Huo Yao handed the prescription to Mrs. Yi after she was done writing and said, “You are suffering from Yin blood stasis. Women often experience endometriosis. All you have to do is follow this prescription and take it for half a month.”
Mrs. Yi picked up the piece of paper. She did not look at the contents of the paper right away.
Instead, she was shocked. “You are absolutely right. The doctor told me it was endometriosis as well. He prescribed me some medicine, but it didn’t work.”
The young lady was able to diagnose her condition so quickly after taking her pulse. It was simply incredible.
Huo Yao picked up the teacup and had a sip before she said, “It is not a big problem. Just use my prescription and you will recover soon.”
Mrs. Yi nodded. She finally looked at the piece of paper and realized that most of the Chinese herbs in the prescription seemed familiar to her. She folded it and placed it in her pocket.
Yi Lianfan and Old Mr. Yi came back with the food before long.
Yi Lianfan was genuinely a gifted chef. The last time she sampled his cooking, it was still apprentice-level cooking. But this time, he was ready to graduate.
Huo Yao praised his cooking generously.
Chen Xiang heard everything as he was standing outside. He merely scoffed before walking off and couldn’t be bothered listening to Huo Yao.
The young woman kept acting like a smart aleck about Chinese medicine just for the sake of getting Old Mr. Yi’s attention.
Now that Yi Lianfan was here, she stopped being picky and readily praised him. It was pure flattery in an effort to get close to them. Only Old Mr. Yi and the others would be so blind not to realize it.
More guests were coming in. Since all the wait staff was occupied, Chen Xiang personally went to serve the new arrivals.
Two young women, wearing sunglasses and masks, had entered the place. Judging from their gear, they seemed worried about getting recognized.
Chen Xiang asked quizzically. “Would you like to dine in the main hall or a private room?”
These were none other than Wu Miao and Shen Si who had entered the place.
“We aren’t here to eat. We are looking for someone,” said Wu Miao after removing her sunglasses.
Chen Xiang frowned when he heard this. However, he asked rather politely. “Who are you looking for?”
“We are looking for a young student who entered 20 minutes ago. She goes by the surname Huo,” said Wu Miao.
Chen Xiang immediately figured out who they were looking for based on the description.
He contemplated for two seconds before he replied. “Miss Huo is Old Mr. Yi’s guest. If you want to see her, you can give her a call.”
Wu Miao bit her lip. If she had Huo Yao’s number, she would not have had to come all the way here. “We are her friends and we need to see her urgently. Mind taking us to her?”
“Erm…” Chen Xiang hesitated. He glanced at them a couple of times before he nodded. “Come this way, please.”
After they got to the door, Chen Xiang told them to wait outside before he lifted the bead curtain and said to Huo Yao, “Miss Huo, a couple of your friends want to see you.”
Huo Yao raised her brow and looked at the door as the bead curtain swung slightly. She was able to see the two people standing outside the door.
She merely glanced at them before she veered her eyes nonchalantly and replied. “I don’t know them.”
The moment Old Mr. Yi heard this, he looked at Chen Xiang angrily. “Can’t you see we are trying to eat here?”
It was so rude of him.
Chen Xiang detected Old Mr. Yi’s annoyance and became embarrassed. However, he realized his abrupt behaviour, and explained softly. “The two guests looked like they needed to see her urgently, so I came in to check.”
He didn’t expect Huo Yao to blatantly claim that she didn’t know them.
Would they have asked to see her if they were not acquainted?
Chen Xiang couldn’t help looking at Huo Yao angrily.
