Habi looked at the executioner sword with a nervous gaze.
He knows what this sword represents. He knows the story behind that sword. The sword was made from the blood of Sam’s enemies.
Not just any enemies. The three hundred members of a clan took away a person that was under Sam’s wing.
Basically, it was crafted as a message for everyone to see what will happen if someone that belongs to Sam is touched.
The current scenario is not that far off. Habi’s only companion, the one companion that he could absolutely trust and share with anything in this life was taken away from him and this is an opportunity for him to deal with this.
He knelt down and accepted the sword with both hands.
“I will not let you down, teacher.”
Sam smiled in satisfaction. He turned and took Jack away from that spot.
“You are really giving executioner away? That sword has been with you forever.”
“Well, it has to go sooner or later. I love these weapons, but there is no point in holding on to them forever. They have to be passed along with the Dusk organization sooner or later. And regretfully, I am not using executioner as much as I want to anyway.
It will find better use in that kid’s hands.”
“Whatever you say, so can I have reaper?”
Sam raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
“If you want, you can try and take it. But you have put a Black meteorite on stake. I am sure he could use a better company.”
“Don’t covet my sword. I only have one unlike you. I am not as fickle as you. I am faithful and devoted.”
“Then be like that, why do you want my reaper anyway?”
As they are bickering, Habi is feeling the full brunt of the Executioner sword. After all, it has a very strong spirit and if Habi couldn’t even convince the spirit, then there is no point in giving him that weapon.
But Sam is confident. If the will he saw yesterday from the young man is true, then there is no way he would lose to the executioner sword.
And the boy indeed didn’t betray his expectations. After half an hour, he opened his eyes with a wide smile on his face.
“Okay kid, if you are ready, we can go and greet the clan. My hands are feeling a bit itchy.”
Sam’s yell made him come back to his senses and all three of them went to greet the clan that put Habi through all of this. And they are not going by the foot of course, they are moving on beasts. Sam and Habi sat on Sky while Jack sat on Yanwu, the rest of the beasts that are traveling by foot.
Even Void hopper is participating in this.
“Anyway, all of you guys, be careful. Void hopper you are responsible for making sure that none of the Divine plane cultivator attacks will fall on our companions. You are the only one who has the ability to do that.
And based on that requirement, everyone keeps pumping their Divine energy back to the little one to execute those attacks. Understood?”
Sam just got a mental message that they understood everything.
Sky and Yanwu are the first to reach the location. The sky above the clan grounds. Both Jack and he exchanged a glance.
“Okay kid, I am leaving. Sky, drop him off slowly at the location of his peers. I am sure he has an idea of where it is. We will deal with the big dogs.”
Both Jack and Sam jumped off from there. They took their swords out as spiritual energy is being channeled to them.
Both of them had a smile on their face as they swung it towards the main mansion of the clan they landed with a loud bang.
*BAM*
*KEEN* *KEEN*
*CRASH*
They left two large craters in the middle of clan grounds. The two sword rays gave out a large keening sword before they sliced through the mansion’s formation and then a large part of the mansion.
The mansion collapsed in the rubble. All the elders and the clan leader are all trying to come out of the rubble angrily.
They are already pissed at the message that Jack left them last night and they are still trying to figure out how to counter that. Now, someone dared to attack them from head on. This is intolerable.
When they came to their senses and saw two people standing in front of them, one of them being the person they are pursuing for a long time, they became extremely angry.
“I don’t know who you are or why you came here. But since you are helping him, you are our enemy. I will kill you and feed you to our beasts.”
One of the elders pointed his finger at Sam and spoke.
Sam lunged forward without any wait as he swung his sword. His first swing cut the arm that was pointed towards him and the second swing cut open the torso of the elder in an upward swing.
Before the elder’s body could touch the ground, the third swing cut his head off in a smooth motion killing him.
Sam didn’t stop there though. A lot of spiritual energy gathered at the tip of his foot as he kicked the head.
The energy disappeared as if it was injected into the head which flew off. It went towards the spot where most elders gathered and when it landed there.
*BOOM*
It exploded along with a massive energy explosion.
The elders were blown away.
By now, the dust from the rubble completely settled and Jack also took down an elder.
The clan leader looked at both of them standing there and felt extremely angry.
“Two Astral Plane brats, dare to come here and challenge me?”
He angrily channeled his Divine energy.
Sam’s face is full of excitement, he has been waiting for this day, to challenge someone with Divine energy, not just someone with Divine energy but someone that genuinely broke through to the Divine Plane.
But the next minute, he was hit with disappointment. He could sense the Divine energy within that guy’s body and honestly it is not much.
He even thought that his senses are fooling him and channeled a tad bit of Divine energy of his own into the eye technique.
The energy eye can now see the flow of Divine energy clearly and the disappointment only grew.
The divine energy in the other person’s body is basically just a tad bit more than what Sam has in his body.
It is not even that big of a difference. It is not even double. The only thing is that the other party can channel it freely across his body because he already broke through. He can freely wield it.
Unlike, Sam who will have a much harder time using the energy to its full potential. This is the first time he came across a person who broke through to Divine Plane. So, he expected a lot actually.
And the ones who can wield the Divine energy even when they are not Divine plane cultivators that he came across, Gail, Yuvana, and Gamin for example are already way too badass with their strength.
So, he must say his disappointment hit a new low with all of this.
When the clan leader used his Divine energy to channel a lightning attack that came straight for Sam, he didn’t even move.
Right before the lightning could even reach him, the space in the path of the lightning got severely distorted. It was torn apart in multiple directions throwing the small area into complete turmoil. The lightning strike lost more than half of its power and the rest of it was thrown somewhere far off the original trajectory.
“This is going to be way easier than I thought.”
Sam nodded at Jack and when they were about to make a move, the beasts already joined in.
When the clan members unleashed their own beasts, it worked against them because those creatures refused to go against the natural predators that are staring at them.
The clan buildings are raging to the ground and battles started at many fronts.
But there is one front where the battle is about to begin.
It is at the place where the porcupine is currently held captive.
Habi is standing in front of a tower.
This is the training quarters for all the youngsters of the clan and this is also the place where the captives below a certain level are held.
The whole concept is that they are using their kids’ sadistic tendencies to break the prisoners down. Unfortunately, Habi’s porcupine is also held there.
He could feel his pain through their connection at that very moment and his eyes couldn’t help but water a bit.
By now, the youngsters inside already saw the commotion in the core area of their clan, and they wanted to come out and check it out. But to their dismay, the emergency protective formation of the tower was activated making them unable to escape.
