Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love Chapter 197

Chapter 197 - Childhood Friend

That girl must have stalked her a lot! She probably talked bad about her to their ignorant father too!

“Sir! That guy is my childhood friend… He’s from my hometown. He’s just a friend that happens to be a male. He just came to J town and is working at a pub, so I visit him occasionally!” She stammered a little. She kept feeling like she said something wrong, so she quickly clarified the things she brought up.

To this jealous lover, there was no such thing as a childhood friend. To him, every male who approached her had ill intentions! He was the same in their previous life!

“Childhood friend…!” Even though she added an explanation, Instructor Lu only paid attention to those two words!

His expression became even gloomier!

“Haha… childhood friend! Ye Qiao, you’ve gotten braver! When I was away, did you visit him often?!” His words reeked of jealousy.

She became angry too.

“Childhood friend simply means that we grew up together! Xiao, do you not trust me?” She rolled her eyes and pouted angrily.

Since he was still angry after reading her confession letter, she could tell how jealous he must be!

“Are you lacking confidence in yourself?!” She pouted again and looked like she was going to cry.

Seeing her tears, Lu Beixiao immediately gave in.

“Of course, I trust you! I just go crazy when I see you hang out with other guys. Do you understand? From now on, you must stay away from all the other males! If you receive any love letters, you must submit them to me!” He said domineeringly.

Ye Qiao nodded obediently. “I only went to meet Tao Chengqi to prove Ye Zhenzhen wrong! Also, there is nothing between Jian – the guy from the pub – and me!”

Hearing her explanation, Lu Beixiao calmed down and nodded.

“Instructor Lu, it’s kind of late. It’s almost bedtime, and I want to go back to my dorm!” She was afraid that others would take it wrongly if she went back too late.

“You can’t go back if you don’t finish your 3000-word reflection! The one you wrote is not even 300 words long!” Lu Beixiao teased her again.

Ye Qiao was speechless. ‘Are you serious? Or are you making me stay behind so that you can do something else?’

She rolled her eyes at him!

“Qiao!?”

“Ye Qiao! Where are you!?” Suddenly, she could hear her friends shouting nervously.

Seeing Lu Beixiao’s proud expression suddenly disappear, Ye Qiao laughed silently.

They were indeed her good friends! Seeing that she had not returned after so long, they came to look for her!

Ye Qiao felt as though she had just escaped a lion’s mouth.

This mischievous man probably wanted to do something else to her!

“Are you guys looking for Ye Qiao? Instructor Lu punished her and asked her to write a reflection. She’s probably still writing it in the office!” Instructor Peng had already gone to bed but heard them shouting and walked out to tell them.

Hearing his words, Ye Qiao immediately picked up the papers and ran to the table to continue writing her “reflection”.

Suddenly, the girls broke through the office door!

When they entered, Ye Qiao was writing her reflection pitifully, and Instructor Lu was leaning against the office desk with his arms crossed.

Wrongly imprisoned for a crime she did not commit, Ye Qiao was freed from the iron gates that locked her away for seven years with nowhere to go, no one to see, and nothing to move on to following the passing of her husband, who she had never appreciated. The man was part of the Special Forces and had been killed during a mission.

She thought she would never cry again after being hardened by the hard knocks of prison life, but there she was, weeping for the man named Lu Beixiao. He had spent his entire life loving her, truly and deeply, but she had been misled by her own s*upidity and lack of trust.

On her first day out of prison, she found herself in an accident and learned that it was actually a homicide, presumably by the same people that had killed her husband. “Boss, there’s nothing to worry about. She is going to die for sure,” the stranger’s voice rang in her ears.

Even though she was going to die, all she could think of was that she wanted to see her husband again in her next life and find her way back in love.

She must.

All of sudden, Ye Qiao awakened to her life twenty years ago! It seemed that she had been given another chance to right the wrongs of the past, but would she be able to overcome the obstacles that had held her back in her past life? Who was the man responsible for her death, and would he prevent her from doing so?
