“I don’t have anything to worry about Avlyn. But you should start worrying. You already crossed a hundred lines today. If the other party decides to do so, then you are dead meat.
Particularly, if they get a hint that you are about to start a realm war right at their doorstep. It is not like you don’t know how Gail operates.
You have tasted it first-hand. I just hope that you haven’t forgotten the lesson you learned that day.”
Cray left the room after he said those words.
His tone is full of disappointment and exhaustion.
Avlyn clenched her fists in anger. She gritted her teeth as he looked at Cray’s back. She wanted to say something. But she couldn’t bring herself to.
She clearly remembered the day that she was taught a lesson, and that is one of the reasons that she couldn’t bring herself to let this go.
Even if she was remembered as the unethical and immoral wench of this war, she decided to go ahead with her ruthless plans.
She will do anything and everything to get back at them.
While she is drowning in her own thoughts, Sivan who appeared at the healing barracks looked at his subordinates.
He contemplated what he said to Avlyn and shook his head. The way he behaved is completely out of character.
He never really cared for people’s lives. As long as they serve his ambition, he would do anything and everything to achieve that.
But recently he has been acting up. He is getting way too angry about things that didn’t matter before. He started caring about things that he had never done before. This is making him feel conflicted.
As he was thinking, all of a sudden, someone arrived at the camp.
An attendant came running to Sivan and informed him.
Sivan was really surprised when he heard the news.
He walked and met with the person. He is a member of the clan leader’s Elite team and he came with a scroll and a recording crystal.
Sivan opened them both to get the message from the clan’s leader and he was shocked by the news. He finally had a smile on his face with it and he went back running to Avlyn.
“We are getting reinforcements.”
He said it out loud gathering everyone’s attention.
Avlyn frowned in askance.
“The Mari clan is sending the remaining forces. It seems like the Dusk organization is currently being handled. They are not an immediate threat. So, the forces that were put on reserve just in case are coming. Except for the bare minimum forces that need to be there for the basic security of the clan, everyone else is arriving at the battlefield by tomorrow.
This is great news.
With the blows we have landed on the Gaja clan, they obviously cannot recover too much. So, we can deal with them as we like.
I think we can win this thing. Since the peak stage cultivators on the other side are also injured. With the grand elders that are currently coming to us, we can definitely hold them back before you recover.
And since the grand elders are constantly attacking, the other parties won’t have any time to recover.
I believe this is a great opportunity, you can still deal with the peak stage cultivators. What do you guys say?”
Sivan said excitedly.
The Divine league members exchanged looks. This is really exciting news.
As long as the Peak stage cultivators that come here know what they are doing, they can certainly stay safe while still making sure that Gail, Gamin, and the rest don’t have any time left to recover to their top condition.
Meanwhile, they can recover and attack them after.
The best part is, that they don’t have to start their Plan B at the moment. They don’t have to start a realm war just to win against one clan anymore.
So, they are extremely relieved by the scenario.
Meanwhile, in the Mari Clan’s main city.
The clan leader and his wife are sitting in the office once again. But he is not as tense and broken down as before.
He looked put together and he is a lot calmer.
“Thank you so much. Because of you, I was able to manage this situation. I never expected that the Blood Iron league and other organizations involving themselves could change the situation like this.
The Dusk organization almost disappeared as if they never existed.
Did you anticipate this reaction?”
He asked his wife enthusiastically.
“No, not at all. I expected a severe payback. I expected some chaos in other powers and possibly even for the Blood Iron league, but this is obviously more suitable for our current scenario.
As long as Dusk organization doesn’t act up, we have an upper hand. At least for the moment, it doesn’t matter if they are completely destroyed or if they are just laying low.
It will all be the same to us.”
“That is true. But Are you sure we should be sending all of our forces to the Gaja clan’s side?”
“Isn’t that what you wanted? You are the one who suggested we do so, why are you asking me this again?”
“I know I asked for this, but I kind of expected some kind of backlash from you. Some resistance. But you immediately agreed. Why is that?”
“I felt like this is the proper time for you to send your forces. I happen to agree with your reasoning that is it.
The Dusk organization disappeared for the time being. I heard they suffered some severe losses at the hands of others. This only shows that the only reason they won over us time and again, is because of the information they had on us beforehand.
They just know us too damn well.
Now that the opponents changed for them, they have to disappear for some time.
If you take this time and defeat the Gaja clan within a short period, then you can have your forces back before the Dusk Organization could recover from this blow.”
“Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it.”
She just smiled slightly and they went through the documents.
As they were speaking, the forces already started moving to appear in the Gaja city.
The next day, right after sunrise.
Sam who is standing on top of the wall looked at the horizon through the telescope and frowned hard.
He knew that they are in trouble as soon as he saw it.
All the forces from the Mari clan arrived and they are moving to the camp.
He immediately jumped off the wall to go and meet Gail and the Clan’s leader.
He explained the situation to them and everyone was shocked.
The clan’s leader felt a slight sense of despair.
“How are we going to tackle this? There are way too many soldiers that are coming. We barely managed to even the playing field with a lot of effort. What will happen to us with these extra forces?”
“I don’t know. But we need to make a decision.
The fate of the Gaja clan depends on it. So you better take your time and make this decision only after considering all the factors. The time is not your friend, but try to stretch it as much as you can.
You can either decide to stay and fight back or you can just move to the stray realm along with the rest and stay there.
Even though it might be discovered by someone after they start taking over the territory, you will still be able to save yourselves and the rest of your clan for some time.
But fighting them is even riskier. You have way too much to lose and way too many people to defeat.
Everyone will understand why lost and why you went away into hiding.
So, don’t feel embarrassed to make that decision if that is what you want.”
Sam stood up and walked out. He let the clan members decide what they want to do with the scenario.
He might have a large agenda behind the whole war. He might need his body, but he cannot ask a clan to risk its complete survival over his situation.
He can get his body later.
He just waited for the answer. But to his surprise, he didn’t have to wait for long. He was called in within a few minutes.
“We are fighting.”
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Sam asked in a surprised tone.
He did expect the raise of this scenario, but not with such a short amount of time.
“There is no point in hiding. We will be discovered sooner or later and even if we didn’t, it will be difficult to restore the clan once again if we are in complete hiding.
It is better to fight now.”
“If you think so. Then, we need to make the first move.”
“First move, shouldn’t we be waiting for them to make a move. We are the weaker party here.”
“Of course we are, so they won’t see us coming with our attacks first.”
