Huo Yulin tossed the bottle of soy sauce into the air like a thug. The moment it landed in his hands, he turned to look at Lu Xia. “Leave.”
His voice was completely cold. Sinister veins could be seen protruding on the back of his hand as he held the soy sauce bottle. It seemed like he was doing his utmost to be patient.
Lu Xia trembled in fear and hurriedly retreated a few steps. There were a few children riding bicycles on the road. A bicycle ran right into her leg when she moved back and almost threw her onto the ground.
The kid was stunned but rode off on his bicycle out of fear that he might get scolded.
Lu Xia felt annoyed, but the moment she made eye contact with Huo Yulin, she disregarded the pain in her leg and grabbed her purse to run away without lingering on even for a second.
She was here to visit her grandmother, but she threw that plan to the back of her mind.
Before long, she vanished from Huo Yulin’s sight. She ran so swiftly that she looked almost like she was running away from her abductors.
A light drizzle had unknowingly started to fall along with some fine snow. It landed on Huo Yulin’s hair and clothes before melting quickly.
Huo Yulin gazed at the sky for some time before veering his eyes. He covered Huo Yao’s package under his jacket and headed to Old Madam Yang’s place unhurriedly.
He saw Huo Yao coming out dressed warmly with an umbrella when he got to the house. Her exquisite face and warm eyes instantly drove the coldness away from Huo Yulin’s gaze.
All the emotions on Huo Yulin’s face had already disappeared.
“What took you so long? I was starting to think that you lost your way,” said Huo Yao as she put the umbrella over his head.
Huo Yulin pursed his lips and nodded gently before he said, “I made a wrong turn on my way to the store.”
Huo Yao raised her brow. “Do you need help with your memory like Brother Xiang?”
Huo Yulin gently patted the back of her head and said teasingly, “How dare you make fun of me?”
Huo Yao touched her earlobe and tilted her head sideways. He was at it again!
This was the Nth time he had touched her head!
Before long, the two of them went back into the house.
Since the heater was on, Huo Yao took off her jacket and hung it on the clothes rack beside the door.
Min Yu sat on the couch brewing tea and greeted Huo Yulin politely when he came back.
Huo Yulin glanced at him. Since Huo Yao was around, he acknowledged him softly a moment later.
Huo Yao took the soy sauce and passed it to Old Madam Yang in the kitchen and came back.
Huo Yulin handed the package to Huo Yao. “Here is your package.”
He noticed that there wasn’t any shipping information or tracking number on the package while handing it over to Huo Yao, so he automatically asked. “I didn’t notice when I collected it, but there aren’t any shipping details on it. Why don’t you check if everything is in there?”
Huo Yao did not open the package. She simply waved her hand and said, “It’s fine. That stupid website does this all the time. Everything is shipped without shipping details.”
Huo Yulin could not help feeling surprised. “Really?”
Min Yu raised his head and looked at the package in Huo Yao’s hands. Since he did not detect anything amiss, he looked away and continued brewing tea.
“Uh huh” Huo Yao nodded before she sighed sadly. “But their shipping costs a bomb.”
The shipping fee was 15% of the cost of goods sold. The website was simply ruthless!
