Huo Tingrui cleared his throat. “Of course I’m suing her. Have you forgotten that I am a lawyer?”
“Oh?” Huo Yao dragged the syllable for a long time in disbelief.
If that was all he did, Shen Si and Wu Miao wouldn’t have looked for her and begged for forgiveness. Was her second older brother trying to pull a fast one on her because she didn’t know anything about law?

Huo Tingrui thought about how the Lu family had gone bankrupt. He hesitated before he said, “Will Old Madam Yang be keen on seeing you?”
“It will be fine.” Huo Yao knew what the old lady’s personality was like.
She glanced at Huo Tingrui quizzically. “Brother Tingrui, is there something you want to tell me?”
Huo Tingrui pondered before he decided to tell her about the Lu family’s situation. “I am just worried it might get awkward for you if you visit Old Madam Yang. After all, the Lu family has gone bust. Also, your foster mother can get quite unreasonable.”
