Oong!
The sound was getting louder, but Lin Xiao was facing another difficulty. Despite having the hanging rope to help him hanging on, Lin Xiao realized that it was hard for him to even move down nor hanging on the rocks.
That was because of the strong wind!
He had already climbed the steep mountain from time to time, so he had experienced the wind there. It was always threatening to blow him away from his original position as if he was nothing more than a fallen leave.
This time, it was not much different. But…
"The wind is even stronger as I get down."
Lin Xiao furrowed his brows. Normally, the higher the ground, the stronger the wind would be. But when he was going down this cliff, the wind was getting stronger when he was going closer to the bottom.
Well, not that he knew where the bottom was, though.
Time ticked while Lin Xiao struggled to go down. He looked around him but realized that it was starting to get completely dark. Slowly, he took out the Primordial Light Night Moss that he kept inside his Spatial Ring. It was useful as Lin Xiao could now see his surroundings better.
After thinking for a bit, Lin Xiao decided to leave some of the Primordial Light Night Moss on the path he passed before. This way, he would be able to keep track of where he was going while going down the cliff.
"There's no beast around. It's eerily quiet."
Lin Xiao looked down and narrowed his eyes when he spotted that there was area where the rock stretched further. He continued to climb down and stood in that precise area. His eyes were scanning the surroundings while thinking about where he actually was.
Tak!
Looking down, Lin Xiao was stunned when he saw piles of bones. With the help of Primordial Light Night Moss, he had better vision and could see the tattered good clothing of the corpse. It was now only bones, but Lin Xiao could recognize the clothing anywhere.
"Su Han."
Lin Xiao looked up but couldn't see the outside anymore. It was completely dark over here and only the Primordial Light Night Moss provided him with some light that allowed him to look around.
He walked to the wall and noticed that it was not just the rock was stretched out, but there was also cave heading inside. After some hesitation, Lin Xiao stepped inside while using the Primordial Light Night Moss to light up the area.
The light was dim, but it was more than enough for Lin Xiao to see that the cave was small and it was empty.
Oong!
"The sound comes down from below."
Lin Xiao furrowed his brows. Going down anymore would be very dangerous. He also didn't have such stupid idea to continue climbing down when he could barely see his surroundings like this.
He still treasured his life and naturally wished to live longer.
Oong!
The sound was getting closer?
For some reason, Lin Xiao felt a bit apprehensive and swiftly moved behind a large rock. For whatever reason, he felt that it would be saver for him to stay there and not moving around in the cave.
In the next second, Lin Xiao felt sudden chills. He didn't dare to move but he could hear the sound of rough breathing along with the flapping of wings. His body turned stiff as he didn't dare to move.
'Flying Beast!'
There were limited number of flying beasts in this world. Most of them were usually very powerful and needed at least Foundation Establishment cultivator to subdue them. Because of that, Body Training Cultivator would choose to run instead of fighting when they met with such powerful beast.
Lin Xiao was clearly not an exception.
He wanted to run but most importantly, he didn't want the beast to figure out where he was. Because of the two conflicting thoughts, Lin Xiao ended up merely crouching down where he was and tried to wait.
The temperature slowly dropped.
'Is it Ice Elemental Flying Beast?'
Some people could also use elemental type in their attacks depending on their understanding to certain type of element. Lin Xiao himself had never gotten any comprehensive teaching regarding those elements, so he never knew if had any talent or chance to learn it.
Swish!
The gusts of chilly wind nearly made Lin Xiao moved in fear. However, he struggled to stay still in place and glanced up. Thanks to the light that Primordial Light Night Moss made, he could finally see the beast in front of him.
It was a majestic blue beast that landed on the front of the cave. The dim light and also the narrow entrance of the cave didn't provide him much information, but he could see the fine lining on the side of the bird beast. It was like rippling waves with the mix of white and blue color.
Just like a painting that came to live.
That was just how beautiful the beast was.
'However… how long is that beast planning to stay there?'
