Ling Jiu had no idea what magic Leoux had used. All he knew was he passed through the dimensional fissure unimpeded and arrived in a world opposite the wormhole in no time.
The current location was also a planet. Just that it was desolate with only gray skies and gray earth. There was nothing else there.
There were no plants, rivers, or animals.
And there were only gray stones and a multitude of bones. Everything looked dead and barren. It was a lifeless and desolate world.
“See? This is the planet where the Insectoid army has visited,” Leoux said faintly. “Wherever they go, nothing will survive. Whether it is living things such as animals and plants, or natural resources such as water and minerals, they will plunder. Eventually, the entire planet will become a lifeless celestial body.”
Ling Jiu said not a word as he rose into the air to observe the planet better.
Judging by the skeletons and bones, this used to be a habitable planet flourishing with life.
The largest skeleton was tens of meters long. It was easy to imagine that the animals on this planet were very large, but now all that remained of them were bones.
“We must wipe out the Insectoids and not let Earth end up like this,” Ling Jiu said coldly as he clenched his fists. “Leoux, find the Queen.”
“Found it,” Leoux said, but then it fell into silence. It took a full half a minute before it spoke again.
“Ling Jiu, there is a bug hive hidden in the center of the planet. The number of Insectoids is about one point two million, and the Queen is likely hiding in there.”
“You lead the way. Let’s kill them all,” Ling Jiu said with a frosty voice.
“Okay.”
With Leoux showing the way, Ling Jiu went underground and arrived at the center of the planet half an hour later.
It surprised him that the center of the planet was hollow, the hot iron core and boiling magma gone. Instead, there was a huge insect hive in its place.
The hive was massive, as if a gigantic hornet’s hive, densely packed with holes on the surface, each hole containing a larva.
He again looked at the hive, where six giant bugs were lying quietly. They looked like six mountains of meat, trembling and wriggling. Whenever it moved, its flesh sloshed.
And in front of these six giant bugs, an army of Insectoids was busy fetching food and water, some nestling bug eggs, and some digging holes.
They had a clear division of labor and were working in an orderly manner.
“Are those the Queens?” Ling Jiu asked with a low voice as he looked at the six giant bugs.
“No. Those are not the Queens but female bugs. They are tools for multiplying the Insectoid army. They are Insectoids with no intelligence.” Leoux shook its head. “The Queen differs from the ordinary Insectoids. She has distinctive characteristics. You will recognize her the moment you see her.”
“Can you find the Queen, Leoux?” Ling Jiu frowned slightly.
Their target this time was the Queen, not just a few meaty bugs and the Insectoid army.
Leoux shook his head slightly. “This is just an ordinary Insectoid arsenal. The Queen is not here.”
“Not here?”
Ling Jiu frowned. “Where is she then?”
“I still need to search carefully.” Leoux sighed. “The Queen is brilliant and cunning. She has a replication arcana similar to yours, and can continuously learn various abilities. No one knows what abilities the Queen possesses. So it is difficult to handle her.”
“Then what should we do?” Ling Jiu sighed.
“Before I came to the underground, I had launched some probes to search around the center of this planet. I am confident they will find her soon,” Leoux slowly replied.
“Let me know once there is news about the Queen.” Ling Jiu exhaled, looking at the giant bug and those busy Insectoid armies again with a murderous look in his eyes. “Before you find the mother emperor, let’s get rid of these guys before we find the Queen.”
“It is time to eliminate these guys. This planet and Earth are connected by a wormhole. All the Insectoid armies produced by this arsenal are vanguard forces to invade Earth. The crisis on Earth will go away naturally when these guys are destroyed,” Leoux said faintly.
“Then let’s kill them!” Ling Jiu licked his lips with a bloodthirsty smile. He then opened his mouth and unleashed a powerful suction force as a black hole with a diameter of 10 kilometers appeared.
The powerful suction force swept through everywhere, swallowing the six female bugs directly below the black hole without the slightest resistance from them.
Then, it was the other bugs’ turn.
The entire underground world was in chaos at this moment. The Insectoid army closest to the black hole was struggling frantically, but could escape the fate of being swallowed.
The Insectoid army far away escaped the pull of the black hole, but just barely. Before they could run away, they suddenly froze in place.
It was Time Halt. Ling Jiu performed a Blink Arcana and appeared above them and then performed a Devourer again to swallow up all of them.
The outcome was self-evident. It was a few hours later when Ling Jiu returned to the surface.
That Insectoid arsenal and over 1.2 million Insectoid soldiers on this planet had been converted into vitality.
“The level of stored vitality is a little too high this time.” Ling Jiu moved his body as he felt bloated. He knew that this resulted from absorbing too much vitality. “Do you have a Gravity bangle, Leoux?”
“Sure,” Leoux replied. “Are you planning to press your body with the Gravity Bangle to burn the stored vitality in the body?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay,” Leoux said. “You will have no problem with withstanding one thousandfold gravity force with your current physical strength. The Stellar-Class Gravity Bangle is just nice for you.”
“What is the maximum gravity force the Stellar-Class Gravity Bangle can generate?” Ling Jiu asked with curiosity.
“Ten thousandfold.”
“That is awesome!”
Ling Jiu took the bangle and immediately adjusted it to 1,000G for himself.
He felt a terrifying gravity force fall upon him from all directions. Every cell, organ, and inch of his muscles suddenly had to withstand 1,000 times of gravity.
The force reached an alarming level.
The cells started to consume energy frantically to resist the sudden surge of gravity. This energy is vitality. A normal human body contained a limited amount of vitality, and once exhausted, the person would die.
However, Ling Jiu was different. He had too much vitality in his body. While burning the vitality, the cells would unconsciously become stronger.
He was burning his energy continuously.
His body cells were growing stronger.
This was the role of gravity.
Of course, exerting such a high level of gravity on himself was strenuous. It was okay to endure it for a few minutes, not a problem even if it went on for an hour or two.
The hard part was persisting, which was the most painful. Ling Jiu could only clench his teeth and persisted under such circumstances.
“Is there any news yet, Leoux?” Ling Jiu gritted his teeth and asked in a low voice.
“There is no definite information of the Queen’s whereabouts for the time being. But I have found several Insectoid arsenals in this star system,” Leoux said. “There are six planets in this star system, including three rocky planets, three gas giants, and six-one satellites. The three rocky planets and sixteen satellites each have an arsenal, and those arsenals are by no means small.”
“Let’s clean up one by one,” Ling Jiu said faintly. “Keeping them is leaving a scourge behind. It is better to turn them into vitality in my body to increase my strength.”
“Understood,” Leoux said as it released the Leoux to carry Ling Jiu to head to other planets.
Whether it was the other two rocky planets or satellites, they all had turned into lifeless planets.
Animals, plants, water sources, minerals, and other resources had all been plundered, leaving nothing behind but death and bones.
“The Insectoids will plunder everything wherever they go. This is only one star system, which could be the tip of an iceberg.”
Leoux nonchalantly said, “The truly powerful Insectoid army can easily occupy large tracts of galaxy clusters and turn them into a barren world. They could even wipe out those powerful intelligent civilizations.”
“The Insectoids are a bunch of scums.” Ling Jiu gritted his teeth.
“They are the scum in the universe.” Leoux chuckled. “They are like cockroaches. Everyone hates them and could not wait to get rid of them. But at the same time, many people like their way of reproduction and the powerful combat strength and fearless attitude of the Insectoid army. So there have been many incidents of enslaving the Insectoid Queen in the development’s history of cosmic civilization. Some failed, but some succeeded.”
“Enslaving the Insectoid Queen?” Ling Jiu was startled.
“There used to be such a powerful being in the universe. People called him the Insectoid Tyrant because he had successfully enslaved an Insectoid Queen and devoted himself to developing the Insectoid army and at last, stood at the pinnacle of the universe,” Leoux said. “So the Insectoid army might be hateful, but it is also an opportunity for you.”
“Do you mean I should enslave the Queen?”
Ling Jiu raised his eyebrows with a light in his eyes.
“Why not?”
Leoux said, “This Insectoid Queen is weak. It is easy to enslave her. But this is not all. Two, your solar system is very peculiar, with many wormholes. These wormholes are connected to many places in the universe. It is a natural pasture. Three, countless powerful beings have been coveting the combat strength of the Insectoid army. Don’t you want to have an invincible army of Insectoids that even gods would fear?”
Ling Jiu swallowed hard. As much as he did not want to admit it, deep inside, he was…
“Are you tempted?” Leoux teased. “Since you are tempted, let’s do it. The probes have found the Queen.”
“Where is she?” Ling Jiu quickly asked.
“The star system next door,” Leoux slowly said.
“Let’s waste no time and hurry over.” Ling Jiu urged. He was an eager beaver now.
“Understood,” Leoux replied. It then directed the Leoux to open up a wormhole and left the current star system.
They arrived in a nearby star system in just a while.
