Huo Yao simply smiled when Liu Qian kept hinting at her. She raised her brow lazily with a slightly proud look in her eyes and did not seem worried at all.
Liu Qian raised his hand and rubbed his forehead. He decided to let the troublemaker have her way.
It would not be his first time offending Qi Hui anyway.
Now that things had already gone so far, Liu Qian decided to disregard the consequences.
Jiang Mingyue was completely infuriated by Huo Yao’s words. Huo Yao must be the most annoying person she had ever encountered in her life.
How could anyone be as pretentious as her?
“Since you think I am stupid, are you saying you are better? Fine. Why don’t you give it a shot then? I wonder what 100% accuracy looks like.” Jiang Mingyue usually hardly threw a temper, but her voice sounded particularly cold this time.
The moment she finished her sentence, she made way for Huo Yao. She was worried that the annoying girl would end up making an excuse, so she walked over to the table nearby and retrieved the preliminary draft of her article.
Jiang Mingyue slammed the preliminary draft on the table next to Huo Yao. “I am a magnanimous person, so I don’t like to bully freshmen.”
The A4 papers contained complicated equations of the key concepts of Genetic Mutation. It was the refined version of Jiang Mingyue’s thesis which she intended to use for her journal submission.
Liu Qian frowned when he saw this. It was human nature to speak rashly. Jiang Mingyue knew Huo Yao was a freshman from a different division, but Jiang Mingyue kept deliberately making things difficult for Huo Yao. Now, she was clearly trying to set up Huo Yao and bully her.
Moreover, Huo Yao was expected to achieve 100% success.
Liu Qian instantly stood up. “Jiang Mingyue, can you let it go on account of me? After all, she is just a freshman, so she has limited knowledge of Biology. Since you plan on submitting that article to the journal, it should be kept confidential.”
Jiang Mingyue just knew Liu Qian would stand up for Huo Yao again. Then again, Huo Yao probably knew Liu Qian would speak up for her, so she did not think twice when she had challenged her.
Sure enough, she was a scheming woman.
Jiang Mingyue pursed her lips and said, “Mr. Liu, I think Huo Yao is very knowledgeable. Since she is the top scholar, I am sure this experiment is easy as pie for her.”
Did he want her to let it go? He could forget about it!
Jiang Mingyue paused before she turned to look at Huo Yao. “Don’t you agree?”
Liu Qian did not expect Jiang Mingyue to use this against Huo Yao. He frowned as he said, “That’s a completely different matter. How could you…”
“Yes, she is right.” Huo Yao stood up unhurriedly and interrupted Liu Qian airily. “I am the top scholar. Would I have any problem completing this stupid experiment?”
Liu Qian went speechless when he heard her annoying tone of voice.
His blood pressure skyrocketed once more.
“Humph! In that case, I will be waiting to see your results,” sneered Jiang Mingyue before she turned to walk off.
Who did she think she was?
Huo Yao squeezed her wrist before walking up to the computer and sat down without even glancing at Jiang Mingyue’s preliminary draft on the table or writing down any equations.
The smile on Jiang Mingyue’s face was absolutely cold.
Liu Qian got worried, so he hurriedly went over to Huo Yao and stood beside her. Even though the troublemaker looked very confident and seemed to know what she was talking about… she must be very worried inside!
