“Alright, but I won’t be staying in a guest room as I have a room here.”
This was clearly a provocation, but Pei Ge remained calm as she smiled graciously.
“Since you already have your ‘guest room’ here, I won’t be needing to show you the way, right?”
She put emphasis on the term ‘guest room’, such that it would be hard for one to ignore it.
“…” At least, she succeeded in making Qu Jingwan feel stifled. The latter tugged on her lips before laughing dryly and turning to leave without giving her a backward glance.
After the lady had vanished from sight, Pei Ge turned to glare at the man unhappily.
“Hmph!”
Before the man could explain anything, he was interrupted by their two children.
“Big bro, why does that auntie have her own room in our daddy’s house? Isn’t she a stranger?”
“That’s because that auntie used to be daddy’s fiancée.”
“Oh! So that auntie was daddy’s fiancée… but doesn’t he like mommy? Why did he still have a fiancée?”
“Because…”
Seeing the two talk as though they were conducting an investigation of his crime, Ji Ziming lightly coughed.
He was afraid that they would come up with something ridiculous!
“Cough, cough, cough! Guys, you should be sleepy, too. Daddy will bring you to your room to sleep.”
With that, he gently rubbed their heads and picked up his daughter.
Although the two were mollified by him, they were, first and foremost, their mommy’s staunch supporters.

The two actively requested for them to sleep with Ji Chi in order not to get between their parents.
The man nodded at the pair’s insistence.
“Fine. You two will sleep with your brother today.”
After obtaining his approval, their large eyes curled into adorable crescents.
“You rascals.”
As the saying went, ‘a mother knew best’, so how could this pair of siblings’ mother not know what the duo was thinking? The woman could only shake her head in amusement, though.
After bringing them to sleep in their brother’s room, their parents left.
Under the bright and yellow hue of the moonlight, Ji Ziming draped his arm on Pei Ge’s shoulders and brought her in his embrace. The silhouette of the two strolling along the paved path in the garden looked very romantic.
Alas, their expression was far from that.
“Why does Qu Jingwan have her room in your house?”
Pei Ge had a ghost of a smile on her lips. Without the two children around, she was clearly about to start counting debts with him.
