Naked Sword Art Chapter 294

Chapter 292: Just a Dream

Chapter 292: Just a Dream

‘Where am I?’ Xiao Fang thought as he suddenly recalled an unexpected memory.

Although he was a bit confused at first, he quickly recognized where he was and what he was doing there at the time.

‘I’m in Grandmother’s private quarters. This must be the time when Wu Yue gave me the news,’ he thought.

Like Xiao Fang thought, Wu Yue relayed the message she received from his grandfather.

“As part of the deal, the moment your half-sister returns to the sect, your father will disowned you from the family, so your surname will no longer be Xiao. That also means you will no longer be qualified to become the Patriarch of the Divine Sword sect,” Wu Yue explained.

Xiao Fang recalled Wu Yue’s words clearly. He remembered being shocked about it because he always assumed that his grandfather was grooming him to become a powerful patriarch of the Divine Sword sect. Although he didn’t care much about the Xiao Family, this just went to show how little he knew what his grandfather was thinking.

Xiao Fang assumed the memory would now end there because he couldn’t remember any significant event that happened past this point, but when he heard Wu Yue’s next words, his brows suddenly furrowed.

“There’s something else…”

“What else?” Xiao Fang asked.

Wu Yue didn’t want to be the bearer of bad news, especially since he was finally starting to forgive her for her past misdeeds. However, she knew Xiao Fang would never forgive her if she didn’t give him the chance to say goodbye to Yu An before she was taken away.

When Xiao Fang heard the news, his jaw dropped as he took a step back. Just like how he reacted to the news the first time he heard it, Xiao Fang could feel his heartbeat rapidly beating as the reality of the situation began to set in.

“No, you’re wrong. Why would they want my mother? Tell them she died in an accident and her body couldn’t be recovered,” Xiao Fang said.

“They want to see her alive, but she knows too many of our secrets, so Xiao Kong wants her death to look like an accident once she enters the Chaos sect’s territory,” Wu Yue said.

“You are trying to find a way out of this right? What’s the plan? How are you going to get her out of it?” Xiao Fang said in panic.

He couldn’t settle himself down, nor did he want to. His mother was the only family he cared about, so he didn’t want anything to happen to her.

Wu Yue didn’t reply to his questions because she didn’t have any answers to them. The longer he waited for her to answer, the less hope he had that she would. Eventually, Xiao Fang could tell that Wu Yue had no plans to save Yu An, so he quickly left.

Wu Yue knew that Xiao Fang would be upset with her, but she also knew that telling him was better than the alternative.

As Xiao Fang was recalling this memory, the only thing he couldn’t understand was how he could forget something so significant. All this time he thought his Yu An was safe at home with Chun Hua. Thinking about Chun Hua, he couldn’t help but feel a aching pain in his heart. He took her home to keep her safe, but how could he have known that his family would be the last people to trust with his woman and unborn child.

Xiao Fang continued the memory to figure out what happened next. He remembered returning back home to warn Yu An of what was coming, but her reaction didn’t match his expectations at all.

“Did Wu Yue tell you?” she asked.

“Yes. This place isn’t safe. Quickly, pack your things, we need to go.”

“Go where?”

“Anywhere but here. We can focus on the details once we’re out.”

“I wouldn’t be able to get past Wu Yue. Even if I could, how long do you think it would take for your grandfather to find me?” Yu An replied.

“We have to do something. If you stay here then you’ll just be a sitting duck.”

“Xiao Fang look at me,” Yu An said as she grabbed both of his wrists.

He then watched as her brown eyes became violet before a peculiarly pattern appeared in them.

“Don’t worry about me. I will be alright, your mother isn’t as weak as you think. Wouldn’t it be strange if my cultivation stayed in the Profound realm all this time?”

“You’ve been cultivating? Why wasn’t I able to feel it during our sessions?” He asked.

In the next moment, Xiao Fang felt a strange sensation envelop him the longer he stared into her alluring eyes. He didn’t realize it at the time, but he was slowly forgetting what Yu An was in danger from.

“Forget what Wu Yue told you about me. I will be alright,” Yu An said.

Although she had a plan in place, there was no certainty that it would work. Whether it goes as planned or not, she didn’t want him losing focus on his cultivation because of her. For the sake of Xiao Fang’s future, she was convinced this was the right thing to do.

“We… we need to run. It isn’t safe here…” Xiao Fang said as his thoughts became hazy.

Eventually, Xiao Fang could feel Yu An’s grip around his wrists loosen before she finally let go.

“What were we… what was I saying just now?” Xiao Fang asked in confusion.

“You were saying Wu Yue told you some news,” Yu An said with a beautiful smile.

“Ah that… forget it, it’s not important,” Xiao Fang said after a bit of thought.

He didn’t want to worry her about him being disowned, because the only family that really mattered to him was his mother. As long as she was okay, he had nothing else to worry about.

‘That dream… it felt so real,’ Xiao Fang thought.

Xiao Fang thought the whole thing was just too strange to be true. For example, it didn’t make sense why he would suddenly remember something like that now.

He couldn’t just return to the Divine Sword sect because of a bad dream he had, and frankly he was too tired to even open his eyes right now, so he decided to think more about it after getting a bit more rest.

“Xiao Hei, are you still not done?” Xiao Fang said.

Xiao Hei froze the moment she realized he was awake. She thought if she sat still he wouldn’t notice her sitting on his lap. However, it only took a moment for Xiao Fang to notice her.

Xiao Hei smiled innocently when he said her name. Since she was caught, she quickly got off of his dick then positioned herself between him and Su Yun. Xiao Fang was too tired to berate her, so he just went back to sleep.

As his mind began to drift, he could help but wonder if what he saw was really just a dream. He decided that he would go check up on them tomorrow just to be sure.
