Huo Yao headed to the laboratory block with Liu Qian’s permission slip. After the teacher in charge took a look at it, he felt a little puzzled, but he did not ask her anything. Instead, he showed Huo Yao straight to the Life Science laboratories located on the third floor of the building.
After the teacher opened the door for her, he walked over to the cabinet by the side and retrieved a pair of disposable gloves for her. He told her to be careful with the laboratory equipment and left.
Huo Yao closed the door. She put on the gloves as she glanced around the laboratory.
Tsing University was undoubtedly a leader in Science and the laboratory was well equipped. Although it was not at the same level as research institutes, it was good enough for general research.
Huo Yao took out the two vials of blood samples that Lin Shuwen had given her. She took one vial and placed it in front of the blood analyzer.
The blood analyzer was connected to the biological computer, so she turned it on before activating the apparatus next to it.
The school apparatus had limited functionality, but it worked the same way in theory as the one she used in the clan back in the day.
Huo Yao studied the apparatus briefly before she mixed a few drops of blood specimen with an analysis solution and placed it under the high-power microscope.
She could visually observe the blood specimen to identify any irregularities and the analysis solution could help separate the components of the blood. It was enough for her to conduct a basic analysis of the specimen.
It was completely different from Chinese medicine.
Huo Yao printed the data off the computer ten minutes later.
Sure enough, Li Fang’s blood contained a lot of one particular element.
Huo Yao contemplated briefly before she turned off the apparatus and stood up. She took the used vessels and brought them to the sink to clean and sterilize them. After she was done with the washing, she put everything back in place and opened the door to leave without lingering.

Jiang Mingyue had told Mu Qing about the problems she was facing with her experiment the previous day. After he gave her some ideas and adjusted their experiment plan slightly, the gene variation simulation became a lot smoother.
Today, her team was at the laboratory conducting the experiment.
The serious expression on Jiang Mingyue’s face eased up when she saw the simulation results on the computer screen.
“I think this time, we will be able to meet the minimum requirement for the comparative test,” said one of her team members excitedly.
“We have Mingyue to thank for talking Mu Qing into helping us. Otherwise, we would still be stuck till now,” said another team member.
Jiang Mingyue smiled as she looked at the simulation results on the computer monitor. She took out her phone and told her team, ” I am going out to make a call. The rest of you can continue checking the numbers.”
The moment she finished her sentence, she unlocked the door and went out.
Before long, the phone got through. Mingyue promptly spoke in a sweet voice.
“You did a fantastic job refining our experiment plan yesterday. We succeeded when we did the preliminary simulation. Now, we just need to conduct comparative testing. However, I think we have a 90% chance of succeeding. Thanks for the help.”
Mu Qing sounded unsurprised as he replied mildly. “You’re welcome. You were the one who came up with the experiment plan. I simply helped make some adjustments.”
“I know. No matter what, you helped us solve a huge problem.” Jiang Mingyue held the phone by her ear with her head lowered as she tapped the tip of her toes on the ground every now and then.
Jiang Mingyue paused and raised her head to look casually at the other end of the corridor before she continued. “Are you free tonight? I want to buy you…”
Jiang Mingyue’s voice paused when she saw the silhouette in front of her. A second later, she finally finished her sentence. “…dinner.”
