Huo Yao paid no attention to the way the assistant was looking at her. After taking the things from him, she thanked him and left.
The assistant looked at Huo Yao for some time from behind before he finally veered his eyes and hurried back backstage.
It was going to be a busy night.
**
Huo Yao went back to her seat with the banner and lightstick. She no longer stuck out like a sore thumb.
The guests around her were already seated. Most of them were girls around her age. Some of them seemed to know each other since they were chatting with each other.
Huo Yao was not in the entertainment industry and wasn’t in any fan clubs, so she did not share the same kind of excitement as the other fans. She simply sat quietly with her eyes on center stage.
A girl beside her nudged her arm. “What fan club district are you in charge of? Why haven’t I seen you before?”
The best seats in the house were usually reserved for the fan club management who had made a lot of contributions. Also, most of them knew each other. Now that there was an unfamiliar face among them, people could not help taking notice of her.
Since it was already turning dark and the lights in the audience’s section were dim, no one was able to see or recognize Huo Yao.
Huo Yao went quiet for a couple of seconds before she said, “I am not the fan club management.”
“Oh. Does this mean you are the lucky guest who got drawn?” asked the girl in shock.
Huo Yao waved her lightstick and did not quite understand what she meant by the lucky guest. However, she simply nodded so that people would stop asking how she got the tickets for the best seats.
“You are so lucky,” sighed the girl enviously.
The lucky guest would get a mystery gift.
Huo Yao smiled and said nothing.
The concert started at 8:00 pm sharp. The concert commenced explosively as the dazzling lights instantly made the atmosphere electrifying.
It was the first time Huo Yao ever attended a huge live concert. It felt as though she was in a completely different world. She watched the passionate performance on stage and the fans cheering for Huo Xiang.
The first song was the theme song from Huo Xiang’s latest album and Huo Yao had heard it before. However, it felt different to hear it live in this explosive atmosphere.
Huo Yao raised her brow as she looked at Huo Xiang standing at center stage. Other than his magical voice, his dancing was equally good.
It was no wonder someone wanted to ruin his career.
Considering how flexible he was, it was a pity for him not to dance professionally.
The concert was initially planned for three hours. Since the fans were very excited, the organizer decided to extend the event for an hour, so it would end at around 12 midnight.
Huo Yao received a text message from Tong Yu at slightly past 11:00 pm and quietly left her seat to go backstage.
Tong Yu was speaking into the communication device giving orders, but promptly stopped when he saw Huo Yao coming over. He walked over to her. “Come with me?”
Huo Yao nodded. She glanced at the communication device in his ear. “Are you busy?”
“Now that the concert is extended, we have to make plans for it,” said Tong Yu as he smiled.
He paused and checked his wristwatch before he continued. “Someone will get your makeup done. In about 30 minutes, the guest has to appear for the finale. You just need to say a few things to the audience before we call it a night.”
The moment he finished his sentence, Tong Yu brought Huo Yao to the changing room.
