Just as Li Yi was rushing towards his destination, a wave of messages appeared within the World Channel, making an announcement to the realm of men.
“They’ve already acquired the throne? Sister Windcloud Nine’s the king?”
Li Yi was flabbergasted.
The turn of events was just too shocking to him. It all happened too fast. He originally expected Whole of Windcloud to spend at least three to five days in order to achieve victory, but he never expected that it would be this fast.
“Brother Nine, what happened?” Li Yi hurriedly messaged Brother WIndcloud Nine.
“Hahaha, I have no interest in becoming king, so I passed the role to my wife. Don’t you worry though, as our cooperation would not be affected regardless of whoever’s sitting on the throne.”
“I’m not asking you about that. I’m asking how did you claim the throne in such a short amount of time?”
“Oh, my wife revealed her true power, hahaha…”
“What?!”
“Just go and watch the video on the official page, hahaha…”
Following that, the World Channel was dotted with announcements regarding Sister Windcloud Nine’s delegation of Officials. Naturally, these messages were accompanied by the voices of hate by those who had failed.
Similar to Jiaojiao’s ascension to the throne, Sister Windcloud Nine was brutally lambasted by the masses…
“Congrats! Congrats!”
Li Yi sent a message to Sister Windcloud Nine.
“Boohoo, I didn’t want to be Queen, but my husband forced the position on me. Now I’m forced to endure their hate…”
“Mute them, if that’s the case. To activate a King’s Order, you’ll need to press this and then…”
After Li Yi’s lesson, Sister Windcloud Nine carried out whatever he told her. Pretty soon, the chain of hatred within the nation of the Western Continent ceased abruptly.
The Throne-claiming War of the Western Continent had come to an end, and Whole of Windcloud had emerged victorious. Li Yi’s assistance was no longer required, and as such, he ordered Onyxia to turn around and head towards the Southern Continent.
While making his way to the Southern Continent, Li Yi opened up the official forum to view the videos regarding the Western Continent’s Throne-claiming War.
[The Secret Weapon, Sister Windcloud Nine..]
It did not take long for Li Yi to understand Brother Windcloud Nine’s words after he watched the video.
Within the video stood Sister Windcloud Nine at the gates into the Inner City. She was tightly surrounded by a squad of main tanks when a jet-black greatsword swirled above her head and blew her enemies away.
‘The Tuhr Sacred Sword…’
Li Yi identified the weapon at first glance.
“Sister Nine, that sword you’re carrying is the Tuhr Sacred Sword innit?”
“Yep, I cracked open a wall after you left that day, and it revealed the last piece of the altar stone. There was an incantation inscribed into it, and after I read it out, the sword automatically flew into my inventory.”
Li Yi was in disbelief.
‘What’s the deal with this? If the Tuhr Sacred Sword is in Sister Windcloud Nine’s hands, then what was the one that Akna took away before that?’
All Legendary Weapons of Myths in King of Pantheon possessed the ‘Unique’ attribute, such as the Tuhr Sacred Sword that Sister Windcloud Nine obtained from Tuhr Altar. Now that she possessed the sword, all the following Tuhr Sacred Swords that spawned within Tuhr Altar could no longer be subjugated by the players, and they would at most, function only as monsters. If any other players wished to get a Tuhr Sacred Sword of their own, their only choice was to pry it from Sister Windcloud Nine’s hands.
‘This is weird. No, bizarre. Does this mean that there are two Tuhr Sacred Swords that could be subjugated within King of Pantheon?”
The moment Li Yi thought about the Dark Contract Scroll, he involuntarily shook his head.
Monsters subjugated by the Dark Contract Scroll do not possess the ‘Unique’ attribute, and since the scroll was a consumable item, it could only be used once. Due to this, the Fire Dragon Sword would continue to spawn within Flaming Dragon Lair despite Li Yi already sealing a Fire Dragon Sword of his own.
‘This still can’t be right. Even if Akna has a Dark Contract Scroll, she couldn’t wield the sword in her hand while subjugating it.
Li Yi asked a few more questions to Sister Windcloud Nine with the intent of figuring out the mystery of the two Tuhr Sacred Swords. However, he did not expect the silly Sister Windcloud Nine to mistake his intentions, thinking that he wanted the sword for himself.
“I can mail the sword to you if you want it.”
“I don’t, that wasn’t my intention…”
Only after providing a long explanation did Sister Windcloud Nine finally understand his objective.
“There’s only one line on the last altar stone. It goes like this, ‘ Haah ahhh haahh hngg ahh ahh hmmm… 1 ”
“Stop! Stop! Stopp… that’s enough, I’ll figure it out on my own.” Li Yi wiped off a bead of sweat. He did not dare to carry on the conversation any further, as it would be easy for Brother Windcloud Nine to misunderstand should he catch wind of the conversation.
“Haahh ahhh hngg? What kind of incantation is this…’
‘Truth be told though, Sister Windcloud Nine is pretty talented. It’s such a long and bizarre incantation and yet she managed to memorize it…’
While Li Yi was racing back, the curtains to the Southern Continent’s Throne-claiming War had already lifted. Jiaojiao’s army was obstructed by the border of the Southern Continent by Drifting Snow Alliance and they were currently engaged in a full-fledged battle.
Death begets death. War is a battle of numbers, and it is a gory affair. Only those courageous souls who feared no death were worthy of becoming heroes.
To most highly skilled players, the war was a competition of numbers.
A competition of whoever killed the most, that is!
The player with the greatest number of kills within the National Hero Ranking Boards of the Invincible Continent was the Fire Wizard, Lonely Semi City, followed by Wang Wang Dumplings, Tall and Mighty, and Confused Fox.
The two forces were knee-deep in combat and the long-ranged classes were having a field day. On the other hand, the main tanks were forced to slowly ‘grind’ down their opponents due to their lack of area of effect skills. Though they had no problem handling a single foe, that was not the case when it came to a large clump of enemies as their stats were skewed towards high DEF and low ATK. Conversely, the Wizards could immediately mow down a huge group of foes with just a single Blizzard Spell.
When it came to fighting a war, the Wizards a mighty force to be reckoned with!
Of course, that was not to say that the other classes were useless. Chen Yang the Natural Summoner was one such person who defied this notion.
Owing to the presence of the Ice Queen, Shiva, Chen Yang’s kill counts continued to pile up and had far surpassed the majority of the Wizards, firmly planting himself in third place.
Out of the three Summoner classes, the Natural Summoners had always been viewed as trash by other players. The reason for their bias was simple, as the Natural Summoners lacked killing potential. Furthermore, they were not like Contract Summoners who could contract any pet they wanted, and they were instead restricted to obtaining pets via skill tomes only, which severely limited their options. Additionally, they lost the edge when it came to numbers, as Natural Summoners were unable to ‘repetitively’ summon, unlike the Undead Summoners.
Within King of Pantheon, the class with the least number of players was the Curse Priest Class, followed by the Natural Summoners.
However, for Chen Yang who owned the Ice Queen, those statements could not be applied to him.
Ice Queen Shiva’s combat prowess was brutal, and her snowfall covered an area of over a hundred yards. Anyone who made contact with it had a fixed chance of being struck with a ‘Slow’ or ‘Freeze’ status.
Chen Yang was in a comfortable position. He had a Tigerfolk 1 chick clinging to his arm and he was watching Shiva’s rampage with the utmost enthusiasm.
“F*cking hell, this is too unfair. That punk can rack up over 7,000 kills just by standing there, while I’ve only achieved 200 after hacking at them for such a long time…” A Violent Warrior grumbled.
“You tell me! Man, I’ve already drunk tons of potions and medicines, but I couldn’t even squeeze into the Top Hundred. Damn, I’ve chosen the wrong class…” A Wizard grumbled as well.
The Fatty, Chen Yang had managed to turn a trash class into one that attracted envy…
The players from the Invincible Continent were competing in kill counts, and so were the players from the Southern Continent. In this battle of wits, both forces were equally matched, with casualties suffered on both sides. It was hard to tell who was winning.
One could say that Fluttering Snow Alliance had already done all they could to secure Arthur’s Empire’s victory, as aside from the secret top boss who had yet to make an appearance, all three other branch leaders were present on the field and had joined the battle.
Brother Simon, Tyrant Sword King the Fifth, and Faded Cloud Breeze.
Each of the branch leaders was not elected just for show. Brother Simon and Tyrant Sword King were fighting shoulder to shoulder, and they had each racked up a kill count of over 3,000 men.
Out of the three branch leaders, Faded Cloud Breeze had the highest kill count and his class was the same as Chen Yang’s, a Natural Summoner. Despite that, his summon was not the Ice Queen, and was instead Hellfire Demon.
Hellfire Demon was of the same rank as Ice Queen, and they were each the Ultimate pets of Natural Summoners. If one were to state their significance, it would probably be on par with Overlord Arrow.
Compared to Chen Yang’s Ice Queen, Hellfire Demon’s attacks only inflicted an additional ‘Burn’ effect. However, it had a greater range, and every time it lifted its giant flaming fist, it could take away at least ten, no hundreds of lives.
A Blue Ice Bird Giant flew towards a group of Invincible Continent players, and after a series of vigorous beatings of its wings, it shot out a hail of Ice Arrows, killing hundreds in a single strike.
“Shoot it! Shoot it! This b*tch-*ss bird needs to be disposed of!”
The Invincible Continent players yelled out a battle cry.
The Blue Ice Bird Giant arrogantly circled above the players from the Invincible Continent and flew back towards the Southern Continent Camp.
“Snow, though this bird might not amount to your previous one, it is already a rare find. After all, Ice-element pets are hard to get. Hard to get indeed.”
Scholar, who was riding a Naga beast, shook his head as he heaved words of praise.
The Blue Ice Bird Giant was the Phoenix Archer, Drifting Snow’s newly acquired pet.
Drifting Snow’s luck was really out of this world. Back when he was sabotaged by Li Yi in the Southern Continent and was frozen within the lake, the stubborn punk did not directly head back to the capital. Instead, he chose to resurrect at a nearby temple with the intent of diving down the water again. Alas, Emperor Lan had already left, and as such, the lake had automatically frozen itself. Just as he was figuring out a plan to head back down, a Blue Ice Bird Giant swooped down from the sky and landed in front of him…
Owning an Ice-element pet as an Archer was a rare opportunity. Plus, the Blue Ice Bird Giant was not to be underestimated as well. After all, it was of the same rank as Li Yi’s Lightning Leopard, which was a scarcity in itself.
As of that moment, Drifting Snow had already achieved a kill count of over 5,000 just by relying on his Blue Ice Bird Giant.
“Don’t split up! Gather up!”
Queen Jiaojiao waved her greatsword with both her hands and though her kill count was not as impressive as 5,000, it was pretty darn close to 1,000. However, her most impressive feat was not her kill count, but her death count instead.
Right now, Jiaojiao’s death count still stood at zero, and she had yet to die even once.
Dozens of attacks landed onto Jiaojiao, but the highest damage she received was only [−100].
As ‘Lord of Disaster’ continued to rack up kills, it was imbued with an additional special effect.
Soul Guard!
For every enemy that was killed, Lord of Disaster would bind their souls, and for every soul bound, all of Jiaojiao’s attributes would increase by 1%. Furthermore, the damage she took would be reduced by 1%, and the effects were stackable, but they were only applicable in PVP matches.
Just as Jiaojiao was charging courageously into the enemy lines, Brother Simon ‘Charged’ right into her.
“Bang!”
Brother Simon’s Charge collided squarely into her, and Jiaojiao entered a state of Disorient…
Demonic Netherstrike!
A pillar composed of fresh blood enshrouded Jiaojiao, and it rose violently…
