Huo Tingrui cleared his throat. “Of course I’m suing her. Have you forgotten that I am a lawyer?”
“Oh?” Huo Yao dragged the syllable for a long time in disbelief.
If that was all he did, Shen Si and Wu Miao wouldn’t have looked for her and begged for forgiveness. Was her second older brother trying to pull a fast one on her because she didn’t know anything about law?
Huo Tingrui glanced at her. “What did you mean by that?”
Huo Yao nodded before she did her utmost to find the right words to praise him. “Brother Tingrui, you are the best!”
Huo Tingrui went speechless from the discrimination.
He scratched his head before he changed the subject. “Oh yes. I heard Yulin say that you want to go back to visit Old Madam Yang after your exam.”
“Uh huh. I have already booked my ticket,” replied Huo Yao.
Huo Tingrui thought about how the Lu family had gone bankrupt. He hesitated before he said, “Will Old Madam Yang be keen on seeing you?”
“It will be fine.” Huo Yao knew what the old lady’s personality was like.
She glanced at Huo Tingrui quizzically. “Brother Tingrui, is there something you want to tell me?”
Huo Tingrui pondered before he decided to tell her about the Lu family’s situation. “I am just worried it might get awkward for you if you visit Old Madam Yang. After all, the Lu family has gone bust. Also, your foster mother can get quite unreasonable.”
Huo Yao didn’t know about the Lu family’s bankruptcy. Then again, they had chosen to smear the mayor, so it was impossible for them to get away with it scot free.
She contemplated briefly before she waved her hand and said, “It’s fine. It’s no big deal.”
Even if the Lu family went bankrupt, He Xiaoman would never go back to her hometown or be bothered with Old Madam Yang.
Huo Tingrui noticed his little sister’s insistence, so he didn’t try to talk her out of it. After all, Old Madam Yang had brought up Huo Yao for years and they cared about each other a lot.
After they were done chatting, Huo Yao headed back to her room where she took out her phone and made a video call to Old Madam Yang.
She finally felt at ease when she noticed that Old Madam Yang looked completely fine.
“… Oh yes. I bought air tickets for 16th January,” said Huo Yao.
Old Madam Yang was stunned the moment she heard this. Moments later, she finally realized what Huo Yao meant and looked delighted. “Are you coming back?”
“Uh huh,” acknowledged Huo Yao softly. She smiled when she saw Old Madam Yang’s reaction.
“There are still two weeks to go. In that case, I need to prepare something special for you. Since you have been studying so hard, I am sure you’ve lost a lot of weight. When you come over, I will nourish you back to health…”
Old Madam Yang wiped a tear from the corner of her eye as she spoke. However, she quickly realized that she was overreacting and quickly made an excuse before hanging up the phone.
Her granddaughter was coming back to visit her. This was the best news ever.
Huo Yao laughed as she shook her head when she realized that her grandmother had hung up on her.

Time passed swiftly before the term finals were here.
For two days, the students were under great pressure. They finally felt relieved when they finished their last paper.
Yi Lianfan came over with a few boxes of homemade snacks and gave them to Huo Yao before she left school. “My mother made these. She wanted to thank you for the prescription. She has already recovered completely. Do you want to come over and hang out at my place during the winter break?”
