The archive room came equipped with a digital lock and only a number of teachers on campus had access to it. After all, the archive room contained important information about their research that could not be disclosed.
Qi Hui unlocked the door, walked in to open cabinet L, placed his sealed envelope inside, and locked the cabinet after he was done.
Just as Qi Hui was about to leave, he noticed that the cabinet containing the past years’ research information was slightly opened and unlocked.
He froze for a couple of seconds before he opened the cabinet
One of the teachers did not remember to close the cabinet after archiving some files.
Qi Hui sorted out the slight mess in the cabinet. Just as he was about to close the cabinet, a thought crossed his mind, so he retrieved the documents from the cabinet and flipped through them quickly to find a research project he had done six months ago.
He opened the manila envelope and looked at the documentation of his research which consisted of slightly over ten pages. There was nothing wrong with the documents, but the last two pages were not arranged in order of their pages.
Qi Hui narrowed his eyes slightly. He had personally archived these files, so no such problem should be expected.
Had anyone touched these files in the recent past?
Qi Hui frowned as he pondered. There was no surveillance inside the archive room. Also, the teachers with access had no reason to touch his files.
Qi Hui could not wrap his mind around it. He placed the documents back inside the cabinet and left the archives while contemplating deeply.

In the afternoon, Huo Yao had two classes. After they were over, Liu Qian invited her to observe again at the laboratory.
Ever since the last time Huo Yao observed the experiment, she had lost interest in it. However, Liu Qian was kind enough to invite her, so she did not have the heart to turn him down.
When Huo Yao entered the laboratory, Liu Qian, Jiang Mingyue, and her teammates were already present. Huo Yao was the last to get there.
Jiang Mingyue was talking to her team members. The moment she saw Huo Yao, she simply glanced at Huo Yao without even greeting her.
She assumed Liu Qian would not bring Huo Yao to observe this time, but was mistaken.
Then again, this was the perfect opportunity to get attention. Why would Huo Yao pass up on this opportunity?
Jiang Mingyue pursed her lips and looked away.
Liu Qian failed to notice Jiang Mingyue’s poor attitude towards Huo Yao. He was reading the revised experiment plan and waved Huo Yao over when she came into the laboratory.
“Did I hold you up?” asked Liu Qian.
“Nope.” Huo Yao glanced at the new experiment plan in his hand and raised her brow.
Liu Qian noticed her gaze. Even though she was a freshman and did not understand its contents, he did not mind explaining it to her.
He handed the revised experiment plan to Huo Yao. “Jiang Mingyue and her team have revised the experiment plan, and made some changes…”
Jiang Mingyue felt speechless when she saw Liu Qian explaining things to Huo Yao. She was just a freshman. How on earth would she be able to understand it?
The student was inconceivable and now even her teacher was… Jiang Mingyue shook her head. She felt she ought to place her attention on the experiment instead.
Liu Qian was patiently explaining everything to Huo Yao when she finished reading all three pages of the revised experiment plan.
Liu Qian did not know what to say when he saw Huo Yao quickly flip to the last page.
Huo Yao flipped back to the first page and simply said, “It is a little better than the old experiment plan.”
However, it was still horse shit.
Huo Yao quietly pursed her lips.
