Lu Hongwen placed the bank card in Lu Xia’s hands before he cleared his throat and said, “Nothing much. I recall that you were pretty close with your eldest foster brother, right?”
Lu Xia’s fingers trembled and the card landed on the ground.
Lu Hongwen glanced at her.
Lu Xia quickly composed herself before she bent over to pick it up. “Dad, why did you suddenly bring this up? I did as you said. I have already cut off ties with the Huo family.”
“Nothing much. I just feel a little sorry for you recently. If you like the Huo family, I won’t stop you from staying in touch with them. After all, I understand your feelings for them since they raised you for years,” said Lu Hongwen thoughtfully.
Lu Xia lowered her eyes. The card in her hand suddenly felt burning hot. She just knew that her biological father would not have offered her money for no reason.
“Me and the Huo family…” Before she finished her sentence, Lu Hongwen interrupted her.
“Also, aren’t you classmates with Yaoyao? Why don’t you girls go shopping this weekend? Since the Huo family isn’t rich, she might not be able to afford to buy any designer goods. If she likes anything, go ahead and put it on my card.” Lu Hongwen stood with his hands behind his back and offered generously.

This card was not meant for her. In reality, he wanted her to take Huo Yao shopping!
