It was known among the air stewardesses that, in order to be selected by Ji Ziming, a flight attendant must either be wealthy or have a noble background. However, this air stewardess fulfilled neither of those two aforementioned criteria and even her looks were not outstanding.
Nonetheless, this air stewardess had the kind of beauty which could leave a lasting impression on others. She had the gentleness of a girl with a humble background.
There was a world of difference between her and the past one. If one were to use flowers to describe women, the previous air stewardess was a rose, while this one was jasmine. The latter had a special fragrance and was able to protect her uniqueness and character in this complicated world.
She was not disturbed by the external world and would not be overwhelmed by her desires.
Seeing that Ji Ziming had closed his eyes, the air stewardess stopped speaking and turned to look at Pei Ge for directions.
Pei Ge signaled for her to leave. The air stewardess, who was wearing heels, began to walk carefully as though afraid that if she woke the man up with the clacking of her footwear, she would be fired.
There were many air stewardesses who had been fired by Ji Ziming, and she did not wish to be one of them.
She had an old father and a sickly mother whom she must take care of.
“Since you’re done drinking, let’s head back to our room to rest.”
His eyes opened slightly. As he looked at the woman beside him, his lips curled upward subconsciously, the emotions in his eyes especially prominent.
“Okay.”
She nodded. It was not an easy feat to rest on the sofa in the living room. Even if she agreed, the man would not.
How could a wolf let a white bunny off easily, after all?
When the plane arrived at the Jis’ airport, the man brought Pei Ge to the bathroom and they had a bath together. She looked especially beautiful in his eyes; thankfully, he did not meet her too late.
They dressed up and alighted from the plane. Both sat in a black Lincoln and headed back to Ji mansion. Pei Ge entered the house right away but found out that the children were already asleep, whereas Auntie Zhang was napping in the living room’s chair.
When she heard her opening the door, the elderly woke up and went to her. “Madam, you’re back.”
“Auntie Zhang, where are the children? Are they asleep?”
Pei Ge removed her coat as she entered the room.
“They’re all asleep after I coaxed them to it.”
The auntie smiled amiably at her. Before she could finish saying everything, Ji Ziming appeared, and seeing Pei Ge standing in the middle of the living room, his eyes narrowed. “What’s wrong? Don’t believe me? I told you that the children are already asleep.”
Seeing the smile at the corner of his lips, Pei Ge felt that she had been tricked by him. She turned around and headed straight to her room.
“Young master, do you want me to prepare some food for you and the madam?”
Auntie Zhang rubbed her eyes. She waited for the couple’s return and, while doing so, fell asleep before the table.
“No need; we’ve already eaten. Auntie, you can go rest.”
He saw how tired she was and reckoned that she had a hard time with the children.
“Yes, young master.”
After getting his permission to rest, the auntie headed back to her room. She turned off all the lights in the kitchen on the way to her room, so there was only the chandelier left shimmering in the living room on the first floor.
Ji Ziming knocked on Pei Ge’s door but heard no response, so he opened the door and headed in.
The room was completely dark, but smelling the familiar fragrance of the woman, he was certain that she was sitting on the sofa.
All of a sudden, the light was turned on. Pei Ge was uncomfortable with the sudden brightness and did not open her eyes right away. By the time she got used to it, the man had removed his suit and walked toward her.
“What’s wrong? Are you angry?”
His eyes narrowed as he looked at her. His voice was hoarse. “My wife is actually angry; how should I coax you?”
Looking at him, she did not speak a word. There were not many emotions in her eyes either.
“Do you want a bag or diamonds?”
Despite his smile, she continued to look coldly at him.
“I forgot that my wife doesn’t care about all these. She only cares about me and only me.”
Ji Ziming unbuttoned his shirt and his muscular chest was exposed right in front of the woman. She finally spoke. “Don’t do that. You only know how to lie to me and even learned how to use the children to cheat me of my feelings.”
“Darling, I didn’t lie to you. You’re the one who refused to believe, so what could I do?”
He had removed his tie, and all the buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned except for the last one. His large hand carefully rested on top of Pei Ge’s as he spoke in an alluring voice. “Now it’s time for me to repay you.”
“Who needs your repayment?”
The woman stood up and was unwilling to give him a satisfying answer. She quickly removed her hand from his and put it behind her back as she walked to the windows to enjoy the scenery.
“What’s wrong? You’ve learned to play cat and mouse now?”
His eyes darkened as he followed her to the floor-to-ceiling windows. He wrapped his arms around her slim waist as he looked at the scenery outside. Despite the amazing view, he still wanted to look at her the most.
His hands traveled on her slowly, and soon, they arrived at her twin peaks. Pei Ge turned around and went straight into his embrace, and both enjoyed a night of intimacy.
On another end, in the Ji Group’s five-star hotel, Qu Xiujie was still wide awake. When he heard someone knocking at the door, he warily took out the dagger he had hidden under his pillow.
He knew that, even if he left the Qu family, Old Lady Qu would not let him off so easily.
When Qu Xiujie first arrived at the hotel, Murong Cheng reminded him to be extra careful about his safety. Even an outsider knew how evil and ruthless that old lady could be that she would hurt her even her family.
The knocking stopped after a while.
Instead, it was the sound of the lock being opened. Qu Xiujie gripped the dagger even tighter. He was not afraid that Old Lady Qu would settle him and was merely fearful that the old bloke was still living in a fantasy where she was a wonderful woman.
