1670 Here For Huo Yao
Huo Yao raised her eyes nonchalantly and asked him in a serious tone. “Senior Brother, where are you?”
“I…” Just as Li Chenhui was about to speak, something happened on the other end. After a brief chaos, nothing could be heard over the phone anymore.
Huo Yao pulled her phone down and looked at the screen. The call had disconnected. She tried calling again but to no avail.
She frowned. Before long, she swiped down to Uncle Changfeng’s number and called him. After a couple of rings, the call got through.
“Hi, Miss Huo.”
Huo Yao acknowledged him softly. Immediately, she cut to the chase and said, “Uncle Changfeng, something might have happened to my senior brothers. Can you help me check if they are still at the hotel?”
She had to know what was going on.
The moment Huo Changfeng heard what she said, his face turned solemn. “Okay then. I’ll call Xie now and find out more.”
“Thanks, Uncle Changfeng.”
Huo Yao hung up the phone. Min Yu was still behind and had yet to drive off. He wound down the windows, leaned his head sideways, and asked. “What happened?”
A cold expression emerged on Huo Yao’s face. She turned her head and glanced at Min Yu. “Something might have happened to my senior brothers. Senior Brother Li called to say someone wants to catch me.”
Min Yu knew Huo Yao was pretty close to her senior brothers. He said, “Calm down. The culprit’s looking for you, so nothing will happen to your senior brothers until they find you.”
“Uh huh,” acknowledged Huo Yao.
Her phone rang.
It was Uncle Changfeng calling her back.
“The perpetrator got past Xie and took your senior brothers. We’re still trying to find out exactly where they are. We haven’t been able to establish the identity of the culprit either.”
Huo Changfeng paused and said apologetically, “I’m so sorry, Miss Huo. My oversight led to this.”
Huo Yao’s eyes turned increasingly cold. “It’s not your fault. They were here for me.”
No matter how many people they sent to protect her senior brothers, the culprit was bound to find a loophole somehow.
“Here for you?” Huo Changfeng froze briefly. “Miss Huo, any idea who they are?”
Huo Yao pursed her lips and asked. “Uncle Changfeng, is Mr. Wu still at the hotel?”
“That’s right. He did not leave the hotel at all, so he was fine.” Huo Changfeng pondered and said, “I will do my best to locate your senior brothers as soon as possible.”
Huo Yao held her phone gently. She had already made up her mind, so she turned down Uncle Changfeng’s kind offer. “Thanks, Uncle Changfeng. Just stay out of it for now. I know where they are and I can handle it from here on.”
Those people were after her, so it was easy enough for her to locate her senior brothers.
Huo Changfeng felt it was not as simple as it seemed and wanted to warn her against it. Before he was able to speak his mind, Huo Yao had already hung up the phone, and the call disconnected.
Huo Changfeng paused briefly. However, he felt bad about it, so he still sent subordinates to locate her senior brothers.
After Huo Yao hung up the phone, she glanced at the Huo residence and veered her eyes. She quickly walked up to Min Yu’s car, opened the front passenger seat car door, and got in.
It seemed as though they had a tacit understanding between them. Min Yu did not ask where she wanted to go. He simply started the engine and turned the car around and drove off.
After Huo Yao got into the car, she sent her eldest uncle a text message telling him she had something to attend to. Once she was done, she changed her phone to computer mode.
As expected, she managed to find her senior brothers’ GPS location effortlessly within no time.
