Mu Siyin noticed how mad Shi Beiyu was, but she was quite flustered herself. She really did not know how to explain this matter to him.
It must be Gu Yiling!
Gu Yiling must have told Gu Yifan something after she went home. That was why he came looking for her like a madman!
At the thought about that possibility, she clenched her fists tightly as coldness flashed in her eyes.
It seemed like everyone from the Gu family was a bad seed.
Instead of pulling Mu Siyin onto his lap like usual, Shi Beiyu sat in a corner alone quietly with a solemn face, exuding a chilly presence.
If he had not gotten there in time today, Mu Siyin alone would not have been able to fight against that beast! She was too weak.
Yet, what did she do instead?
She met up with Gu Yiling that afternoon!
The thought of that made Shi Beiyu’s blood boil.
Did Mu Siyin meet Gu Yiling because she was not over Gu Yifan?
Shi Beiyu did not talk at all during their ride to the villa.
Mu Siyin herself was in a bad mood and did not feel like talking.
However, she did not know that her silence was slowly ticking off Shi Beiyu!
By the time they got to the courtyard, Shi Beiyu pushed open the car door and left without turning back to look at her.
Mu Siyin, who was sitting in the car, sighed softly.
Noticing that Shi Beiyu had left, Yan Ze turned his head around timidly, looked at her, and said, “You should think of a way to butter our Young Master up, Miss Mu.”
Mu Siyin was speechless.
She got out of the car with a frown and realized that Shi Beiyu had walked into the main building himself.
Uncle Zhong stood before the building and paid no attention to Shi Beiyu as the latter walked past him coldly. He simply blinked his old eyes and frowned. “It looks like we’ve got a situation!”
After that, he extended his head and gazed outside.
He raised his eyebrows in suspicion at a glance and scurried over to Mu Siyin. He whispered something into her ears, “Girl, what did you do to piss Little Beibei off?”
Mu Siyin was still pondering on how to explain things to Shi Beiyu, so she whispered back to Uncle Zhong, “It’s a long story.”
Uncle Zhong’s eyes immediately lit up. “Tell me now! I don’t mind a long story.”
Speechless by his behavior, Mu Siyin frowned. “You gossip too much, Uncle Zhong!”
Then, she walked away.
Uncle Zhong stood rooted to the ground as he gaped. “I’m not here to gossip. I’m just concerned about you two!”
Mu Siyin’s heart tugged as she walked into the building. Shi Beiyu was nowhere to be seen, and after giving it a thought, Mu Siyin headed upstairs.
She made her way to the master bedroom and sighed before she pushed open the door.
The room was silent.
Shi Beiyu was sitting on the sofa coldly with his long legs crossed, looking noble yet elegant.
As soon as Mu Siyin walked in, Shi Beiyu stared at her with a frown. His deep eyes were so sharp that it felt as if he could see through her like an X-ray.
Mu Siyin looked down and walked in on her toes as if she was a guilty child. She stopped in front of him and murmured, “Don’t be mad.”
Shi Beiyu narrowed his beautiful eyes and glared at her silently.
However, the anger he exuded made Mu Siyin feel very intimidated.
She sighed softly. Fidgeting with her fingers, she lowered her gaze again and said, “I know you’re angry. But I had no idea that Gu Yifan would come tonight. Thank god you made it in time. If not…”
At that, she paused to peek at Shi Beiyu. When she realized that he was still staring at her, she let out a nervous laugh. “Thank you for being there for me.”
“You didn’t know he was there?” Shi Beiyu said as he glared at her.
Mu Siyin hurriedly shook her head. “I had no idea! I swear!” She even raised her right hand genuinely.
