Huo Yao picked up her phone and scrolled through the text messages.
Unknown Person: [Oh god! Why did you hack into my phone in the middle of the night kid?]
Unknown Person: [What has my phone done to offend you?]
Unknown Person: [Why are you hacking my laptop and phone? Have you fallen for me? Thanks but I’m not gay.]
Huo Yao’s lips twitched.
She tapped on the screen: [Oh. I got a new laptop and was just trying it out.]
Unknown Person: [Did it have to be me?]
Huo Yao stopped chatting with him. She looked at the computer quietly before placing her phone on the table and taking out the velvet box.
The box was clearly intended for jewelry.
Huo Yao hesitated for two seconds before she opened the box to see a diamond-embellished bracelet inside. Since its design was minimal, it suited girls her age.
Huo Yao took out the bracelet and looked at it. Just as she was about to place it back in the box, she noticed something unusual about its clasp.
Huo Yao held it close and scrutinized it for some time before she smiled knowingly.
The bracelet was installed with a GPS device.
It was not intended for the use of tracking someone but more for emergencies.
Now that her eldest uncle had given her this gift, she suddenly felt curious about him.
After all, an average person was incapable of getting their hands on such high-end devices.
Huo Yao placed the bracelet back in the box. She thought about what she should give in return after receiving such expensive gifts.
She recalled hearing that her mysterious uncle was unwell earlier during the dinner.
In that case, it would be easy for her to return the favor. After all, she was good at treating patients.
Huo Yao tapped her fingers on the table and stopped thinking about it. She stood up and went back to bed.

The next day.
Huo Yao got up early in the morning as usual and prepared to go for her morning run.
After she went downstairs, she saw Huo Yulin was awake as well. She walked over in surprise. “Brother Yulin, are you up already?”
Huo Yao went closer and noticed how haggard he looked. He clearly did not have a good night’s rest.
She frowned at the sight.
Huo Yulin had a glass of warm water in his hand. The moment he saw his little sister walking over, he slightly clenched his other hand to conceal the pills and placed his fist by the side of his body.
“I’m still suffering from jet lag,” said Huo Yulin softly.
Huo Yao lowered her eyes and inadvertently looked at his right hand. However, she raised her head nonchalantly and asked him. “Did you use the incense last night?”
He had used the incense last night but was still unable to sleep, so he decided to take some sleeping pills.
Huo Yulin nodded and replied. “I forgot to light one.”
Huo Yao did not expose him. She contemplated for two seconds, raised her hand to check the time and decided not to go for a run today. She said, “Shall I try some acupuncture on you?”
“Huh?” Huo Yulin looked at her in surprise. “Acupuncture?”
Huo Yao nodded and said with a straight face, “I learned some acupuncture from an elderly Chinese physician when I was living in the countryside. I’m pretty good. If you let me treat you, I guarantee you a good night’s sleep.”
Huo Yulin went quiet for a few seconds. However, the thought of getting good sleep was so enticing that he could not pass it up, so he cleared his throat. “Will I take up a lot of your time?”
Huo Yao waved her hand. “It’s fine. It’s still early.”
“Okay then.”
Huo Yulin quickly went upstairs with Huo Yao.
