th place!
Second place to 120th place, the difference was not just a change in a single digit!
“But Qiao Hongye was allocated into Class 1? How is that possible!” Someone suddenly spoke out.
One statement stimulated three layers of waves. There were many students whose grades were actually not bad who were upset because they had been defeated, but they would have never thought that while Qiao Hongye’s grades were equally bad, she was still firmly seated into Class 1. Based on what? They were all students, and they were separated into classes based on their scores, then shouldn’t they be fairer?!
Instantly, some students who had the guts rushed into the office to get an explanation.
Jing Yunzhao and Xiao Haiqing glanced at each other before they shrugged. They did not care which class Qiao Hongye was in.
Unfortunately, that group of students was shooed out of the office not long after. According to what the teachers said, Qiao Hongye took the test while she was sick. Additionally, her grades before were always very good. Just because she dropped ranks this time did not mean that she did not have the right to be a part of Class 1.
The students were unable to defy the school’s decisions, but they were even more disgusted by Qiao Hongye after this.
Especially the students of the new Class 1, who felt like they were insulted. Classes had not even officially started but they already did not have a good impression of Qiao Hongye.
After re-allocating the classes, naturally, the homeroom teacher would also change. The new teacher’s last name was Ji (齐), an old man of about 50 ish years old. Not only was he strict, but he also had a bit of prestige. Even amongst the other teachers, he was the one who had the deepest career history. He was also on the older side, giving the other students several times more pressure.
The students filled up the corridor outside the classroom, while Teacher Ji was standing in front. Wearing a pair of thick glasses, he looked at the ranking list, expression extremely fierce.
“Which one of you is Jing Yunzhao?” Teacher Ji asked, his voice a little hoarse.
Most of the students were trembling in fear. The moment they heard the teacher open his mouth, they immediately gave away Jing Yunzhao’s position.
“It’s me. Greeting Teacher,” Jing Yunzhao returned politely.
Teacher Ji lifted his eyes and gave her a look. Her conduct was natural and unrestrained, but at the same time not stiff. He was somewhat satisfied with her and nodded, “Very good. Go in to pick a seat, you can pick one student to be your deskmate.”
With the reallocation of classes this time, Su Chu and Gan Jinchen had also become her classmates. However, the relationship between the two cousins was good, so she had no intention to be deskmates with Su Chu and break the two apart. Thus, she unhesitatingly picked Xiao Haiqing.
As such, the two girls occupied the best seats in the classroom.
The students of this class were all top students. In the past, they all occupied the first row of seats in their old classes. Now, thinking that they would be assigned to sit at the back, they all started to panic.
Qiao Hongye was the most helpless. Previously, she took second place in the whole school, but now she was the bottom last in the whole of Class 1. The hatred boiled in her heart, she could only follow the transfer student, in case she picked someone else.
Jing Yunzhao was inside the classroom, listening to the homeroom teacher calling out the students’ names one by one.
“Gan Jinchen.”
“Ji Dayong.”
“Liu Hanhan.”
“Jiang Xia.”
……
…
“Tang Zihua”
Hearing a familiar name, Jing Yunzhao was stunned. She originally thought it was someone else with the same name and surname, but the moment she raised her head, she found out that it was indeed the grandson of that Old Grandpa Tang.
So he was the transfer student?
The resources of the Tang Family were plentiful. Two days ago, she had heard that the request to reallocate classes this time was from one of the school’s investors, and seeing Tang Zihua now, it was difficult for Jing Yunzhao not to spin out a conclusion.
She saw Tang Zihua walk in alone, having not chosen a deskmate. His goal was very obvious as he shot towards Jing Yunzhao’s direction, and in the end, he sat on Jing Yunzhao’s left, the distance between the two being a mere aisle.
