Mu Siyin’s expression changed from sadness to excitement, and she widened her eyes in joy. “Really?”
Ji Yang nodded her head. “Yeah, but she won’t stay in the capital for long. She has to perform in other cities too.”
Mu Siyin sighed when she heard this. “She really is one busy person.”
“What can we do? She’s just too famous!”
“Okay. I got it.”
“Yeah. I’m just letting you know. When she’s back, you must squeeze out some time for us no matter what. You can’t be so clingy to that new boyfriend of yours all the time.”
Mu Siyin was speechless. “Huh? I don’t get what you’re saying. How am I clingy?”
Ji Yang snorted lightly. “How are you clingy? When you were dating Gu Yifan, you would always hang out with me whenever I wanted. But now? You prioritize your new boyfriend first. I don’t even know if I’m second to your list.”
Mu Siyin did not know whether she should cry or laugh. “You’ve wronged me, Office Ji.”
“I did not! Well, you can always prove me wrong by going out with me tomorrow night.”
Mu Siyin instantly nodded her head. “Okay.”
Her reply stunned Ji Yang, who asked in suspicion, “Are you for real?”
“Yeah!”
“Great! Let’s have a sleepover after dinner tomorrow night.”
“Sure.”
Ji Yang was slightly taken aback by her response. Something was wrong with Mu Siyin.
“Are things between you and Shi Beiyu okay, Yinyin?”
Mu Siyin paused for a while before saying, “We’re good. Why?”
“Doesn’t he send someone to pick you up from work every day? I just find it weird that you’re making plans with me so suddenly.”
Mu Siyin was getting annoyed. “Do you want to hang out with me or not?”
“Of course! Yes!”
The next morning, Mu Siyin washed up and headed downstairs.
The servant was preparing breakfast, while Mu Xingyu and Li Tongzhi were already up and talking at the dining table. They looked quite excited about something.
As she approached them, Mu Xingyu intentionally raised her voice. “I can’t believe that you told me not to ask Yifan yesterday, Mom. I asked him about it in the end, and he told me that he has never given anyone a ring before. Some people really know how to put feathers in their own caps!”
Li Tongzhi looked surprised. “Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Does that mean someone provoked you because she was jealous of you?”
“That’s right! It’s just pure envy, jealousy, and hatred!”
Mu Siyin sat in her seat as she looked at the two singing the same tune. Needless to say, she was utterly speechless by their actions.
“It’s really a pity for some people not to end up in the entertainment industry.”
Mu Xingyu snorted when she heard that. “Are you talking about yourself? You act like you are something when, in fact, you’re nothing.”
Mu Siyin sneered. “Some people are just born pig-headed. They don’t even realize how many lies their trashy boyfriends tell and go around showing them off instead. I wonder if they’re genuinely dumb.”
Upon hearing Mu Siyin’s words, Mu Xingyu slammed the table violently as she glared at the former. “Who are you calling a pig-head?!”
Mu Siyin lifted an eyebrow and smiled. “The person who’s defending herself now.”
“Mu Siyin, you tramp!” Mu Xingyu bellowed in rage. Amid her anger, she took the glass of hot milk in front of her and splashed it in Mu Siyin’s direction.
Mu Siyin had anticipated that. She was, after all, the one who had used this trick first. Hence, she quickly dodged the moment Mu Xingyu’s hand grabbed the glass of milk.
The steaming hot milk poured out and landed with a loud splash. It sounded like she had hit someone with it.
Mu Xingyu and Li Tongzhi’s eyes instantly widened in shock.
Mu Siyin turned her head around curiously…
The moment she saw Mu Heyuan drenched in white liquid, her jaw dropped in spite of herself…
