Shi Han could not bear to reject Ye Linlang’s wish and asked, “What would you like to eat for dinner?”
“Dumplings stuffed with peanut meat.”
Shi Han laughed hearing what Ye Linlang said, “Is there such a thing?”
The grandmother held Ye Linlang’s hands in tears and said, “I will cook it. You guys play the game.”
Peanut Meat Dumpling was a traditional dish in Jiameng.
The grandmother often made that dish for Ye Linlang back then.
When Shi Han asked what she would like to eat, Ye Linlang blurted out the dish.
“Grandma, I will do it with you.”
After hearing Ye Tianxin, Ye Linlang followed them and said, “Me too.”
“Great, let’s do it together.”
The mothers and daughters went inside the kitchen together.
After the grandmother assigned duties to them, Ye Tianxin and Ye Linlang started to do their parts.
Ye Linlang said, “Mom, mentioning the dish made me want to eat it so badly now.”
Grandma grinned from ear to ear and said, “As long as you stay obedient and not run around, I will make it for you every day.”
“Okay.”
Ye Linlang’s eyes turned red. It had been twenty years. What had happened during that time?
Fortunately, God had blessed them with a reunion.
The other workers in the kitchen thoughtfully left the whole space to the three so the mother and daughter could enjoy the wonderful time together.
Ye Tianxin gazed at the profile of Ye Linlang and humbly thought that the predestined affinity within people was odd.
Ye Linlang selected the grandmother’s case from that many patients’ medical charts and agreed to operate on her.
Maybe it was destiny for her to drop her scalpel in the operation room.
The gods above had them meet each other.
They separated for over twenty years because of somebody.
Now, they were finally reunited.
They would live happily ever after for the rest of their lives.
They would always be blessed.
As Ye Tianxin mixed the dough, she asked her mother, “Mom, do you like the Lang Garden?”
Ye Linlang remembered when she got out of the car. She could not help but nod, meaning that she liked it.
She especially liked the Lang Garden.
“Then you can live in the Lang Garden if you like it, alright?”
Ye Linlang shook her head and replied while chopping green onions, “How about Mo’er? I need to go back to see Mo’er.”
“Mom, what about Grandma and me? Now that you’re finally back, we want to spend the New Year with you.”
The Empire City’s Spring Festival was a fantastic day for family reunions.
Now that they had found Ye Tianxin, Ye Linlang certainly wished their whole family could spend the Spring Festival together.
“I have promised Mo’er that I would go back to spend the holiday with him.” Ye Linlang’s heart melted when she lifted her head, seeing the disappointment on Ye Tianxin’s face. “Maybe you can all come with me.”
Ye Tianxin shook her head, pretended to be jealous, and said, “Mom, is it because you care more about my little brother than about me? Well, I guess that’s okay as long as I still have Grandma…”
The grandmother laughed. “Linlang, can you stay? How many years has it been since we spent time together for the Spring Festival? I have been thinking about bringing you home to Jiameng so we can light incense at your grandparents and father’s graves.”
Ye Linlang felt a bit awkward and said, “I’m sorry, but I made a promise to Mo’er.”
“Mom, will you be back after you go over there?”
Ye Tianxin certainly did not want to go with Ye Linlang. Ye Linlang and Xie Xuning were her parents, and she wished that their whole family could spend the Spring Festival together at the Lang Garden.
“Tianxin, why don’t you want to come back with me?” Ye Linlang could not understand why Tianxin refused.
Ye Tianxin brought up a readily available excuse. “It is because I have to attend the Spring Festival Gala; I cannot go.”
