Jing Yichen looked at the terrible bombing site and said with a calm face, “Go and check other entrances to see if there is anyone alive. Find one and ask him.”
His men took the order and left, but Jing Yichen stood there.
Normally, people did not survive this kind of attack but Lu was different.
This could have injured her, but would not kill her.

Poised, Jing Yichen nodded and said, “Found any other entrances yet?”
“No, just this one.”
Tang Shunian would have made more than one passage that led to his underground cellar, but other passages must have been well hidden and difficult to find.
Jing Yichen had come here with experts, and with them involved, a lot of time and energy would be saved.
As the dawn broke, another passage was finally found and in the meanwhile, an unexpected guest arrived.
That guest waved punches at Jing Yichen. “Jing Yichen, you ruthless bastard! Go to hell!”
Tiger shielded Jing Yichen and wrestled that man down on the floor.
Jing Yiran’s handsome face was twisted because of the tremendous pain which he was in. When he gradually gained back his senses, he stood up slowly with his hands against the floor.
“Why are you not taking revenge yourself? You are so cruel to make Lu come here. She may be capable, but she is a woman after all. Did you want to get her killed?” His voice sounded hoarse and angry. He was heart-broken.
Without taking a look at him or trying to listen to what he said, Jing Yichen stayed expressionless.
Seeing that he continued to stay silent, Jing Yiran got so furious that he lost control of himself, and he was about to punch him again when Tiger stopped him.
“How can you be so cruel? She is probably dead now! You are not even a human being. She works for you, but you don’t seem to care about her life! If anything happens to her, I will never forgive you!”
Jing Yiran’s voice turned hoarse after just a few words. He was very annoyed.
Jing Yichen finally glanced at him and said calmly, “I am the employer. It is her job to do whatever I ask her to. It would be incapable of her if she is killed during the task.”

He felt his heart break, and thought that Lu was leaving him.
Jing Yiran knew about this mission but had not approved of her taking the risk.
In Jing Yiran’s heart, Lu was a girl that needed to be taken care of. She might be strong and capable, but she had quit the killers’ camp and did not need to take the risk to kill Tang Shunian.
Tang Shunian was different from other targets. He was an expert at hiding himself and there were numerous underground worlds built by him in B City. He was like a rat that ran under the ground and it would be very difficult for Lu to use her ability to the fullest degree.
But Lu did not take his advice, and insisted on coming to kill Tang Shunian. Now, something terrible had happened to her.
Jing Yiran felt that his heart had been taken away. It ached so terribly that he could not breathe.
He could not stand losing Lu!
Lu was the only one he had!
Jing Yiran’s eyes were filled with tears of anger and hatred. “Jing Yichen, if Lu is dead, I will kill you and then myself!”
Jing Yichen did not speak, but took his men to another underground passage and continued following that path.
Annoyed as Jing Yiran was, he followed him as well.
He was not sure what had happened to Lu, and hoped that she was still alive. He was trying his best not to think about the terrible alternate.
He kept telling himself that Lu was too strong to be defeated, and she had many equipment with her and that she was a good shooter with inhuman strength. She was too fast for anyone to catch her.
There were obviously many more people down here than those up there, but they were not part of the core staff, just some people whom Tang Shunian had left behind.
Knife Lee and his men caught several people. All of them said the same thing, “The woman was dead, buried in the bombed passages.”
Jing Yichen’s expression did not change when he heard the words, but Jing Yiran got so furious that he kept cursing at Jing Yichen and would have punched him if not for Tiger and Knife Lee. who stopped him.
Jing Yichen looked at Jing Yiran with a cold face and said ruthlessly, “Get out of here, or I will kill you!”

Tiger understood how his master was feeling, so he knocked Jing Yiran out.
Jing Yiran suddenly collapsed upon Tiger.
Jing Yichen took a look at him and said calmly, “Get him home, stop him from making trouble here.”
Tiger responded to the order and gave Jing Yiran to his men who carried him outside.
Without Jing Yiran’s furious bellowing and cursing, the underground passage had turned silent.
Jing Yichen and his men searched everywhere, including the underground passages and cellars, yet failed to find either Tang Shunian or Lu.
