Wu Miao tightened her grip on the steering wheel. “Then what should we do now?”
Although it was an attack on the Shen family, the Wu family was having an equally hard time and her family business’s stock had been plummeting for a week. If this went on, they might end up being bankrupt.
Shen Si stopped rubbing her forehead and looked annoyed. “It’s all your fault. Would this have happened if you didn’t get jealous of her?”
Wu Miao bit her lip. Even though Shen Si gave Wu Miao her full support previously, Wu Miao did not argue. Instead, she accepted all the blame.
“We can talk when we get back.” Shen Si closed her eyes and sighed powerlessly.

Meanwhile, Old Mr. Yi had already sent for more food by the time Huo Yao and Min Yu entered the private room.
“Yao, did those two give you any trouble?” asked Mrs. Yi in concern.
Huo Yao shook her head and smiled. “No, they didn’t. Thanks for asking.”
Mrs. Yi felt relieved to hear this. “If you need help, feel free to ask me.”
“Uh huh.” Huo Yao nodded obediently.
The moment Mrs. Yi saw this, she regretted not having a little girl when she could.
Old Mr. Yi chatted with Min Yu every now and then. Since they were eating, they were not able to talk as much.
Shortly after dinner, Huo Yao and Min Yu bade farewell and left.
After they got into the car, Huo Yao held Min Yu’s wrist and placed her fingers on his pulse.
She noticed that he hadn’t eaten much earlier. Even when he did, his hand looked a little shaky. If she didn’t observe him carefully, it would have escaped notice.
Min Yu looked at her sideways. “Is Shen Si making trouble for you?”
Huo Yao didn’t answer as she continued to examine his pulse. Moments later, she let go of his hand. “Why does this always happen? Each time you leave, you either come back with a relapse or injuries.”
Min Yu didn’t look uncomfortable when Huo Yao discovered his condition. He merely replied nonchalantly. “It was just a minor injury.”
Huo Yao looked at him sideways before she replied to his previous question about Shen Si and Wu Miao. “They were here to apologize to me.”
Min Yu raised his brow. “For what they did on social media?”
“Probably, I guess.” Huo Yao shrugged. Her phone rang in her pocket, so she stopped talking and retrieved it.
It was Huo Tingrui calling her.
Huo Yao was unsurprised. She told Huo Tingrui she would get home in approximately ten minutes before hanging up.
She turned to look at Min Yu and reminded him. “You should go home and get some rest.”
The light in the car was on. When it reflected off her lovely face, her eyes looked bright and beautiful. Min Yu glanced at her and acknowledged softly. “Okay.”
He shifted his gaze and looked out of the car window with a smile on his lips.

After Huo Yao got home, her second older brother called her to the garden for a chat.
“Yao, did that Shen woman look you up?” Huo Tingrui received a call from Shen Si asking him out for a chat.
He learned that Shen Si and Wu Miao had deliberately waited for his little sister at school.
Huo Yao was surprised. “How did you know?”
“She called to tell me that they wanted to apologize to you.” Huo Tingrui kicked a pebble on the ground as he spoke in contempt. “Just ignore them. They deserve it.”
The moment Huo Yao heard what her brother said, she crossed her arms and raised her brow. “What have you done to them to make them beg me for forgiveness?”
