Gu Ziyan’s heart was in turmoil, and patted her hand: “Ziyuan, don’t be afraid, I will never abandon you.”
Rong Yan was also nearby. She pulled Gu Ziyan’s arm, while smiling at Yan Ziyuan: “Ziyuan, we will face all good and bad with you. We will never leave you behind.”
Gu Ziyan frowned. He was about to whisk her touch away when Yan Ziyuan moved away from him. With vigor, she nodded at them: “We are like a grasshopper on a rope… unescapable. Let me calm down first and then think of a way to leave this place.”
And then, she turned her body. After a few steps she stopped on a pillar, raising her gaze to look at the dusky sky.
The sky was overcast with heavy clouds. There were no stars and no moon. Everything was hazy and messy like her heart.
In the meantime, the survivors have been discussing any method they could attempt to break free from here, however they still inextricably failed.
Since the boatman was dead, they took control of the ship, and randomly chose a direction to slowly wobble away.
That red dressed evildoer has left after all, so perhaps they would be able to escape from the mist.
All the musicians lived in comfort and were experts in playing the guqin, however they were rookies when it came to managing the ship. After exerting with all their strength, and their hands became blistery, they were finally able to figure out how to make the ship work. Shaking and trembling, the ship moved.
Roughly ten minutes later, everyone heard a cracking noise below… it looked like the wood had been split open.
Yan Ziyuan was oaring apathetically. Her thoughts were roaming around who knows where, so when she heard that sound, she didn’t think too much.
Until she heard someone shouting: “NOT GOOD! THE SHIP HAS BROKEN! WATER IS ENTERING!”
A wave of alarm and panic striked everyone, those who were unable to block the fracture just stared at the water madly pouring in. Afraid of being engulfed by the liquid, they jumped off the boat.
Although Yan Ziyuan’s swimming ability was average, it was enough to jump down, swim away and watch the ship sink slowly…
Yan Ziyuan looked around… three other people were floating in the water like her, and they were Gu Ziyan, Rong Yan and a certain childe surnamed Luo.
There was no trace of the others… they have likely drowned or have been eaten.
Gu Ziyan’s wugong was pretty good so he swam quickly, while Rong Yan couldn’t swim properly. In fact, she almost hung on his arm. When Gu Ziyan spotted Yan Ziyuan, he breathed a sigh of relief and swam over there with Rong Yan: “Ziyuan, are you okay?”
Yan Ziyuan shook her head: “I am fine.” And then circled around with her gaze again… Right now she was in a dangerous situation, so Ye Feng should’ve appeared…
Hmph! If you don’t want to come out then don’t! This miss won’t cherish you! Wait for father to send me a better Shadow Guard! I don’t want you anymore!
Yan Ziyuan was furious. But why did her heart hurt so much?…
The four people gathered together and chose where to swim.
It was foggy on all sides, the sky was saturated with dark clouds, while the water was foul. Waves after waves hit them, wanting their lives. Now, they were convinced that this wasn’t the lake they were supposed to sightsee… has it ever been that dirty?
