She gently patted his back while speaking.

She released him from her embrace and gently wiped his new tears.

The little fella quickly retracted his tears upon hearing that.

She rubbed his head again upon spotting his tears, then carried him, and stood up from the bed.
“Alright. Let’s go take a shower! Look at how dirty your face is!”
The child’s cheeks reddened when he heard that she was bringing him to shower.

She patted his head, amused, before carrying him into the washroom.
After undressing him, she checked the water temperature and then placed the boy in the bathtub.
“Come; let’s clean up before going to bed.”
After she was done showering the child, she helped him into his pajamas, then carried him out of the washroom and back to bed. It was then that she noticed that the bedsheets had been changed.
“Alright. Now, it’s time for us to sleep.”
She placed him on the bed gently.
The child’s eyes widened as he tilted his head, asking curiously, “Mommy, aren’t you gonna ask why I was crying?”
“Pfft! Then, you tell me why you cried.”
She regarded his wide-eyed look with amusement and chuckled.
“I want you to become my mommy, so I cried!”
