Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love Chapter 50

Chapter 50

The gangsters were badly battered. There were dozens of them, but they were all defeated.

From afar, the sound of an ambulance siren came blasting.

“Time to go!” Ye Cheng called out loud before all four of them jumped into the vehicle almost immediately. Outside of their territory, it was inappropriate for them to get involved with the local mob.

“Lu, why aren’t you coming?” Da Sha asked hastily.

“Don’t worry about me. Go now!” Lu Beixiao turned away from them and walked towards a hidden corner.

“Xiao!” Her hero was finally here. The excitement quickened her pulse. Under the light, he could still see the tears that were glistening in her eyes. Eagerly, she rushed forward recklessly to hug him. His shirt was thoroughly wet from his sweat and some bloodstains, too, but she could not care less. They were standing so close together that his masculine scent filled her nostrils instantaneously.

Lu Beixiao said nothing. Instead, he lifted her and held her close in his arms. Together, they walked away from the crowd.

The motorbikes were still there. Gently, he put her down before placing his leg on one of the bikes. As soon as he started the engine, Ye Qiao immediately climbed onto the bike and clung to his waist.

Smoothly, he pressed on the accelerator pedal and rode the bike away at full speed, thus leaving the commotion behind.

At this very moment, all he wanted to do was to spend the night alone with the girl that he adored.

He rode the bike all the way to the east. The further he went, the fewer the cars on the road. He whizzed along the motorway at the speed of 120km/h. It was very windy, strong enough to dry out his sweat-drenched shirt. As a bonus, he was finally able to cool down.

The girl in the back still had her hands tightly squeezed around his waist with her face on his back. She had been unusually quiet. Had she fallen asleep?

He slowed down a little bit just to check on her. It seemed that Ye Qiao sat with her eyes closed as she buried her face against his back to enjoy the pleasure of his scent. His body scent, even with a tint of blood and sweat, was highly addictive to her. It was something that she had been sentimentally attached to.

He had to press on the horn a few times to finally get her attention.

“Xiao, why are you in N City? Why didn’t you tell me about it over the phone? Were you planning to surprise me? I saw a young man helping an elderly woman with her bag at the station the other day that looked like you. I didn’t expect it to be really you!” She said out loud, gleefully.

He did not expect her to see it either.

“Xiao, you’re not only strong and powerful, deep down, you’re also a boy with a kind heart.”

Lu Beixiao did not utter a single word to address her remark, but the motorbike he drove finally came to a stop by the river. Remote and desolate, there was nothing nearby but a heap of rubble.

Ye Qiao got down from the bike and quickly asked, “Xiao, are you injured? Let me have a look!” She looked at him fixedly. The headlight was still on, so it was bright enough for her to see the bloodstains on his face. There was another bloodstain on his arm, too, but she was not sure if it was his blood or someone else’s.

She reached out to grab his arm, but quietly, he pulled it away from her. She proceeded to grab the other arm, but the same thing happened.

Puzzled by his uncooperative attitude, she stared at him in bewilderment. He remained reticent, and his cap partly covered his face, so she could not read his expression.

“What’s the matter? Talk to me, will you?” She asked with a note of distress.

“Think about what you said in the courtyard the other night!” He relaxed his bite.

While leaning against the bike, Lu Beixiao took off his cap and had his arms crossed on his chest. He gazed at her, casually, waiting for her to recall. She’d better remember.

Just when Lu Beixiao thought that she had long forgotten her own promise, she suddenly threw herself on him and imprinted a kiss upon his lips. Contented, he gathered her closer and deepened the kiss.

Wrongly imprisoned for a crime she did not commit, Ye Qiao was freed from the iron gates that locked her away for seven years with nowhere to go, no one to see, and nothing to move on to following the passing of her husband, who she had never appreciated. The man was part of the Special Forces and had been killed during a mission.

She thought she would never cry again after being hardened by the hard knocks of prison life, but there she was, weeping for the man named Lu Beixiao. He had spent his entire life loving her, truly and deeply, but she had been misled by her own s*upidity and lack of trust.

On her first day out of prison, she found herself in an accident and learned that it was actually a homicide, presumably by the same people that had killed her husband. “Boss, there’s nothing to worry about. She is going to die for sure,” the stranger’s voice rang in her ears.

Even though she was going to die, all she could think of was that she wanted to see her husband again in her next life and find her way back in love.

She must.

All of sudden, Ye Qiao awakened to her life twenty years ago! It seemed that she had been given another chance to right the wrongs of the past, but would she be able to overcome the obstacles that had held her back in her past life? Who was the man responsible for her death, and would he prevent her from doing so?
