Lord Ling turned to Gu Chaoyan. The brief smile on his face stiffened. He had looked into the Elder Miss of the Gu Family before. The report said that she was tanned, chubby and ugly, and that she even had a terrible morality so she got divorced by Duke Changning’s Mansion. Therefore, he did not think that a woman like that would be the Phoenix Girl.
The only girl who was capable of being the Phoenix Girl, should be Gu Ruxue, the daughter of the present Mrs. Gu. Therefore, he was going to offer the last position of Princess Concubine to Gu Ruxue and give her what the other concubines could not possibly get, but now… As the real lineal lady of the Gu Family stood right in front of his face… He got a bit messy in his head.

Then he looked at the way Gu Chaoyan was heading, and asked in confusion. “Elder Miss, which department are you in? Why are you heading in this way?”
He was quite familiar with Saint College. And Gu Chaoyan was not heading towards any department.
Gu Chaoyan’s face twisted. What did this Lord Ling mean by asking them that? She was not heading towards any department, she was just visiting Qing Niang so that she could arrange a nice place for them to live, but she could not possibly tell him that.
She thought for a while and said, “Medical Department. However, we are not familiar with Saint College, so we are just strolling around.”
