“Didn’t you say that you happened to be nearby?” asked Huo Yao as she smiled ambiguously.
Min Yu remained calm after she blew his cover. His profile looked cool and confident. “If you reject me, it will be embarrassing for me.”
Huo Yao rubbed her hands. Her red wool coat brought out her fair flawless skin. “If there is food involved, I usually don’t turn down such offers.”
Min Yu was completely unsurprised by her answer. After all, she was a miser and a foodie.
A few minutes later, the car pulled up at the restaurant.
Huo Yao stood at the entrance and gazed at the signboard. Was this one of her family’s restaurants as well?
Min Yu walked over after parking the car to see her standing there in a daze. He automatically asked. “Yao?”
Huo Yao gathered her thoughts and looked at him as she shook her head.
The two of them entered the restaurant one after another. The wait staff were not overly enthusiastic and seemed rather normal.
Shortly after they sat down in the private room, the kitchen sent their food. Cantonese dishes tended to be lighter in flavor. The dishes looked exquisite, the portions were generous and there were a lot of dishes.
The table was laden with excellent food and looked particularly appetizing.
Huo Yao had been eating homemade bone soup for days ever since she got hospitalized, and was particularly sick of it. After the waiters sent the food over, she did not hold back and promptly picked up the chopsticks.
Min Yu’s lips pursed gently when he saw this, but said nothing. Even though the atmosphere was quiet, it felt perfect.
Halfway through the meal, Min Yu put down his chopsticks and wiped his mouth with a piece of tissue. He leaned into the seat backrest and watched the young woman sitting across from him eat.
After she was more or less done with the food, he picked up the teapot and added more tea to her cup. “I will be away for a couple of days. If you need something, you can call me or Zhuo Yun.”
The moment Huo Yao heard what he said, she raised her head and looked at him as she acknowledged. “Okay.”
Huo Yao put down her chopsticks and did not go on eating. Huo Yao rapped her fingers on the table gently and glanced at the time on her wrist watch before she said, “Come on. I need to go back.”
“Sure.” Min Yu stood up and retrieved their coats from the garment rack nearby. He handed Huo Yao her coat before putting on his.
Huo Yao thanked him for it.
Before long, the two of them left the restaurant. The wind was strong outside and the skies looked dark. It seemed as though it was about to rain.
Huo Yao pulled her coat together and got into the car.
A few minutes later, Huo Yao undid her seat belt and got off the car when they arrived at the hospital entrance. Before she got off, she turned to look at Min Yu and said solemnly, “Take care.”
Min Yu looked into Huo Yao’s eyes for a couple of seconds before he finally realized what she was talking about. He raised his brows slightly and said calmly, “Uh huh.”
Huo Yao cleared her throat and said, “See you.”
She opened the car door and got off.
She was tall and slender. Her bright red coat seemed capable of driving her cool aura away.
Min Yu watched until she disappeared before he shifted his eyes and drove off.

Huo Yao walked into the hospital lobby and pressed the lift to go up.
The lift was on its way down and it took barely a minute for it to get to the ground floor. The lift door opened with a chime with Huo Yao standing outside. Her hands were encased in her coat pockets, making her look very laid back.
There was a middle-aged man in the lift, dressed in black giving off an imposing aura. His face looked intimidating and his eyes looked stern.
Huo Yao glanced at the man. She did not appear afraid at all. She narrowed her eyes before she stood aside and courteously let him exit the lift first.
